I want to make a video promo for Roni like I did for Deci, but damn. I just canāt find the right song nor can I get just the right voiceovers for the feel of the song. Hopefully one day I can; although, I think itāll be very hard to top Deciās video. I legit think itās one of my best videos to this day.Ā
Veronicaās favorite song at the time of season four is Weāre Not Gonna Take It by Twisted Sister. Thatād be her song if she needed to escape Vecna.Ā

Ā Ā Alex listened to the girl talk and then ramble on a bit. She couldnāt help but smile. āOh no, I got what you meant.ā She nodded. āBut the trailer park isnāt the first place Iād pick to live if I had the choice. Iād love to buy the Harringtonās house and have it all to myself. I mean have you seen that place?!ā She leaned on the counter. āHis parties where great. Sucks he doesnāt throw them anymore. I fell asleep in the upstairs tub once. Best sleep I ever had.ā She laughed. Now she was rumbling.
Ā Ā āBut yeah. Sucks about the cheerleader.ā Alex frowned. āThe cops have been there all day. They keep coming and going. My grandma is freaked out.ā She said chewing on her nails. āBut like should we really be surprised? With everything thatās happened. This isnāt the first weird thing. Stuff like his has been going on for years.ā The blonde picked up her magazine.
Ā Ā āI saw your brother here this morning. He was with that girl Max. They were being all secretive. Like they were ready to do some investigating.ā She smiled. āIf youāre looking for him I heard them say something about going to the video store.ā
ā VERONICA felt a sense of relief. Okay, so maybe she hadnāt put her foot in her mouth ā or, at the very least, not the entire thing.Ā āThaaaaat seems like a fair point,ā Roni conceded when Alex said that the trailer park isnāt the first place sheād pick to live. Roni doubted it was anyoneās first choice. She let out a small laugh and scratched at the back of her head.Ā āYeah, I crashed one once. It definitely was an experience, but totally not my crowd,ā she admitted. She hadnāt stayed long, mostly getting questioned as to why the hell she was there in the first place. Still, she had wanted to experience it at least once in her life. Of course, now Steve was... well, how did one describe Steve now? The first word that came to her mind was dork, but she wouldnāt dare say it out loud lest it bruise his ego if he heard her say it.
Ā Ā RONI shook her head, frowning just as Alex was.Ā āI donāt blame her,ā she said about Alexās grandma. She nervously chewed on the inside of her cheek.Ā āItās starting to feel very on par for Hawkins, but I... I still donāt believe what theyāre saying. I mean, Eddie? Really?ā There was no way. Sheād sooner believe that there was something supernatural behind it than Eddie.Ā
Ā Ā THE brunette groaned at the mention of her brother. That little shit, what was he up to?Ā āI wasnāt looking for him, but now I feel like I have to. With the amount of trouble that boy gets into, itās a wonder I donāt have any gray hairs.ā She spoke as if she were his mother and not some overprotective sister. It wasnāt as if her own mother knew the truth of what was going on. At least, though, he was headed to the video store. That meant Robin and Steve were there.Ā āAll I wanted was a damned blue slushy,ā she sighed.Ā
Hello new followers! Just a few things: 1) In case you didnāt know, I also have another Stranger Things OC over on @xoncomingstorm if youāre interested. ć ¤ ć ¤Hawkins. Finally the summer vacation was over and routine was returning to normal, which made Lizzie feel a cold chill in her stomach. She didnāt know how people would react to her change, the new person they would meet that day, but šššššš šššš took over her being. She walked among her classmates as if she were going to dominate the world, a feeling she had never known before, without being bothered by the way they stared at her. Surprised, most of the time.Ā
ć ¤ 㠤 ⸻ V! ⸻ She said loudly when she saw her friend going through her locker. She moved closer and smiled happily. āø»I missed you during the summer break! ⸻ She said, leaning against the locker next to her and watching the people passing by. For the first time, she wasnāt so afraid of what they might do to her.
ā SUMMER vacation was unfortunately over. That meant back to the mundane reality that was high school. God, Veronica hated high school. Not the actual school part ā no, she actually enjoyed that well enough, depending on the subject. No, what she hated the most was all the drama that seemed to ensue because of it. Plus, on top of that, shit had gotten weird in Hawkins and Roni was still trying to pick up the pieces from that.Ā
Ā Ā SHE was pulled from her thoughts when a familiar voice called out to her. She stopped digging through her locker to turn and see Elizabeth Wickham... but... different. Her eyes narrowed in on the blonde, taking in her appearance and the way she moved. What in the hell?Ā
Ā Ā āUH, yeah, I missed you too...ā she trailed off, still trying to figure out what the hell was going on.Ā āLizzie... what the hell are you wearing? Itās not Halloween yet...ā It wasnāt a dig at how she looked ā she looked great, but she always looked great. It was more so that Roni felt like she was looking at a completely different person. This wasnāt her fellow nerdy friend. Lizzie looked almost like she belonged in the popular crowd ā a crowd that Roni had often ragged on, as it seemed fair since they ragged on them too.Ā

Ā Ā Alex leaned against the counter behind the register at the gas station she worked. She looked through a magazine just waiting for her shift to come to an end. The bell above the door jingled and she looked up. āHey.ā She said with a nod.
Ā Ā āScary huh?ā She asked as a few more squad cars passed by. Probably out looking for the cheerleaders killer. āI live in the trailer park where it happened.ā Alex said looking back to the customer. āItās crazy. This town is wild.ā
ā VERONICAĀ was absolutely cravingĀ a blue slushy. It was wasnāt that it was particularly warm or anything ā it was March, after all ā but damn it had been all she thought about all morning. So, she got herself dressed and made her way over to the gas station. Sure, it was a decent walk from her house, but she didnāt care. She could have ridden her bike if she had really wanted to, but it was a nice enough morning that she didnāt mind the walk.Ā
Ā Ā āHEY,ā Roni greeted in return when she entered the gas station. She had seen the police cars drive by on the way in and now a couple of more passed. Veronica had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. When it came to Hawkins, nothing was ever what it seemed. There had to be more to this story than anyone was letting on. Especially since they all blamed Eddie. Roni knew Eddie, and knew that he couldn't have done this. There was no way. Not the guy that took her brother under his wing. She just didn't believe it.Ā
Ā Ā āSHIT, sorry,ā she told her before realizing that that could be misconstrued ā at least, in her overworking mind she thought that. She backtracked a little, rambling as was her habit to do so,Ā āI mean, not sorry that you live there or anything. That would be rude. Sorry that you have to live in close proximity to it. That has to be kind of scary.ā She had clarified, but didnāt feel any better about it. She felt she had really put her foot in her mouth; whether she had or not was up to Alex.Ā
Ā Ā VERONICAĀ nodded then. āYeah,ā she agreed, āwild.ā That was definitely one word for Hawkins. Weird. Crazy. Insane. Cursed.Ā Hellish. All of these words also came to mind. She suddenly felt empty without her trusty tire iron, which currently rested underneath her bed, where she could easily grab it if she needed to. Maybe it was time to start carrying it around again.Ā

he appreciates the help, however disgruntled he may be. most people would utter a quick apology and keep on moseying their way down the street without a second glance or a kind, parting word, but no⦠this stranger, at the very least, gives some kind of a shit. julian can keep his typically sharp tongue to himself for the time being.
thereās little to no thought over what the books and xeroxed articles all correlate to until the girl speaks again, and julian freezes for a half second before snatching up more sheets of paper and shoving them haphazardly into one of the envelopes. great. now someoneās going to start rumors of him being the new town conspiracy theorist, as if this place needs any more of that energy.
āā¦no.ā
julian offers nothing else, expression closed off and eyes squinting slightly, cynical. untrusting. and who can blame him, when all heās been fed is bullshit by anyone he asks about what really happened to his parents. a mall fire is convenient enough to most of the population in hawkins, but julian isnāt buying it. his parents would have never been at the goddamn mall, wouldāve ( ironically ) never been caught dead there ā especially not with how adamant theyād both been over the phone when theyād called its emergence in the community tacky and overhyped.
āwhy arenāt you, by the way? taking the bus outta here?ā he quietly takes the remaining articles from her and sandwiches them between two books, heaving the old tomes up under an arm when he finally stands up.Ā āthis place is fucking cursed.ā
ā VERONICA waited for more of an explanation, but received none. All he offered her was a no. Well, okay then. Guess he wasn't writing a paper then. She could only imagine what he was doing with all of these records. It could be dangerous to look into them. She had half of a mind to tell him not to, for his own safety, but that would then throw suspicion onto her. She didn't want to come off as she knew anything more than what the papers said.
Ā āWHAT?ā It took her a moment to process what he had asked and she took in a breath. āOh. Well. Family, mostly. I have a little brother and my parents don't want to leave. I'm applying to colleges soon though... but...ā She didn't want to leave her brother behind. Sometimes she just wished all of Hawkins would be condemned and everyone would have to move. It would solve all of her problems.
Ā WHEN he mentioned that the whole place was cursed, she actually laughed. Not at him, though. He was more right than she was sure he knew. There were things about Hawkins that were so unexplainable that if she tried, she was sure to land in a looney bin. āThen why are you still here?ā She threw back at him with a smile and raised eyebrows. If this place was so cursed, why was he looking more into while stlil being in the place? Why didn't he get on the first bus out of here?
arcadebluesĀ·:
manila envelopes and books hit the ground, loose sheets of copy paper scattering all over the pavement along with them, and julian thinks this must be the worst day of his life. not only has the air conditioning suddenly stopped working in his childhood home, but heās spent the majority of today in the dark basement of the local library instead of at home drinking by the pool where he belongs. if he wasnāt on a mission, heād abandon all hope now and leave the compiled information on the street to be someone elseās problem.
the girl doesnāt look familiar ā as in, thereās no way they ever went to school together, but julian is certain she belongs to some family or other whose surname heās heard before. small towns are like that and heās only been gone five years, hardly enough time for older families to skedaddle and new ones to replace them entirely. no, the majority of families in hawkins are here for the long haul, bringing up generation after generation.
gag me with a spoon, julian thinks to himself. one taste of freedom was all heād needed to realize this place is a dump in comparison to whatās really out there.
āyou training for a fucking marathon?ā he asks as he begins to gather up what he can, gaze not as cold as his words. no, heās far too tired and his eyes hurt from xeroxing an entire stack of articles centered around strange happenings after fishing for any leads from the microfiche machine in the library. sheās caught him on a day where heās too sleep deprived to give a shit and truth be told, he hasnāt done this much research in his entire life; not even when heād been a hawkins tiger.
āā¦or are you getting the fuck outta here via bus? canāt blame you for that one if thatās the case.ā
ā WHEN Veronica finally had a chance to take in her surroundings, she noticed the papers scattered all over the pavement. Fuck, she really messed up. Immediately, she was down the the person she ran into to started to gather up what he could.
Ā Ā āHA, no, no marathon. I don't think I could win even if I tried,ā Roni laughed nervously as she leaned down to help him pick up the loose papers before they blew away in the wind. She did not want to start chasing after papers. āSorry, I'm just... late for work, that's all...ā Her voice trailed out when she accidentally caught the text on the papers.
Ā Ā āI wish I was getting the bus outta here, but no...ā Her voice was far off as she looked at another piece of paper. Everything seemed to be about different strange things that had happened in Hawkins. She supposed it was interesting enough to look into for the normal person, but still. āYou, uh, writing a paper? These are some interesting reads.ā She finally said as she held out the papers she had picked up for him to take. Anyone who was anyone knew that Hawkins had something weird going on in it, but not everyone was privy to the information that Veronica Henderson had. If they knew, Hawkins would be a ghost town, she was sure of it. She was curious as to how much this stranger knew, though. Ā
Iāve been trying to think of what sort of weapon Veronica fights with. She doesnāt feel comfortable with a gun, nor does she have access to one. Iām thinking she fights with like a tire iron that she just found. At least, thatās what she uses in season two.Ā
I feel like she keeps it in her room after season two just in case. Although the world is supposed to be safe again, sheās just not sure she believes it. She has nightmares. Sheās afraid. The tire iron makes her feel like she has some semblance of control; it makes her feel safe. When sheās not prepared, she takes whatever she can use as a melee weapon, but she definitely prefers her tire iron if she has the chance to prepare and actually grab it.Ā
nailedbatĀ·:
his expression is deadpan, for the most part. thereās a small flash of something akin to embarrassment as he makes eye contact with the older henderson sibling, but he masks it in an instant.
shame? thereās plenty of it. in fact, itās fading but still very much present in the yellowing bruises across his face and the way his nose still sports a less than perfect appearance, especially on the bridge. this means no ray-bans to cover the remnants of his blackened eyes or the way he looks sleepier than usual, bat still admittedly under his bed at home⦠just in case.
ātheyāre dickheads.ā steve doesnāt think heāll ever speak to them again, not if his wounded pride has anything to say about it. there are many things he can forgive ā and he has ā but being abandoned? that sort of thing stings in a way that makes steve shut down faster than anything else.
he clutches the paper bag from melvaldās closer to his chest without explaining whatās in it; a spare can of farrah fawcett hairspray and something of his own ā a new zippo. again⦠just in case. isnāt this how makeshift flamethrowers work?
āā¦can i come in? i gotta pee.ā
ā VERONICA could see somethingĀ under his deadpan expression, but she wasn't entirely sure what it was before it disappeared. She took in his beat up appearance and knew that she looked just as much of a mess. She had bruises and cuts littering her body from head to toe. So much so that her parents had thought she had gotten into a fight with someone and had grounded her because that's not how anyone āhandles a disagreement in this household.ā If only they knew the truth. Maybe then they'd get the whole family the hell out of Hawkins. Maybe then she'd stop having nightmares.
Ā āWELL, yeah, anyone could've told you that,ā Roni said with a small scoff. Tommy and Carol were the worst. She remembered once when they tripped her as she walked by, causing her to drop her project and break it. Dickheads was one way of describing them. Steve had just always been around them. She had assumed that he was also very much a dickhead even though he had never done anything to her. Of course, she had seen a different side to Steve when fighting alongside him and the party. Still, could he have changed that much? Did people have it in them to do that?
Ā WHEN he asked to use the bathroom ā in not so many words ā Roni shifted from foot to foot. She was grounded and not supposed to have friends over. Although Steve was not necessarily a friend, if her parents came home and saw him in the house, she'd be in a lot more trouble. But she was nice and finally opened the door wide enough for him to come on in. āYeah, sure, it's down the hall and to the right,ā she told him with a gesture.
Ā AS Steve was in the bathroom, Roni leaned against the wall next to the bathroom door. She pursed her lips, feeling bad about having put her foot in her mouth earlier with implying that Steve didn't have any other friends. āHey, I'm... uh... sorry,ā she called through the bathroom door, āI didn't mean to, like, imply you didn't have friends or some shit... it's just... I don't know.ā But she did know. It was weird that Mr. Popular Steve Harrington was in her house. It was weird that he was looking for her brother, who was one of the dorkiest kids she knew. She would have been worried about his intentions had Steve not shown exceptional skill at keeping Dustin and the other kids safe.
ā RONI was running behind. This was, unfortunately, very on brand for the young woman. She thought things would definitely be better if her parents just let her get a car, but noooooooo, that was too much. She couldnāt be trusted to drive. Or some shit like that. She felt it was all bullshit it wasnāt.Ā
Ā Ā SO, instead of being able to get into a car and drive off to work, Roni was sprinting as fast as she could. It didnāt help that her bike currently had a flat tire too. Luck was just not on her side today.Ā
Ā Ā VERONICA wasnāt looking where she was going, not really. She was thinking five moves ahead ā thinking of a good excuse for her boss as to why she was late. Because of this, she didnāt notice the person practically right in front of her until she plowed straight into him. Losing her balance, she fell back onto ass, swearing under her breath. It was only after she realized what happened that she was back on her feet and profusely apologizing.Ā
Ā Ā āSHIT, I am so sorry. You good?ā She asked, rubbing at her tailbone as she spoke. Damn, that had hurt.Ā
@arcadebluesā
ā āLOOK Iām just trying to, like, make sense of all of this,ā Veronica said as her eyebrows furrowed. She was trying to make sense at seeing SteveĀ āThe Hairā Harrington at her door. The world was saved again. What the hell was he doing coming around looking for Dustin for? āDonāt, uh, take this the wrong way, Harrington, but donāt you have friends, like, your own age? What happened to Tommy and Carol?ā
Ā Ā RONIĀ would be the first to admit that she didnāt really know the inner workings of the popular crowd. She knew who they were, and knew that they looked down on her. She didnāt really care. āIn any case, Dustin is over at Mikeās. Can I help you with something?ā
