Guess who’s back, back again?
It’s been 4 years since I last updated my blog. And here I am, currently on quarantine because of the Corona virus pandemic, bringing this 10 (?) year old blog because I miss writing. I miss sharing my thoughts here kahit broken and wrong minsan ang English ko. Does any of my acquaintances still active here? I’m not sure.
So random thought #1: Sobrang thankful ako sa 12 (?) year old self ko dahil naisipan ko mag-blog before.
For the past 4 years, I wasn’t able to update this because first, I was SUPER busy with college. I was an academic scholar and I have to maintain high grades. Syempre, priority ko iyon dahil hindi naman namin afford ang mahal na tuition sa Benilde. So ayun nga, I graduated naman on time and then I landed on a creative designer job at a Korean entertainment company. There, I had so many struggles as well. My main role is to keep the social media of a boy group active by posting contents. We were understaffed pero tiniis namin lahat. Last February 15, I resigned. Well, I wouldn’t say I didn’t enjoy it because I did... so much. The only thing that kept me from staying was the management itself. We’re definitely not on the same page; we don’t have the same goal, nor the same work ethics. I really had a great time working for the boy group, too bad hanggang du’n na lang iyon. Oh well. Fast forward tayo ngayon. I am currently unemployed at may pandemic which makes it even harder to apply for a job. So in short, wala akong pinagkaka-abalahan. I am typing this as I am on the verge of losing my sanity for staying at home for too long. Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way ignoring that I am much more privileged than other people, but this is what I feel. Staying at home, having too much time at my hands, makes me think of a LOT of things. I am scared because I don’t know what my plans are for the future. I want to be successful but when everything’s a mess right now, is it okay to stop? Ano ba ‘tong iniisip ko. Ang dami kong time! I miss going out. Just going out. Walking. Taking the late night provincial bus going home. Is this the new normal? Will I be able to adjust? Will WE be able to adjust? How long is this going to happen? I miss everything.
