You, yes you with the face.(SoF Open)
completely oblivious to womanâs shock, tsuruyaâs eyes lit up at the mention of needing a knife. this lady meant business! she had just assumed they would be learning basic kicks and punches or other attacks - but a knife! she began thinking of all the cool things she could do with a knife, and got even more excited.
âa knife?! what kind of knife? a pocket knife or a dagger or a steak knife? thereâs so many options! what will we be learning to do with a knife?! are we gonna learn how to use other weapons too?â
here her face fell a little bit - what if she were required to learn to use things more complex or dangerous than knives? surely that wouldnât be allowed at a school thoughâŚshe began to relax a little.
at this point, she began to register the rest of what the woman in front of her had said. âo-oh! my nameâs tsuruya! itâs really great to meet you!â she answered, bowing.
"Take whichever knife you're comfortable with."
Suifeng said wondering just where this girl got the energy to be so... so annoying. She forced out a smile.
"We're starting off with knives, then we'll move on to other tools."
She said surprising even herself at the length she was able to keep smiling. They'll probably cover hand to hand combat afterwards, because it was more useful to learn how to defend oneself with a weapon than it was to actually teach martial arts. It was all in the stance of course.
How are you here?(Closed to Yoruichi)
Suifeng let out a small sigh as she made her way back to her room. Long day, full of stupid students and tiring sessions of socializing. Especially with that little fuck with an eye patch, she merely made a remark, and he insulted her height and the size of her breast. She spent the rest of the day with her arms crossed in front of her chest to hide their diminutive nature.
Her hand grabbed the doorknob, and twisted it, pushing the door open. As soon as the door swung open, her jaw dropped.
"Y-Yoruichi-sama?"
She asked watching the woman turn around. Sh-she was naked? Suifeng shut her eyes instantly.
"I-I'm sorry, I'll leave you there. I-I didn't mean to barge into you changing. I-I..."
She quickly turned around, and ran straight into the door frame. Ouch. Scrambling back, she crossed back out into the corridor.
Suifengâs sudden change in expression had not gone unnoticed by Aizen in the slightest. Her sudden interested demeanor indicated to him that perhaps she assumed he wasnât aware of the significance of the red string of fate. Of course he had learned soon upon arriving, fate being the only thing these students wanted to discuss for nearly a week straight. However, he hadnât accounted for her arriving to such a conclusion, but he figured it would be rather interesting to let her believe he didnât know. After all, he had had the upper hand for most of the entire conversation - might as well let her have a bit of fun herself. It would get dull soon, otherwise.
âI assumed they might have some sort of meaning, as most things usually do. Admittedly though Iâve been rather busy and unable to actually investigate it further. If I had to guess though, it probably isnât something very beneficial, as Hirako-taicho was very put off by the situation.â
Here he let out a loose chuckle, as his reaction had been pretty humorous.
âSoâŚdo you care to divulge what you seem to know?â
"Red strings. Fate. Meaning you and Hirako-taicho are bound by fate."
She replied the grin spreading. Suifeng found it amusing that she would know more than this man who had tried to take over the world.Â
"But do tell, how did he react to having you two being bound together? I'm sure he was pretty put off, now wasn't he?"
Suifeng continued letting out a small chuckle. This was fun. This was amusing, some conclusions she never believed she could draw from interacting with Aizen.
You, yes you with the face. {Sui Feng and Grimsley}
âYouâre very welcome.  Iâm happy to help a fellow teacher find their way through the surroundings.âÂ
Grimsley was starting to think that he had another acquaintance at the school. Â Although she was the only one so far, she seemed to be presenting herself in a friendly way to him. Â The master was sure that he would get along with her well in the future, no matter what class they teach. Â He gave a curt nod of his head as a sign of acknowledging her appreciation. Â He thought that even though he knew someone else who teaches, that was only just one person. Â He knew that he would eventually have to expand his horizons with the other teachers. Â But for now, all he had to focus on was helping the fellow teacher find her way through the school.
âWell if you will follow me, I can guide you to your classroom area. Â Itâs not that far from where we currently are, so if you want, you can keep that in mind as a landmark,â he said while motioning her to follow.
A landmark? The school campus? Suifeng shook her head, not much of a landmark to say the least, still, she could find her way around once she was shown the way.
"So as a teacher, what class do you teach?"
Suifeng asked, for after all, she had told him where she could be found now he should return the favor. She followed him for a few more steps.
"And generally how many students are in one class?"
Never a quiet day around here...
âIâm still growing, what can you expect? You seem to be finished growing though. Short and flat-chested⌠Tsk tsk.âÂ
Oh, this was amusing.
"Well at least I'll still have two eyes."
Suifeng replied getting ever more annoyed by him. What was wrong with children these days.
"Now what's your name, kid?"
Never a quiet day around here...
Ciel glanced towards the black-haired girl disdainfully.
âYes, there is,â he snipped, though he knew she wasnât questioning him. âAnd for a lady, there seems to be something wrong with your chest.â
"For a man, there's something wrong with your height."
She returned her eye twitching as she heard his reply.Â
"And frankly, there are many women that enjoy flat-chested girls."
Never a quiet day around here...
âHello, all.â
"There's something wrong with your eye."
Suifeng sighed cocking an eyebrow at him. He was also short, shorter than her, that made her feel better.
âBeing cautious is what makes you excel at stealth, is it not? Taking precautions is not a negative trait by any means.â
If there was one lesson Aizen had learned in his past, it was exactly that. He had been so careful, exact, and precise for over a centuryâŚbut in the span of several hours of arrogant carelessness, he had lost everything he had worked for.
âAs for the threatâŚunfortunately I honestly have very little understanding of it at the moment.â
He decided it couldnât hurt to provide her with a summary of the events thus far. If anything, maybe it would calm her nerves a bit.
âYouâll find this academy has a way of tying you down and dragging you into its mundane issues.â he started his explanation, a very obvious tone of annoyance in his voice. âI arrived in the middle of an outbreak of zombies, then soon after there was a pool party - in celebration of the defeat of the zombies, I suppose. Almost immediately afterward, students and teachers alike were switching bodies unexpectedly. Hirako-taicho arrived following that, and we found ourselves bound by a rather obnoxious red string that shortened every time either of us attempted to sever it. Hinamori-fukutaicho and I have also both encountered - on separate occasions - an exorcist who is here on behalf of her group, which is present on a similar mission.
On top of all of this, there are the students, many of who seem supernatural or highly skilled. It really is no surprise there might be something sinister hiding among the population here, as it wouldnât be difficult to do with all of the erratic and varying energy being spilled and pushed around.â
Zombies? Zombies were unnatural, and she had held a deep belief that they did not exist in Japan, especially since all the corpses were getting burned to ashes. Unless they weren't corpses in the first place. She'd have to get to it at a later point, it wasn't especially important considering that souls weren't involved. The last thing Aizen brought up though, that interested her. She wondered if he knew what a red string signified, she was almost tempted to ask her. And what was stopping her?
"Do you realize what red strings represent, Aizen?"
Suifeng asked an amused grin now spreading across her features. It would be absolutely wonderful if he didn't have a clue.
You, yes you with the face. {Sui Feng and Grimsley}
âTwo days, huh? Â She doesnât seem to show any signs of being a lost one..â Grimsley thought. Â âOr maybe she slept in throughout class time. Â Who knows?â
Although, his two guesses, or assumptions as it should have been put, were actually wrong.  Grimsley had honestly thought that it had been either, despite the second pushing it a bit too far.  In his defense, however, there were always those types of people who looked tough or strict on the outside, but soft and lenient on the inside.  Aside from his misjudging, he finally processed what she had asked him. âClassrooms?  As in where they are? Well to answer your first statement, no there was not a teacher orientation, unfortunately.  Finding everything from classrooms to our dorm assignments is all left for us to find.  A bit tedious, donât you think?â  âIf there was any place in particular you needed to find, we can start there.  Otherwise, why donât we start at the physical education department since weâre already here.  Sound like a plan?âÂ
"Thank you for your help."
Suifeng bowed her hand and gave her a small smile. He seemed to be helpful, for that Suifeng was grateful, she needed a guide. And he looked pretty trustworthy.
"Thank you for taking time out of your day to show me around the place."
She said straightening up again.
"If we could start off with the self-defense classroom, that would be good. We could then move along to the teacher's lodgings."
You, yes you with the face. {Sui Feng and Grimsley}
The woman was rather petite in figure, seeing that he towered over her by at least five to six inches. Â She seemed to be one of those strict teachers judging by her appearance. Â However, who was Grimsley to judge people so quickly? Â
âLikewise, Ms. Suifeng,â he said. Â
Grimsley thought that she wasnât one to drop her guard when she met someone new. Â It was a good thing quality to possess, but in his opinion, it wasnât a good thing when youâre trying to make a first impression. Â Although he had his doubts, as to how she reacted to his introduction, it was only just the beginning. Â âIâve only been here at this institution for about a week, more or less. Â And yourself?â
"Two days."
She murmured shaking her head in dismay. She hated to admit that she was less experienced at something, so admitting that she was new to this school was hard. She had to do it though, if she wanted to have a guide.
"If you could show me around, that would be very helpful. It seems as though I missed my orientation... If there ever was one."
She muttered looking back up at him. Looking up, it seems she'll be doing a lot of that, considering that she's shorter than just about anyone here.
"Classrooms, gyms, offices, it would help if I know where they are."
You, yes you with the face.(SoF Open)
tsuruya stared curiously at the woman. she had to have been a good half foot or so shorter than tsuruya herself, yet she taught self-defense?
well, this woman also looked very lightweight and sure of herself - and you never really could judge a person by their looks! snapping out of her thoughts, she smiled and waved.
âyes, hi! i think iâm in your class! actually, iâm not too sure, this school is so confusing and they just kind of let me sign up for classes and made me a schedule based on that!â
here, she broke out into nervous laughter.
âbutâŚbut i know iâm taking self-defense! and i think iâm in the right place!â
Suifeng took a step back, she did not expect to be approached by a girl that was so verbose.
"Well... Um hello."
She mumbled wondering why she went off on tangent, laughed, and then returned to her original question. She took a few steps to compose herself, it wouldn't do to look so shocked.
"Great. Whenever your schedule sends you to class, just remember to bring a knife."
She said slowly still wondering how she'll live through the year if all her students were like her.
"And your name?"
He smiled and looked off to the side, avoiding her glare. âSoâŚyou believe that I somehow managed to escape, re-obtain and reforge my zanpakuto, put everyone back under hypnosis save for yourself, and then create an elaborate lie involving all of that - just to move about without suspicion?â
Aizen looked back in her direction, an incredulous expression across his face.
âMy dear Suifeng-taichoâŚyou give me extremely too much credit, and not enough for yourself. Firstly, what little faith you must have in your detention unit, if you automatically assume that I managed to slip past their security and out of MukenâŚespecially unarmed. Though, I must praise you for being weary of my presence and coming to the conclusion that I might have everyone under my control. It does certainly follow a pattern of my past actions, and I suppose it is rather difficult to believe that the shinigami would collectively be so ready to have me as an ally - however loosely the term might be used in this case.â
âAdditionally, I believe you shinigami place too much emphasis on the notion of trust.â
Strong words, considering he wanted her to trust him - or at the very least, believe him. Then again, it wasnât as though he was the one who would put faith in her, or any of the others. They were the weaker ones who had flawed ideals like trust; they were the ones who so desperately clung to the things that made them feel good that they saw the world the way they wanted to, instead of how it actually was. This was why none of them had any vision or motivation, why none of them ever sought change or advances.
Pathetic.
Suifeng was about to object to his points when she realized that once again, he had the nail on the head. What he said... What he said made sense and she was probably overreacting.Â
"Right... Perhaps, I am just being too cautious."
She shook her head her frown deepening. Or he was just saying that, but Suifeng didn't see why he would even be in this academy... Just start grilling him for information.
"So what have you found so far concerning this mysterious reiatsu?"
She asked deciding to just believe in him for once, what harm could it do her?
You, yes you with the face. {Sui Feng and Grimsley}
The afternoon was quite normal for the dark-type master. Â After teaching, Grimsley decided to explore the school a bit more. Â He had only been at the academy teaching for about a weekâs time more or less. Â He enjoyed the job, but he disliked the fact that he had to conceal the fact that he gambled. Â Even though it was hard for him to do so, all of his worries and thoughts went away once he headed to a small yet popular gambling parlor in the town. Â Everything was at ease (as well as his sanity) once he started to play a few card games.Â
While walking through a pathway leading to the general area of the p.e. departments, he stopped once he had thought he had heard someone calling his name.
ââŚHuh?  Oh no, no Iâm not in Self-Defense nor am I a student,â Grimsley said.  âIâm Grimsley, the Occult Studies instructor.  Pleased to meet you.â  He then extended his arm out and offered his greeting to her.  Â
Suifeng nodded slowly and gave a slight smile towards the man. Be nice, it wouldn't do to antagonize someone this early. She slightly bowed her head.
"I'm Suifeng, pleased to make your acquaintance."
The Chinese woman said took the offered hand. She shook it and lifted her head up to look at him in the eyes.
"How long have you been in this school, Mr. Grimsley?"
She asked her tone of voice staying cool and collected, no excitement whatsoever. To her he was not a potential friend, but just a colleague.
You, yes you with the face.(SoF Open)
Suifeng walked around the school campus her eyes closed and her expression, one of distaste. Students seemed to take no notice of her, perhaps it was due to her height that most people assumed her to be merely a student. Her clipboard in hand, she looked over the list again. She hadn't found anyone yet, but had already ran into two people she would rather not see again.
"Hey are you in my class?"
She asked trying to put a face to a name. The person in front of her looked confused, did she forget anything? Oh right, the class name.
"I teach Self-Defense..."
Aizen shrugged his shoulders slightly, completely amused at her reaction.
âIf that is your decision, then very well.â
He couldnât complain, it was one less thing for him to have to do, and one less disappointment he would have to face. One day, it would be necessaryâŚbut he wasnât very enthusiastic about the prospect, nor was he wanting to speed up the inevitable.
If she could trust him without it, the better.
Besides, mostly he had just wanted to invoke a reaction from her. Messing with the shinigami had become his favorite pastime while at this academy, considering how quick they were to respond to any of his actions.
âThough I would like to point out that in this situation, I have no reason to lie. Anything I say could be checked against the word of more trustworthy shinigami who are present. Consequently, there really is no reasonâŚ
for concern.â
He was having way too much fun with this.
Suifeng felt a chill run down her spine. It seems Aizen had not lost any of his intimidation, and consequently, she was getting afraid... Something she hadn't felt in quite some time. Still she had to speak to him, this must be clarified.
"Still there's the chance of them all being under the illusion of your release..."
Suifeng murmured to herself contemplating possibilities... It was just so hard to deal with this person, her head ached at the thought of untangling this conundrum. She let out a groan.
"Your powers make placing trust in you, so much harder."
She shot him a cold glare.
01. || school [intro]
There was a rather unusual sight on the school grounds: a tall red-haired female, donned in school uniform, casually strolling across the field with a few bags in her possession. What was so strange about this was that the girl typically carried more luggage than necessary. She definitely would have brought along her usual load to the school had she not been stopped at the gates. Normally, she would have somehow managed to force her way. But this was differentâ
It was her first time at a school. Ever. And there was no way she was going to let anyone ruin the experience for her. As a matter of fact, she had even acquired a pair of glasses â not that she needed them; her vision was completely fine â to complete her âperfect studentâ persona. Her classes were chosen with care, and much consideration. Were anyone to even attempt ruining her once chance at attending a school for the first time â well, simply put, they would more or less learn why she was known as the Fairy Queen.
Lost in her thoughts at the possibilities and chances she would have to live a student life, Erzaâs attention was averted from another student rushing somewhere. Knocked over by the impact of them hurrying along, her glasses slipped from her fingertips, landing on the soft grass. She was ready to stand up and brush herself off, picking the item she had dropped as well. Prepared to default to forgiveness as the matter was a trivial accident, she turned to face the student.
Hopefully, they wouldnât change her mind about forgiving them.
"Sorry."
Suifeng mumbled turning around to face the redhead she had bumped into.
"..."
She was taller than her... A lot taller, that didn't make Suifeng all that happy really, she was kind of annoyed at people's heights really, especially people with a significant advantage over her.
"Are you a student here?"
She asked slowly her hand clutching at a clipboard. And was that the school's uniform? It was ugly as fuck.
"Are you taking Self-Defense by any chance?"
Might as well figure out who your students are if Suifeng had any... She looked at her, her eyes held no excitement to the idea of actually having a pupil, either she hid her emotions really well, or she really wasn't all that excited over being a teacher. The answer was probably the latter.
