It was a quiet afternoon, the apartment was silent. The only sound heard was the sound of the cats chasing each over in the living room.

Macklin hadn’t called yet, but you knew you’d be receiving a call soon. Today was the day that Macklin would be finding out his role within the team fo team canada.

When the phone began to ring, nerves began to run through your body- what if he was right? As soon as you picked up the phone you could hear the excitement in his voice- he sounded like a little kid on Christmas.

It was nearly midnight. Jason had just finished patrol, he had a run in with some of the Joker’s goons. It was rough.

He was beaten with a crowbar- again..

He came in through the window, not wanting to concern the neighbors about “a suspicious man who’s coming in late at night” again.

It was pitch black, rocky was sound asleep on the floor next to the bed. Jason was careful not the wake the large german shepherd.

With every step he winced, there was a massive gash in his side- he’d definitely need stitches. He knew he needed your help but he was hesitant to wake you.

“Oh god, Jay..” you sighed as you stared at his body. He was all bruised and cut up, it broke your heart to see him like this.

“It’s fine, just patch me up..” he murmured, “No you need to go to the hospital!” you retorted immediately, was he serious? There’s no way you could fix this.

“no- no no no!” he growled- his ego was far too big for his own good. “Baby, please..” he begged softly, his tone changing drastically.

“ok..i think i can stitch it up?” you said hesitantly as you looked through your drawer of medical supplies- being a vigilante always had its perks, an this happened to be one of them.

After you found what you were looking for you began stitching him up, “Fuck..” he growled as he gripped the counter so hard his knuckles turned white.

As you placed the final stitch you gave him a soft kiss- a gentle “i’m proud of you”

When you went to pull away he grabbed your neck gently and pulled you back in, hunger radiating off his lips.

It was a stupid argument, he’d accidentally freaked you out causing you to screw up the mission.

He took a few steps forward, “Clearly something has caught your attention.” he murmured gruffly, “See something you like, baby?” he teased.

Your face went red, the tips of your ears burning at his words. He took another step closer, closing the distance between the two of you.

You stood your ground, attempting to act like you weren’t intimidated by him. “C’mon, admit it. You wanna see what’s under the hood..” he purred lowly, his tone mocking.

Softly, you bit your lip nervously. Was he serious? “O-ok..fine! I think you’re hot!” You finally snapped, losing all restraint and resentment towards him, and you kissed him.

He was quick to kiss back, his hands going up under your shirt, grasping the bareness of your waist. “Such a good girl for me.” He murmured gruffly against your lips, you practically melted at the sensation.

Your hands went up to his hair, gripping tightly as his tongue begged for access to your mouth. Gently, he lowered himself down onto his knees, taking your shirt off as he went down. He’s been struggling- a lot. Late nights were spent in your room while he ranted to you. You honestly, never thought anything of it.

The last thing you expected was for him to leave. But there he stood, in front of everyone- accepting his fate.

“I’m not a good leader” he pointed out with a scoff, Shiro had his arms crossed- obviously torn by the situation. “You’re a great leader, Keith!” Shiro confessed- wanting him to see his side of things.

“There’s no better guy for the job than you.” Pidge perked up, she was typically quiet during tough conversations like such but this once, she felt the need to speak up.

“I can’t..” he murmured- “So that’s just it?” You scoffed- clearly angry with the situation. Keith raised an eyebrow at you, “What?..” he asked confused.

“We worked our asses off to get here- and you’re quitting? We’ve made a family here-“ you gestured to everyone in the room, “Hell, you fell in love here! You can’t just uproot everything you’ve know for the past few years for some bullshit such as your ancestry- they left you-" You went on and on before Shiro stopped you.

“That’s enough.” he silenced you with 2 simple words. “Maybe you two should speak..alone.” Shiro suggested carefully, “she might kill him” Lance teased from across the room. Keith sent a death glare his way.

The two walked off to find a more private space- they settled on the corridor to the bedrooms. “Did i mean nothing to you?” You whispered softly- hurt in your tone.

“Baby..” he sighed, “It’s not that- i’m just not made for this..and working for the Blade would be more beneficial than being here- you don’t need me. You have a leader.” He said as he stepped closer.

Once you woke up, your surroundings were definitely different. You were in some sort of ship, your hands were tied but your feet were loose.

“Girl is awake,” a man’s voice said loudly- clearly announcing it to other people. A woman approached, she had purple skin, darker purple hair, and two darker purple slashes on her face.

“Who are you with?” she demands, “Who the hell are you?” you spat back, she huffed and rolled her eyes in response. Just then, you heard the familiar sound of boots shuffling- it sounded like Keith- he didn’t pick up his feet when he walked so his shoes made a specific noise.

You immediately perked up and looked around, there he was. “Y/n?..” he questioned as he saw your face. “You know her?” The woman asked- “This is..Y/n, we worked together on Voltron..” He admits.

“I don’t believe him, i think they’re both Garla.” a man’s voice growled, “I believe him.” the woman said softly, “Of course you do, he’s your child!” the man snapped.

“Child?? This is your mom?!” you yelled at keith- clearly in shock at the entirety of the situation. Was she serious? Was keith her kid?

“Mom this is my girlfriend..” keith said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck. The other man was clearly skeptical of anyone outside of the main people within his group.

“Great- we’ve captured your son’s girlfriend.” the man scoffed- not impressed one bit.

It was 6pm, classes had just gotten out and it was officially the weekend. As you checked your calendar you realized that the frat down the street was throwing a party.

You were always down for a party, especially if your best friend/teammate, Kenzie, came with you. You met Kenzie in your freshman year, you both were considered the “baby terriers” on the team.

Kenzie was a cute, little, redheaded girl who was full of piss and vinegar. You, on the other hand, were much calmer and easygoing.

Once you reached your dorm you knew it was only a matter of time before Kenzie came in and began to rush you about going to this party.

As if right on time, Kenzie came flying into the small dorm room. “There’s a party and we are SO going!” she squealed excitedly.

You rolled your eyes and laughed softly, you had already picked out your outfit and knew what you were doing with your hair.

It was around 7:30 when the two of you showed up at the party. There was tension in the air- something you couldn’t quite displace.

Cole- one of the guys who was recently called up to the NHL, ran over to you. “Hey sexy” he grinned- clearly drunk.

“Hi hutson.” you laughed in response, ruffling his hair. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed another boy walking over towards the three of you.

He was cute- really cute. It caught your attention immediately. Once he was clearly in view you could feel your heart beating nearly out of your chest.

It was Macklin Celebrini. God, he was beautiful in person..

You were quick to snap back into reality when he spoke up, “Hey, you must be y/n, Cole was telling me about you.” He said softly, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

“Yeah, I am.” You smiled nervously. Cole gave a knowing smirk to Kenzie, and Kenzie couldn’t resist keeping her mouth shut.

“Y/n had a crush on you when she was like 15” Kenzie blurted out loudly- your eyes went wide. Was she serious?

It was true; you’d had a crush on the boy since you were 15, you met him at a hockey tournament and you were a goner from then on out.

“Oh?” he chuckles nervously. Immediately, your cheek heated up. You tried to speak but no words came out.

He was also red, both of you looked like absolute idiots. Later that night, you were in the house's kitchen, grabbing some liquid courage because, god, did you need it.

As you turned around, Macklin was standing in the kitchen. “Hi..” you breathed out softly. “Hey,” he chuckled as he grabbed a beer from the cooler.

“Sorry about earlier..” you murmured, still slightly flustered from the entirety of the situation.

He walked closer, his hands gently finding your waist. “It’s ok..” he murmured as he bent down gently and kissed you.

It was warm and soft- the perfect mix of gentle and hungry.
