aquarian.
the aquarian boys laying entangled in all sorts of angles drowning in vats of water inside & behind those eyes exposing skin under covers, drinking it all in diving from one ocean to another, currents merge together
the aquarian boys, star gazers outside all the noise, pointing out far off constellations day dreaming in the evening exchanging kisses & goodbyes like lullabies

Introducing, "THE BOGGART" AKA- "Bug" "Bugbear" "Bogey"
This creepy motherf@#cker is not be to be trusted- they're typically found in swamps and bogs (thus the name) but have been known to follow people home. Beware- once these little monsters latch on to a family there isn't much you can do to shake em. They kidnap kids, kill dogs, and spoil milk. (That last one's more so obnoxious than anything.) Clammy hands on your face at night? Most likely a Boggart.
Horseshoe hanging on the door, and a pile of salt outside should keep 'em at bay.
"Don't Worry About it" 2014 by Chris Dalpe. Haven't been drawing all that much lately and I'm happy to say I'm working on a few projects! Woot Woot!
Bear & Bones is back #cher

"Time Enough At Glass" I thought I should make this for the world.
"Searchers after horror haunt strange, far places"
-H.P. Lovecraft
"Everybody is a book of blood; wherever we're opened, we're read."
-Clive Barker (Books of Blood)
"Stories you read when you're the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you'll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit." -Neil Gaiman (M is for Magic)
ALIENS ATTACK!! 2012
Bear & Bones
(Bear & Bones by Christopher Dalpe 2013) Every summer just before the Pride Parade the Portland Phoenix puts out a mini paper specifically related to our beautiful and majestic queer kingdom. Not surprising, given that Maine legalized marriage for same-sex couples this year that a lot of what was talked about and celebrated during Pride week in Portland Maine this year revolved around: You guessed it, WEDDING BELLS! Being a particular kind of faggot, when approached by the Phoenix to create an full page comic for the issue, I wanted to talk about another side of being queer, one that didn't revolve around weddings. I wanted to essentially write a letter to MY LGBTQIA community and ask- are we marching in solidarity or is this just a fucking parade? Pride commemorates Stonewall... it honors all the wonderful queer people who fought and died for us. It's meant to be so loud and wonderful that even in the deepest and farthest of the most cluttered closets, little baby gays might hear us saying, "it's okay to be who you are." I used the comic... as a soap box. So, here's to our super sexy, sassy, radical and bad ass community! You can check out the issue 'Bear & Bones' was printed in right here!
