He looked down at her and he was taking her in her and her beauty. It was the time he looked most forward to honestly. Sure it was pathetic, but when he had all the money in the world, there was no time for being sad. No, he spent his money wisely as well as his time. When she pulled away from him, he just stood there, watching her. Saul was no longer thinking about work, he was thinking about Suong.
“I’m just going to put the massaging table away then, don’t think we need it now.” Saul was over the fantasy and besides, he really didn’t want a massage from her. She already had to sleep with him and that was just adding insult to injury. Instead, he waited for her to pour them their drinks and smiled when she knew where he kept the expensive stuff.
He grabbed his glass and took a sip of it, enjoying the taste as it trickled down his throat. Saul was just about to go for a second sip when Suong asked if she could be his assistant. Hand on his waist, he glanced at her, “Are you serious?” Saul asked, trying not to sound rude, because he was seriously asking if she wanted to do it. “What about your job, about the boss man?” Saul shook his head, regretting those words coming out of his mouth, “What I’m saying is…” He sighed and offered her a smile, “When can you start?”
Suong's eyes widened when he more or less seemed to agree on taking her on as a personal assistant and it was her turn to repeat his question, "are you serious?"
She wondered if her boss would be a problem, it wasn't like she was the biggest earner, the hardest worker, or the most reliable employee, however Tommy certainly wasn't on the verge of firing her. He'd seemed to take some sort of liking to her, but Suong hadn't signed any sort of binding contract either. The only real problem she could think of was the fact that she was most likely going to have to move out of his place, since she was really only living there while she worked for him -- and fucked him once in a while. Moving out would be fine though, as long as Tommy didn't raise up a fuss about any of this. She could live in her car until she found an actual place -- that was good enough for her.
But Tommy was the last of her concerns, and she figured she might as well be very up front. "You are nice, and I can deal with Tommy, but... not to upsell-- I am very disorganized, I speak very better Vietnamese than English, and I do not technically have legal papers saying I can work here. Or that I live here at all." Suong was sure there were probably way more qualified individuals who would die to work in a job like this. Right?
She did enjoy spending time with Saul though, even if she realized him being her boss would be much different than the relationship they had already. "But I would like to work for you. It could be fun! If you would still have me."
{ bar fight - open
He sat at the back of the bar, in one of the booths that were obviously off limits to anyone but him. He was there for a meeting and most importantly, he’s monthly protection payment. It was a side business, a little extra money for his kids, whenever he had them. Maybe it was time to find a wife, but at the moment, he enjoyed having his freedom and then some. Diego pushed these thoughts aside as he had his second in command count the money. When he had received it, it had felt light – this wasn’t good.
Diego kept a calm face, he offered a smile here and there as Dolores counted, then she stopped, turned to whisper something in his ear and leaned back in his chair. Dolores gave a simple nod and two guys came and dragged the man out of the booth and started to beat him up.
“Such a shame, we protect them from the Irish and this is what they pay us with? Basura?” He shook his head, drinking his watered down drink and set it aside. “I’m going out for a smoke, let me know when they are through and they have my money.” Dolores, his second command and personal bodyguard nodded and scooted over for him letting Diego out of the booth.
He stopped by the bar and ordered another drink and looked at the young girl sitting at the bar, “Enjoying the fight?” Diego asked, smirking a bit. Diego didn’t even bother to look at the fight, all he wanted to know was the end result and where the rest of his money was.
Suong stirred her ice through her drink with a cocktail stirrer, absently as the two men a few feet from her had it out on the floor. She hadn't even noticed the man walking up to the bar until he spoke, and her dark eyes flickered towards him raising her eyebrows almost incredulously, before replacing her expression with a more pleasant one and laughed.
"Not really," she said, looking faintly amused at the question. "I have not been a fan of violence. Especially when it is happening like," Suong attempted to judge the distance, "three meters away."
Fighting made her anxious, actually. Whether it was her fighting with someone (which was a rare thing), or people fighting around her -- verbally, or physically (though honestly verbal fighting was much worse to her) it set her on edge. Mark her down as a lover, not a fighter... Or something to that extent. Besides a stray punch could easily find it's way into her space. That was the last thing she needed-- the apperance that she may have gotten decked by a client. Or her boss. No way, she was not treading that water.
Even if she possibly wasn't going to be working there for much longer.
Yet all her face showed was a simple amused annoyance. Suong flipped her newly colored hair, that was now quite a few shades darker and more natural than it had been (she was attempting to look professional), over her shoulder and looked up at the man.
"Do things like this happen here often?"
{ bar fight - open
"I need to see some ID."
Kim Nu Suong looked up at the bartender with a surprised expression, and blinked a few times. "I'm twenty-three." Just her luck she'd probably walked into the only bar in this damn city that actually cared about legal things. The man behind the counter didn't look like he was convinced of her age, and she let out a huff, "Trời ơi, bạn phải đùa," she muttered under her breath pulling her ID out of her bag.
Well, it was a fake ID. But it wasn't fake because she was underage. All the information was true, it was just... not a legal ID. Still, the man seemed satisfied and placed the glass of scotch in front of her. It wasn't the best scotch but... Well, beggars couldn't be choosers. It was that or beer, and Suong hated beer. She wasn't a eighteen year old college girl, ok?
Sure, she easily could have gone to a bar that was more... to her taste, but what was life without getting out of your comfort zone. That thought was fitting too, as it came when a man at the other end of the bar punched another man in the face, and Suong had a front row seat to a bar fight.
Neat.
SHIP AESTHETICS [ kim nu suong & tommy nugyen ]
Suong met Thomas Nguyen a couple months after moving to Albuquerque, and the two hit it off pretty quickly. His family is well known for owning a lot of the Vietnamese run businesses around the city, and lesser known for allowing people to use those businesses to launder money and sell drugs. Within a few days Tommy offered Suong a job at his massage parlor, and a place to live which she agreed to seeing as she had neither of those things. He's not violent, and he's not exactly mean to his girls, but he is an asshole who puts his profits before the people who are actually doing all the work. While their relationship has been physical since they pretty much met Suong doesn't really see Tommy as anything but an employer, and their relationship as nothing but business transactions.

He shook is head, hands on his waist as he chuckled, “No, not lawyers, an assistant is what I need.” Saul muttered, trying his damn hardest not to think about why he didn’t have much associates, well it didn’t matter. He was doing just fine. Sure it had been a little hectic once his previous assistant left to go back to whatever it was she was doing and left him in the dirt.
Saul gauged her reaction, knowing it was an odd request and maybe he wasn’t feeling right. Who could pass up the paid opportunity to get massaged by a beautiful woman? Once he grabbed his tie and pulled him slightly toward her, he caved in. This was his only weakness, a beautiful woman playing along to whatever fantasy it was.
“Kim…” He muttered, his eyes showed some pain, but he quickly masked it with a chuckle and a forced smile. His hands were now on Kim’s waist, feeling rather brave to be doing such a thing. Saul had a good repuation ( well he hoped he did ) when it came to hookers, he treated them like hourly queens and dinner if they asked. Sure, it was pathetic, but it was well worth it.
“When you put it that way… I can’t resist.” He tested the waters a bit, pulling her a little closer to him now as his hand traveled down to her roundness, softly squeezing as he looked at her with gentle eyes. Jimmy Saul held her there for as long as he could, admiring both her beauty and body.
Her eyes fluttered up towards Saul's face when he pulled her closer, giving him an affectionate look as she rested her chin on his chest and let her fingers toy with the buttons of his shirt.
It wasn't really Suong's place, and she wasn't one to bite the hand that fed her, but she always wondered why he even bothered with call girls. He certainly didn't have to pay for sex if he didn't want to. She knew for a fact that there had to be at least a good number of women who would, and who were sleeping with him. Suong used to think it was a power play, a need to be in charge -- but she knew men like that. Maybe it was just easier, more honest... Maybe he really was that lonely. She tried not to think about things like that though, it sort of killed the mood.
"I think we need a drink," Suong said slinking out of Saul's grasp, and to his desk, getting into the drawr where she knew he kept the liquor. He needed a drink, clearly. He needed to loosen up a little bit, and she was sure the scotch she handed him would help a little. She personally needed a drink because she knew what she was about to say was going to be completely inappropriate and while she trusted Saul not to go to her boss it could still ruin her career.
If she really wanted to call what she did a "career".
Suong hadn't moved to America to have sex for money. She'd moved here because it was supposed to be a great opportunity. So, when it presented itself to her she was going to take it.
She moved around and took a seat on the edge of Saul's desk, taking a long drink from her glass, "I could be your assistant," Suong said into her glass and felt her cheeks heat up from embarrassment. It sounded a lot stupider now that she had put it out there, and it wasn't like she got embarrassed easily. Maybe she should have waited until they'd had sex. Talk about "ruining the mood". She didn't take it back though, but she did have a little more trouble meeting his eyes now that she'd spoken.

He could practically feel the stress falling off the moment he laid eyes on her beautiful face, it didn’t take much to please the ol’ lawyer and she did a good job of doing it by presence alone. This is why he kept calling, requesting her, she knew just how to make him melt without even trying, He cleared his throat, still messing with his tie some as he walked her into his office, again holding the door open for her to pass through.
“Now Kim, you know you can call me Saul.” Hands closed for a second before opening them in the direction of her bag, “May I?” He asked, taking it from her and placed it on the hook next to his door. That is where he kept his extra suit jackets, just in case a drunk stumbled in and left more than a crappy payment. Two of the three hooks were open, having dropped off the other jackets a week or two ago. He cursed as he remembered that he needed to pick them up, man he really needed an assistant.
He shook his head, tired eyes trying their best to match his smile, but it didn’t get quite there. Saul Goodman was tired, but he tuckered on, happy with the way things now were. His face practically lit up at the mention of his commercial, lips pursed into a lopsided smile as he played the commercial in his mind. It was one of the best ones he’d done in a while, the guys he hired at done an excellent job at editing it and of course they did with the amount of money he paid them to put it together. “Thank you, got about ten more clients with that commercial, hoping for more. It’s hard to keep up, I really need help around here.”
Saul pointed at the massaging table, thinking carefully about what he was about to say. “Now this is what I was thinking and please slap me if you’d like, but I’d like to turn the tables and massage you…” He trailed off, swallowing nervously at is request, “I’ll pay extra.”
"Oh?" Suong asked when he mentioned needing help, "are you thinking of hiring other lawyers? So 'Goodman and Associates' will have some associates?" She didn't know why he had to handle everything alone, he'd work himself into an early grave that way. Not that Suong knew much about what lawyers actually did, or how the law was handled in the states (granted, not many people from here knew how it was handled either), but she could imagine the stress.
That was why she was here though. To help remedy that.
But then he suggested she be the one to get the massage this time, and fell silent for a moment. She wasn't against the idea, it was just surprising. She looked clearly taken aback, tilting her head to the side like a curious little puppy. Of course she'd likely do almost anything he wanted to (almost), but he looked a tad bit too hesitant at the moment for her, so Suong took a few steps towards Saul tugging him closer to her by his brightly colored tie, as she reached up smoothing her hand over the colar of his shirt absently. "Not that I am against the idea, but are you sure? It seems like you might need it more than me. I wouldn't want you to be disappointed with our time tonight."
Which was true. She didn't really think she had much of a stressful life, despite the fact her boss was a jerk and some guys were assholes, Kim Nu Suong knew it could be a lot worse and considered herself lucky. He seemed on the run down side today, probably why he called.
"But I certainly won’t say no.” Most guys were a little more worried about how quickly they could get in and get their rocks off. She couldn’t be blamed for being surprised. Saul Goodman was a strange one. “You are the boss here, Mr. Goodman," Suong said with a specific emphasis.

The last of his clients trickled out the door, it had been a long, yet successful day. He had helped out some people and even guided some to the nearest mental hospital with the crazy shit they had been proposing. All in all, in was a good day for the law offices of Saul Goodman.
He had worked so hard that he had deserved a nice, long message and he called the number and requested his favorite girl, Kim. Saul had always loved a girl with that name and for reasons he didn’t want to think about now. No, he focused on Kim and got out his own massaging table, the one he kept for multiple reasons, it was all about the fantasy and Saul loved to fantasize.
His phone rang and it was after hours so he ignored it, removing his tie as he waited for his appointment to arrive. For now, she sat in his chair, lifted his feet up onto his desk and read over some files, nothing really sticking as he was dead tired from the day’s events.
There was a knock at the door and he went to answer it, his shoes were off and shirt loosened, “Just on time, come on in.” He smiled, holding the door open for her and locking it once she was inside.
Her boss didn't tend to like his girls making "house calls" as he called them, and only made an exception for VIP clients. Loyal ones, who didn't skimp on the bill, it also probably didn't hurt that Saul Goodman happened to be her bosses lawyer as well. Not that Kim Nu Suong was complaining, she liked Saul. She found him funny, plus he tipped a lot better then some other guys did-- something her boss didn't seem to take into account when he was deciding if a client "skimped on the bill" or not.
Besides, he knew a few things in Vietnamese which was much better than having a client who made fun of her accent she hadn't been able to fully get rid of in the six years of living in the states, or assumed she was stupid because she wasn't completely fluent in English.
Some men could be real assholes, and it was something she was expected to just accept or not get paid.
In fact this was mostly the reason she had gotten into it with her boss, but despite that Suong was in high spirits as she walked across the parking lot to Saul's office with a large white leather bag that matched neatly with her track suit hitched over her shoulder. It wasn't often she got to spend time with someone who's company she actually enjoyed, so she'd savor it when she could. Suong walked into the waiting room, locking the front door behind her, and smiled widely when Saul greeted her at his office door.
"Hello, Mr. Goodman," She said brightly and headed into his office glancing at the massage table he had set up. Suong still couldn't believe he kept one of those in his office, it seemed silly to her, but if the other option was her lugging a giant table that was about the same size as her around she'd take him keeping one here any day.
Kim Nu Suong moved to set her bag down on the couch, before turning back to Saul looking up at him, "I hope you have not had too much of a rough day today, though I'm sure this whole saving people from jail, and getting them their just dues can be so stressful," she said in a lightly teasing tone, before perking up a little. "Oh! I saw your new commercial last night. I wanted to tell you it was very good. The best one yet." She wasn’t even lying (that much), sure his commercials were corny, but you couldn’t imagine the ads they had back where she was from. His were much better.
