when writing, arabic (12) or latin (twelve)?

just depends what you’re writing

if you’re writing a story/narrative/fictional shit (this especially applies to dialogue) you put numbers in WORDS. she did not have 3 bags with her, she had THREE bags with her

some people claim this ONLY applies to dialogue, but i also just use words for numbers in prose as well

ofc if you’re writing nonfictional things in which the number is the focus, like anything in maths or science or statistics or business or economics or any of that

use the fancy arabic numerals. bc who the fuck wants to know that forty-thousand dumbass americans die to toilets every year instead of just 40000 dumbass americans
