The stem bent and snapped. Yeul brought the bright flower to her face, analyzing the delicate petals. It was decidedly lovely, much like the other blooms collected before it. Tucking the daisy in her left hand, it offered company to four others held by pale fingers. Bright green eyes turned downward, looking about the vast flower field before focusing closer to her feet. There were many to choose from, but she was searching for the more perfect specimens for her fellow children. Granted, few of them would like the gifts, but it was a means to satisfy herself - to feel accomplished while she waited for a man who would never find her.
YES. I’m back baby and I’m reworking my blog. I’m starting Yeul completely over for a fresh start. COME. AT. ME. BRO.
ROSE (ORANGE)
Which flower would your muse give to mine?
ROSE (ORANGE): Fascination
“I’m surprised it doesn’t have thorns. It would have fit with your personality, then.”
ZINNIA
Which flower would your muse give to mine?
ZINNIA: Memories
“We have many shared. Thank you, Caius. I’m glad you’ve been beside me.”
ahdynn:
Head tilts in a bit of curious angle upon meeting the girl. It was only then he began wondering who she was and how it was she’s come all this way far and passed the guards and everyone else unless she’s gone undetected by them. Ardyn will have given her the chance to explain herself simply because he knows how irksome it was being badgered with questions. Extending a free arm to take the flower she’s offered to him. “Are you lost?” He couldn’t help wondering.
Her arm dropped back to her side and in a rather blunt voice replied, “No.” She turned, snow blue hair drifting elegantly with the movement. She stared down at the finely cut stone of the floors. “I’ve never seen the inside of the palace for myself.” Eyes flickered back to the much taller male. “Will you be asking me to leave?”
What a coincidence to come across the bitter entity in this timeline. What did the fates have in mind? Yeul was holding Tenebrae’s darling blue flowers (three, specifically). Raising a lily white hand, she offered one, silently, to Ardyn.
“Yooo listen up. The Machine Faction will hire anybody who wants to work. I don’t care if you’re a Ronso, or a Guado, or a Hypello. Hey we’ll even take Shoopufs. Send us your tired, your poor, your hungry. Send us your Rikkus, and your Yunas, and your Dr. P’s. We’re just trying to help make Spira a better place. So get out there and dig!”
What an interesting turnout. Yeul sat away from the crowd, watching the energetic Al Bhed advertise his cause. It was a nice thought that all these different people would come together.

“Noel.” She took hold of the boy’s hand, guiding him gently over to a doorway. “Could you stand here, please?”
;;Continued from here
There wasn’t a moment she didn’t think of him. Every day, he would leave to hunt, and it seemed it took an even longer time for him to return. Would he ever not come back? He was trying, desperately, to end his suffering. A painful gift the Goddess Etro decided he was worthy of. It was the same as her, she knew, and through that they always had a mutual understanding of each other.
He was aware, wasn’t he, of how many nights she stayed awake waiting for him?
She was exhausted. It shouldn’t have been a surprise when, pressed into him on a bed of furs, tears flowed freely. A lump stuck in her throat, making it impossible to speak.
Grasp tightened and forehead found safe haven against powerful arm muscles. Shoulders shrank and shuddered and she felt so much smaller. She didn’t want his homecoming to be tearful, yet she couldn’t stop it all.
Caius...
summoners-path:
大召喚士 His head lowered and he sighed. A moment passed, long and quiet. And then, strangely, a gentle laugh left him and, as he looked back to the young woman, his head shook. He smiled and there was a strange happiness in his voice, amusement, too. She was so open and honest and he believed her without question now. He could see it in her eyes; she couldn’t have been lying. She knew him somehow. And he wanted to know her if she would allow it. It couldn’t be forced, though. And of course, they only had the moment. Soon enough he would be gone, moved on just as the rest of them.
Was she used to it? A thousand different, muted partings? How like a summoner herself.
“It doesn’t have to change.”, he noted, eyeing her. The look was almost playful. “I made my choice what feels a… very long time ago now.“
He watched her for a moment, gaze fixed to her face, nearly empty. Nearly. And then, a wave of concern, genuine kindness, moved through him. The reason he’d ask was, truly, less for him. It was about her. She reminded him of Yuna. And he didn’t want her to be alone.
“I just don’t think anyone should have to spend an evening alone.”, he continued. Then, at awkwardly charming as he could manage, “Life’s too short, you know?”
He was trying so hard, it was endearing. For a moment, she regretted turning down his offer of kinship with his guardians. Honestly, traveling with the three men would’ve been a nice way to spend the rest of her life. What little of it there was. With his statement, that notion only grew stronger.
Life was too short. Yeul knew that better than anyone.
She fell into silence, staring at him in deep thought. The wrinkles his smile made were so nice and alluring, and his eyes echoed deep his inner thoughts. Did he think of her like someone he knew? Yuna, perhaps? Ah, it wouldn’t be the first time someone held a paternal flame for her.
Eyes drooped, the green irises flickering with residual despair. Maybe it would be alright, this once, to follow what her heart longed for. Companionship. Besides, she wanted to see Braska to the very end, no matter how painful it would be. She already felt close to him. Even if she didn’t hold the gift of foresight, the emotion would be the same.
And, in that moment, she felt incredibly embarrassed. Lips thinned, mashing together as a soft pink lit up her face.
How... embarrassing...
“It would be nice, if only for a short while, to have a companion like you.”
summoners-path:
█░ HIGH SUMMONER ( 大召喚士 )
Decline? His face fell. He could not help but show his disappoint at her words. It was only in the moments that followed that her answer seemed strange. Ah, yes— how could he have forgotten? She claimed to know the future and she had more than proven she knew enough. There had to be a reason, then, she couldn’t join him, couldn’t leave. Was she to wait for someone else here, then, at this spot?
Two paths— a gentle huff left him at her words and his head lowered. He smiled.
“ Is that so? ”, he ask, a question given more on instinct than on need.
He believed her, after all. She didn’t have to explain. He gave no answer to her request. Instead, he simply followed it, picked himself up and drew closer, brushing the dust from his robes and he sat beside her with a sigh, a breath of faint relief. She felt so young. But, she was beautiful, ethereal, really. He couldn’t have explain it another way.
“ Can I tell you of them at least? ”, he asked, half-sheepish.
Maybe, he realized after the words left him, she already knew that too.
“ And then of you? ” Foolish, he knew. He shouldn’t. A breath left him at the thought.
They simply wouldn’t understand as he did; they wouldn’t feel the same.
“ I won’t… if I should not. ”
The warmth he provided beside her was nice and well received. He was such a kind person and she was glad they could spend a bit more time together. Though her face remained rather solemn, it was certainly softer than her usual mask. She stared out at the dark waters and the colored wisps that danced along its surface. It was such a calming sight and she was glad her journeying took her to such a lovely sight.
His question humored her and she made it known with a wry smile. Immediately, she wondered what those two guardians of his would think of her. A mysterious girl that seemed to come out of nowhere, providing all the answers their beloved Braska desperately wished to know.
Ah, maybe there would be some conflict on this subject. A constant denial such a girl existed, created only out of grief a troubling pilgrimage caused.
Then again...
“You can tell them. I doubt they’ll believe you.” There was always a possibility they did. The Fayth were rather mysterious - probably why she fit in with them so well. It made her wonder what other people thought of her. It never crossed her mind before.
Head tilted slightly, sights returned to her taller companion, “It won’t change anything.”

saffrondaze:
Of course, Sabrina isn’t fooled. She twirls the stem between her fingers, taking a step forward to slip the flower behind Yeul’s ear. Her fingers linger enough to brush against the girl’s cheek, as she let out out an unconvinced hum, ‘ if you say so. ’
Well, she couldn’t say she was expecting such a sensual action and touch from Sabrina. It was nice if not disarming. Despite Yeul’s usual mask of disinterest, soft pink kissed porcelain cheeks. “I do say so.”

ϟ — SAVIOR.
It took a long moment for Lightning’s eyes to shift, from the girl to the bloom. A breath left; her lips parted. Her reaction time seemed to slow in the girl’s presence. She was not, by any means, relaxed. But she, notably, did not feel threatened. Something about Yeul felt familiar. She felt safe. The girl had most certainly touched by the goddess, Etro. How long their bond had existed, though, the savior could only guess.
At last, her hand reached out, steady but slowly, and she took the bloom, eyes running over its entirety, as though the world’s secrets might have been hidden within. Abruptly, though, her attention shifted, back to Yeul. Her head nodded and she replied.
“ Waiting, huh? ”, she asked. A gentle huff of faint amusement left her. “ I guess there’s not point in stalling, then. ”
At that, she shifted, seemed to stiffen. Her eyes narrowed and her tone grew heavy.
“ I’m looking for my sister. ” There. Her request was made real. “ You know her… ? ”
There it was. It wasn’t so hard to vocalize it, now was it? Yeul’s expression hardly changed, but she was rather cynical inwardly. Lightning was an intelligent lady, though there were times she showed a naive aspect.
“Yes.” Curt and without hesitation. “Serah. I’m surprised. Why are you searching for her?”
