Benefits of Having Mental Health Break
As a student, it is really exhausting to push ourselves to finish all our tasks at once. Sometimes we just lose motivation to do our work and we get piled up with loads of outputs that we are required to pass. This is so tiring not just for the body but also for our mind. I personally experience this in class. I often get very low motivation, I get overwhelmed that I lose interest in doing my tasks and it piles up on me which causes more stress for me.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream to achieve my goal. I am blessed to have understanding teachers that give ample time to catch up. If not for their considerations, I would have failed a lot of times and I would have failed really bad. This eases the tension that I am feeling and I get energized to follow through and finish my tasks. I also love that school boards and government agencies for education are giving great importance in prioritizing the mental health of students like me. This gives me time to recuperate and reflect on my performance in the past quarter.
Mental health break gives me time to process my thoughts and feelings about my studies and it allows me to improve my motivation. I can re-strategize my approach in finishing my tasks. I have a fresh start as the next quarter starts. It also gives me time to relax my mind, have fun and spend time with my family and friends which could greatly improve my esteem and confidence.
I support mental health for everyone, not just students. We all deserve to relax and free our minds of worry. May we all get the rest that we need without feeling guilty of the consequences that may pile up on us as we pause to prioritize our health. At the end of the day, self-discipline should be observe and self love should not compromise our goals and dreams.
Have a great day!
