Crazy how bad summer 2024 really was and what a dark place I was in. I've been in some dark places emotionally/mentally before but that was really fucking dark. I had dealt with sui ideation for years but I was looking into different methods and genuinely starting to plan something. When I would go for walks٫ I'd get intrusive thoughts to jump in front of the train on the tracks near where I lived. The alcoholism. I drank one night٫ got literally no sleep٫ could barely walk a straight line but had to work in the morning and nobody could tell I was hungover. Nobody said anything. I'd mix alcohol with energy drinks a lot٫ too. I had no one that genuinely cared. But I decided to wait 1 year in hopes things would get better٫ and they did. I still struggle but not nearly as badly as that summer.
