remember to stand up for yourself when needed. also be reminded that sometimes we can be the ones mistreating ourselves or others. be mindful, & be concious.
remember that more often than not others are a reflection of ourselves. we must first be kind to ourselves and others, only then will kindness be returned.
“Practicing compassion goes hand-in-hand with practicing realisation. On your cushions in the dojo, you learn first of all to be compassionate towards yourself. …we vow to save all beings, but how do you save the roughnecks in your own mind? Treat them as neighbors who come to the door when you were meditating. Take a moment to acknowledge them. They are closer than neighbours after all.
“Oh, there you are you violent thought.” with this recognition, you are Kanjizai, at ease with yourself because you are no longer blindly responsive to your thinking and feeling- and thus no longer at the mercy of your karma. Then, when your boss or somebody else takes a roll in the old family play that formed your life, you can exclaim “Oh, I remember you!” and the pain will be reduced. You’ll be left to deal with circumstances which might be difficult enough without clouds of childish emotions to confuse them.”

remember that staying in our comfort zone might not always be good for us. even though change is scary, its always durable. resilience is a choice!
There are far too many predisposed interpretations of the word "therapy" that are commonly related to an attempt of fixing an illness or infirmity. I hope to emphasise therapy as a means toward complete physical, mental and social wellbeing. Gestalt therapy avails the quest towards this harmonious balance, as opposed to a traditional embarkment for a cure. The point here is not to learn, or to understand, but rather experiment. Perls proposed that gestalt psychology/theory/therapy is too good to only be reserved for the ill or the odd, and spoke of the philosophy as a therapy for "normal" people too. Gestalt therapy encourages one to get to know oneself better, and ultimately reach self acceptance; rather than to change in order to confirm to some (individual, societal, internal, external, moral, religious or political) norm.
"To be as i am before being otherwise" as Beisser stated in his work in 1970.
