"Schatz..." Klavier sighed, exhausted from lying and sitting around. Not to mention Apollo was just a little bit overbearing. Just a little. "I'm fine. You've seen me stand and walk just fine." With that, he tried to get up again.

“I’m not against keeping my poor body safe. However, who will take care of my soul? If I wake up in a middle of the night and I want to cuddle you, I won’t be able to.”

“You know where I am, my love, my room.... is right here....” He leaned against Klavier just loving on him tiredly. “I’m just stressed, I’m sorry.... sorry if I’m making this weird or harder than it needs to be.”

“I know, Schatz.” Klavier started combing through Apollo’s hair. “It’s okay, though. I don’t feel bad, or weird, or uncomfortable. I might be a little tired, confused and sleepy, but it has nothing to do with you. I just had a big day.” He pressed his lips to Apollo’s temple. “Can I rest by your side for now?”

Apollo nodded, closing his eyes before the tears could fall. “Yeah.” God, this all happened in one day, if felt like more. “I’m here for you.” He swallowed, holding onto him, onto the love of his life.

Juniper took a moment to look up, though she almost reached up to remove her hat which wasn’t actually there as usual. She’d elected not to wear it today…probably because she knew she was going to want to be affectionate with Apollo while they were out. Instead, much how she would keep her hair at the academy, she had let her hair fall down long behind her back and had a sunflower in her hair instead.

“Ahh, I see why. It’s so easy to see the clear sky from up here…a nice spot between the trees and no smoke or anything else covering the view of it. It must be a great view of the stars.” She did notice the slight change in his voice when he reflected on Clay. She knew what had happened to him was difficult on Apollo. She only hoped her presence could ease that somewhat, though she knew that emotional scar would always stay with him somewhere.

Her cheeks flushed a deep red as Juniper became fully aware of the fact that Apollo was simply just…staring at her, and despite how romantic it all ways, what he said next had left Juniper rather perplexed. “…huh? Um, r-right about what?”

Apollo leaned forward just a bit and kissed her forehead. “How beautiful you’d look under the moonlight.” 

Apollo took her hands and just stared into her beautiful eyes. He always though her braids were cute, but when she let her hair down like this, allowing it to… curl? Wave? Weave? He wasn’t sure what it was called, but it was gorgeous. He wanted to run his fingers through it, but they’d have to sit down first… well maybe not, but it’d be much less awkward, in his mind. “Do you want to find an opening to sit down somewhere?” 

If there was anything to turn Juniper’s cheeks an even deeper shade of crimson, or at keep the blush in her cheeks sustained further, it was most certainly that. Despite not always being the best with words, when it came to moments like these, Apollo always knew exactly what to say. The brunette nuzzled against his chest, both to show affection and hide her face a little bit before she offered a response to him.

“U-Um…truth be told, I’d love to stay with you holding me like this but we could find a place to sit down if you like. I-I wouldn’t want your arms getting too tired from carrying me and everything.” She wasn’t exactly picky. She just really liked being held by him.

Apollo gave her a lovey smile.  “It’s whatever you wish until my arms get tired, my love.” He beamed, “I love holding you, and I love making you happy and comfortable.

The green-clad hero's journey to find his brother as well as the hero's nervous whistling stopped briefly while Klavier paused the game to look at Apollo.

"How much?" Klavier asked with a grin.

Klavier glanced at his laughing boyfriend. The image was adorable and Klavier loved Apollo’s laughter so much. It wasn’t possible for him to not smile. However, the sight that made him smile was the same sight that pulled the corners of his lips down. So, he quickly turned away and focused on the game.

He had just finished sucking in the last ghost and was rewarded with a chest in the middle of the room. The way the hero opened the chest was a little funny, in Klavier’s opinion. However, he couldn’t bring himself to even giggle.

“Cute,” he said, sighing softly.

“Hurnk- Heerh--! I- I can’t make the noise!!” He continued laughing until Mekiko got mad, glared at him and ran away. “Heh- hee-hah- Awwww, noooo!” Apollo whined, still giggling some before moving to instead lean on his lover. “How far are you again?” He was pretty sure Klavier hadn’t played this one before.

“I dunno.” Klavier shrugged.

He got a key from the chest and he was on his way to open the door when he was stopped by a ‘call’ from the professor. He was being warned about how the ghosts up ahead were different, more powerful.

“I don’t... It’s been a while since I’ve last beaten this.” He commented, wrapping an arm around him. He just loved watching him play some of his favorite games like this. He hoped he liked it.

Another soft sigh left Klavier. His eyes didn’t stray away from the screen when he spoke,

“You don’t have to pretend to be interested, Liebling.”

Apollo blinked at that. “What? I’m not pretending. I love watching you play my games!” Why would he be doing this if he weren’t interested. “I’m just trying to remember if you’ve fought the first boss yet.”

After the green hero with a vacuum cleaner on his back entered a new hallway with three new doors in it, Klavier paused the game and looked at Apollo with a pout.

“You’ve played it before and I’m not a very entertaining gamer. It’s been awhile and I’ve still hadn’t seen anything worth considering a boss. Playing with your girlfriend is obviously more interesting than whatever it is I am doing.”

Apollo stared at the screen and blinked. “Wait... have we never played this before? I was asking about the last time....” Did they play something different?

"No, but the worst thing is when you rub your face in a cat tummy and get cat hair up your nose."

“AJ, c’mon, you know almost every disease out there is out to kill ya.” Datz finished peeling the apple and swiftly cut it in smaller pieces. “Now shut up and eat ya fruits. You’re drinkin’ tea with honey as soon as the kettle’s ready.”

Apollo gave him a soft glare. Dr. Fi’hlin Bahd told him to minimize the talking to help his voice heal. The last thing he wanted was to lose his Chords of Steel!  “I haven’t been sick in months…” He mumbled, barely audible.

“Shush! I can still hear you tryna say s-” The rest of Datz’s sentence was muffled by the kettle’s cry.

He put his index finger to his lips, mimicking a shushing motion. Then he went to make the tea, leaving Apollo with the peeled slices of an apple.

The tea was made from local plants’ dried leaves, which people believed cured almost anything. To that mixture Datz added a little bit of honey. However, the ‘bit’ part was debatable, as it was almost half the cup of honey. The more the better, in Datz’s opinion. Now the tea couldn’t possibly be bitter.

The magic ‘get well soon’ potion Datz brought back to Apollo with a plate to put the mug on.

“Here. You’ll be back on yer feet in no time!”

Apollo shuffled to a chair and fiddled on his phone until Datz came over with the tea. He didn’t feel like being scolded again, so he gave Datz a look of gratitude as he set the tea down. That soft-eyed look lasted until he actually tried the tea because ow that’s hot, but also it was sweet enough to make his teeth curl. However, the gesture was still nice, so he couldn’t possibly make any smart ass comments, so despite his facial expression, he gave the other an approving thumbs up.
