Wang Yibo’s acting in this scene, The Untamed, episode 33, is a real punch to the gut. Looking at his Lan Zhan here, you truly grasp that Lan Zhan just had to watch the one person who meant everything to him kill himself. His horror, his absolute devastation. Nothing anyone could say or do to Lan Zhan afterwards - his uncle or the other cultivators - nothing could beat this pain. And he carried it with him for 16 long years, never letting it soften, remaining faithful and true to Wei Ying even when everybody else abandoned him. Just thinking of it makes my throat thicken and my chest hurt.
