Sadly Storyscape will be shut down by Disney on 3rd February. A game that has only been up for few months worldwide and already has received 1,7 million + downloads. A game where choices matter, has amazing art and stories, lbtq+ friendly, diversity and more!

Storyscape: Desperate Housewives

Could you guys imagine how cool it would be if they added a Desperate Housewives inspiring story to the app.

1. Our husband could die

2. We could have an affair behind our husbands back

3. Make or break bonds

4. Cover up murders in our neighborhood with our friends

The possibilities and drama could be endless...

This is actually a great idea! It has drama, murder, loss, bonding and ya can hoe around (&more). 4+ in 1! Hell yeah, I wanna see this happen! :))

I’ve been thinking about this a lot and

I think what is so incredible about storyscape to me is the natural inclusion of POC and LGBT stories and characters.

Their narratives, experiences, and struggles are not paywalled or afterthoughts. They are front and center in these stories. There are moments of discomfort and fear, but there are also moments of connection and celebration.

More importantly, POC and LGBT characters are normalized. They are presented in all their complex and unique glory. They are not paywalled or watered down to be palatable. Their narratives are interwoven throughout the story, and critical moments and information are not hidden. This is the biggest difference between other “choose your story” apps and Storyscape. Storyscape leads with attentiveness, nuance, and sensitivity to their characters.

I continue to be astounded at the quality, attention to detail, and creativity of Storyscape. So much love and appreciation to the whole team. I can’t wait to see what they do next.

the r/storyscape mods on reddit get overzealous (Disney did not force anyone to delete comments about a survey concerning future games, the subreddit mods got paranoid and did that of their own volition) suddenly you guys wanna go ‘well at least pb doesn’t-’.
