i apologize for the replies i owe in all my characters but i’m fast approaching shark week and my headspace is not the best during it

It had been a tough few days - more like a tough week - ever since the earthquake. Or probably even way before that, what with the current tangle his mind and his emotions seemed to be stuck in, putting him in a more unpleasant mood than he’d ever remembered being. And, then, well, right when he’d been caught up in his most introspective state of mind, someone had needed his presence. Someone completely random, a perfect stranger, but it had seemed to have set his mind straight. Ducks in a row.

After leaving about half a dozen helium-filled balloons on Caroline’s room - each one brighter than the other - he double-checked his phone for the directions he’d requested via text. There was at least one more person he definitely had to see with his own eyes before he could fully relax. The light was on in her room, which could’ve just as well been a hospital thing rather than a her-being-awake thing, but he took his chances and knocked softly on the door before pushing his way in, eyes zeroing in on Aster.

“Hey,” he let out, voice cracking slightly.

@fiorentinoflare is just mad awesome, what is there not to like about him? But I’m gonna go with his hair.

@nikclvi is a whole lot of fun, just absolutely smashing.

@penelvpc is just such a beautiful person. I think it’s unfair to have me choosing one thing.

@lydia-matthews brings a lot of spirit to our set.

@nathns is a great kid, he’s super professional and talented.

what has your favorite acting job been?

Oh, every single role I’ve had has been just phenomenally fantastic.

Probably my first gig, though? I was a kid with chubby cheeks and I was just this huge actor’s kid, and they were all really nice to me on set.

CAROLINE squeezed logan’s hand as the firemen lifted the exercise machine off of her, letting out a yelp of pain as the pressure lifted. a few tears leaked out and she buried her head in logan’s shoulder; even with a broken leg, she couldn’t bear to let everyone see how much pain she was in. the paramedics followed and carefully lifted her onto a stretcher, and as caroline’s hand slipped out of logan’s she pawed at the air for it again. ❝ don’t leave me, ❞ she whimpered, a strange request for someone she’d never met before the earthquake trapped them together. ❝ please. ❞

The aftershocks had probably been the worst thing he’d ever lived through so far. Even now, what with them having ended and whatnot, he had to fight the slight urge to hide his face, yet try and protect the girl right next to him. The one pinned down, unable to move, who’s name he hadn’t even known until then. But there they were, and he’d adamantly refused to leave her side, because he’d promised her he would be there all along until they could both make their way out of there together. A momentary shot of panic raced through him as his hand grasped empty air before he got to his feet with a small grunt, immediately reaching towards her again. “Hey, hey, I’m here. I said I would be,” he murmured, his tone soft yet friendly as he managed a small smile at her. And, though he wasn’t really aware whether she had a significant other or close relative nearby, his mind had been made up that he’d be with there right up on that ambulance. Once they were safely outside again, that was.

Logan stiffened as the small redhead leaned up against him, her mouth touching his in something that didn’t feel exactly right for a number of reasons. His first reaction was almost to push her away, even taking into account how small she looked, but she was out of his personal bubble by the time he debated doing just that. “Um.” Head tilting just so he could glance at her follower, he nodded a few times before looking back at her, a small smile on his lips as he moved a hand to push some of her hair back. “Yeah. Improvisation, right? Does that guy work in here? How long has he been tailing you?”
