hey do you think target will notice that i do self check out but don't scan half of the items it's not usually extremely obvious just wondering what to look out for
definitely depends on location for this one. A lot of targets have an employee standing by the self checkout registers making sure that everything is going smoothly. If youāre planning on lifting smaller items you could always try the cereal box method.
`My stepdad manages a Walmart and at Christmas dinner tonight he got to talking about policies at work, which led to talk about shoplifting. Ā
Here are the highlights:
- Unless youāre very blatant and obvious about your lifting (e.g. concealing right in front of an SA) they wonāt do anything about it. Ā Apparently itās not worth the time/resources/etc. when they can just file it as a loss and have insurance cover it.
- They cannot accuse you of shoplifting. Ā As soon as they do it becomes a big situation and since the repercussions of false busts can be so big itās not worth it.
- The worst they can do if they suspect you is follow you around and CS you to death. Ā They cannot ask for items back or imply youāve shoplifted in any way.
- Theyāre not supposed to stop you if you beep. Ā If for some reason they do they are still not allowed to accuse you of lifting, they have to take responsibility (āOh we must have forgotten to deactivate a tag or somethingā).
- They cannot apprehend you at all. Ā No tackling, no following to your car, nothing.
- They have cut way the fuck back on LP and donāt even have them in most stores anymore, certainly not plainclothes LP. Ā
- The greeters at the door double as security. Ā Theyāre supposed to check receipts and handle returns and stuff but again, they canāt actually accuse you of lifting.
This is all allegedly straight from Walmart corporate and applies to the whole company but who knows, YMMV so please be cautious either way. Ā
there is a lot of problems with this post and all it takes is a simple google search or some sifting through the community to find that.Ā
there are many many many videos on youtube of how not just LP of walmart handle approaching shoplifters. yes, they can accuse, yes they ask for proof, yes they will try and search your bags. they also will follow you to your car... you are on their property all the way until you exit their parking lot. they do take plates and have walkie talkies to talk to the people who take the carts in.
also, return fraud is another story. they take you ID and only let you return without a receipt 3 times a year. if you lift on a semi regular basis they will notice and eventually will put two-and-two together.Ā
this all sounds scary, but every walmart is different. if something sounds too good to be true when it comes to lifting, it usually is. do your research and dont take only one personās post is true!
the #1 place iād say people in this community get caught is at walmart... there are many many stories floating around.Ā
me and my two friends went to VS and my one friend said she stole there all the time so we all got a bunch of underwear and when we went to leave it started beeping. why did it go off? should we have taken the tags off? did we have too much?
sometimes they tag the more expensive panties... it always is better to check no matter what. the flashlight trick works most fool-proof at vs i think :)

so in clothing tags that you are unsure if they have rftdās in them or not... take the flashlight on your phone and hold it directly up to the tag. if it does have a rftd imbedded in it youāll see it. sometimes the tags are too thick though, but those thick ones usually have rftds in them anyways.Ā
It is actually possible to lift a puppy.
This is gonna sound insane. My aunt pulled this off at petco once during one of their big adoption events. I canāt believe I forgot to tell you guys this story. Holy crap.
There was a kennel crate filled with like 5 different newfoundland puppies and the store was PACKED with people. My aunt fell in love with one of the newfies that the SA let her take out.
The SA was alone too. Her coworker decided to be a dick and go on her lunch during the busiest fucking hour.
Anyway. My aunt knew this poor guys were probably from a puppy mill or some shit. Or just breedjects (rejected stock from breeders) . So I shit you not. She just picked up the newfie and walked out with him when the SA was distracted. She grabbed one of the fliers off of a near table to make it look like she was holding adoption papers so other customers wouldnāt be suspicious.
No one thought anything of it. Just a chick with a dog at petco.
She fucking stole a collar and toys for him too.
Fucking most extreme shit Iāve ever heard.
This happened about 1.5 years ago and my aunt never went back to that petco ever again. But she still has the dog.

they have those waist trainer things at macys in the bra and panties section and def recommend yall go lift one because concealing with the waist trainer is amazing!! especially if your purse cant hold much clothes. and if they check your bag they cant do anything bc itās on your person
honestly if youāre lifting at a mall and have a car you should be going back to it as often as possible to put lifted stuff in it.
like if you leave one store and they call security and you plan to stay at the mall, the two seconds it took to run outside and back in could save you a lot of trouble, especially if youāve hit a lot of stores and not just the one.
i do this every time šš¼ sometimes ill just take one or two expensive items and go put them straight in the car, not worth getting caught in another store with these items on you!
move around the car too! donāt just stay at one entrance, some places have cameras in the parking lot and if you leave and park at a different entrance it may look like you drove away
How do you lift so many bras and panties from VS without them questioning you?
I used the shopper tote methodā¦ So i walked in, grabbed a bag, first went over to the shirts i wasnāt going to lift and put them in firstā¦ I hooked the hangers on the side of the bag so they could see how many i have and then i also put a few bras that i wasnāt going to lift on there too. then i browsed around some more, threw the stuff i did want into the bottom of the bag and then went to the dressing rooms. i gave them the number of the shirts and the bras i wasnāt lifting and then concealed in there! i then put the tote back on the rack with all the stuff i didnāt want to take with me in there and walked out. Ā
Whenever an SA mentions how much stuff I got in the tote, I say my birthdayās coming up and Iām trying on stuff so I can see what fits/what I like so I can tell my mom (or bf or whoever).
lately when iāve been lifting iāve lost the excitement and thrill of doing it... i get really anxious for days after followed a little bit with depression. it was never like this in the beginning... am i the only one?
How would I go about lifting bras and panties from Victoria secret? What's your concealment trick?
i always always always conceal in the dressing rooms. I get a shopper bag and fill it with a few clothing items and then put the bras and panties that i want in the bottom of the tote. Then I give a fake number/name in the dressing rooms, conceal in there, and take one shirt and two panties out with me and put them on hold becauseĀ āiām not 100% sure if i want these yetā then leave the store
so i paid a visit to dillards and while i was there i got some great tips to use from the SA who was very talkative and running the spanx/lingerie counter.
they have the cameras running one after another on one screen EXCEPT they have the spanx, calvin klein, Ā michael kors, and main jewelry cameras on screen all of the time.
departments without an active SA will have locked fitting rooms but ones with a SA in them will be unlocked. best to go in when they are busy helping someone else or are distracted. the SAs also arenāt supposed to let the merchandise selected from that section out of the specific section without you purchasing it first.Ā
they automatically watch any group of 2 or more teenager-looking people together.
they definatly profile and watch your activity based on appearance, best to dress like you have money to spend.
they notice a lot of sloppy behavior but let it slide, they hang photos and will try and notice when you come back in and what you take. they will keep building your bill higher and higher until they have you up to a felony charge. depending on your state can be anywhere fromĀ $500-$1000. Ā
they do have store security.Ā
moral of the story babes it to always be safe and gather as much info as you can about any store youāre going into. iāve always assumed dillardās to be pretty easy but got pretty freaked out after having this SA tell me all of this stuff.

not planning on posting photo of this little haul.. but that day i scored a gianni bini tight midi dress [$49] and a pair of spanx [$72]
first i shopped around for an outfit. i picked up two sizes in every item i considered, and then took them to the dressing room. i decided on taking the dress i got, after trying on some of the clothes in the fitting room. i removed the tags and stuck them into my purse pocket for now, and then grabbed the other identical dress but in different size and another outfit as a decoy.Ā
then i went up the escalator to the shapewear section where i first met the sa! she greeted me but didnāt come from behind her register. iām new to spanx so to make conversation from afar (since she was working on something at the desk) and asked her some general questions. i selected two decoy pairs and the one i was actually going to take, along with come calvin underwear sets that i wanted but ultimately ended up not taking with me (KNOW YOUR LIMITS). the spanx i was taking were on a small hanger i could fit into my purse so i stuck them both in there after took the tags off and stuck them with the other tags fro the dress on my purse.Ā
after i was done in the fitting room i showed her my decoy dress and asked her opinion on if i should get nude or black (decoy) spanx. i like talking to SAs, even though i feel guiltier after i leave, because giving people a positive impression of yourself might help your case later just in case the worst happens. anyways, that turned into just a friendly conversation about how she thinks nude is better but old ladies never listen to her blah blah blah. she asked about the calvins i was holding onto originally and I said that i left them in the fitting room and that i didnāt want them since the pair of spanx were expensive. so she said ok and asked me to stay where i was and then she went and got them (which... at this point im just thankful i DIDNT take them or else iād be in some trouble). she than began to tell me how her section is the most robbed section in the store, and they can barely keep the calvins in stock because of shoplifting. she then got into details that i listed above and basically got into a tangent about how she catches at least one person a day trying to shove calvins or spanx in their bags and they do it right on the floor in front of her. i asked her dumb questions that i already knew the answers to likeĀ āomg what about the camerasā or just comments likeĀ āi cant believe people would do that!ā and she seemed to really feed off of that and gave me so much information. i then asked her what time it was to try and get away from her since she wouldnāt stop talking and then pulled theĀ āoh no i was supposed to meet my mom at *the local restaurant thats in our mall* 10 min ago! i gtg so sorry!ā and she was likeĀ āoh its ok!ā i started to turn and walk away then and she saidĀ āiām not really supposed to let spanx leave the area because of theft but i trust you! have fun at dinner!ā then i hauled ass downstairs put my decoy items on hold at a random register near the exit saying iāll be back for them after i met someone for dinner, gave them a fake name then asked if they had restrooms so i can freshen up, went there, disposed of the tags in wrapped up toilet paper into the trash then got out of the mall pretty quickly.Ā
