Witty Knockout Punch Lines from the Netizen after the Pacquiao v Mayweather Fight
They are more entertaining than the actual fight.
As of now, we are already assuming that you knew what happened to the fight of the century (*cough what fight? *cough). Who won and who lose. But just in case you were out-of- town and no cable TV nor Free TV is available, let us summarized it for you. Manny Pacquiao keeps on throwing punches, Mayweather keeps on hugging Pacquiao if not running, they made it to the round 12, judges had unanimous decision, Mayweather won which means Pacquiao lose, and just the rest of the world thought, Manny thought he won.
And yes, we are a bit disappointed on the outcome of the fight, not just who won but the actual fight itself. We are expecting punches coming from different side every round but what we’ve seen is too far from what they have promised (Damn, we paid a lot to see you guys fight). We barely see a round with punches coming from both parties – cause it’s always Manny. #ForReal
But just like the rest of the world, we found ourselves ranting on Social Media without knowing reading one-liner punch lines and memes are much entertaining than watching the fight. We learned some new words to add into our vocabulary and some life and relationship advice.
The Netizen on Mayweather running skills:
“We didn’t know that it was a marathon nor a fun run!”
- We feel you, we thought the same.
“I didn’t know Mayweather is part of a Kpop group!”
“If we only knew that the score will be based on hugs, we should have sent Sarah Geronimo/Laida Magtalas to train Manny. #PowerHUG!”
- MayweatherHug v PowerHug, let’s have Olaf and Barney to be the judges. *hugs
And the lessons we learned from the fight:
“Kahit niyayakap ka, mag-ingat ka pa rin dahil at some point, sasaktan ka rin nya”
- Who would have thought that playing boxing can also teach you on how some love and relationship ended. #WhoGoat
“Marry someone who hugs you the way Mayweather does to Pacquiao during a fight”
- Boxing can teach you how to find your perfect partner. Have this on your checklist. #RellationshipGoal
Mayweather (verb): Yakapin (Filipino). Hug (English)
Ex. I’m feeling sad, i-Mayweather mo nga ako.
I’m feeling sad, Mayweather me.
Mayweather (verb): Takbuhan (Filipino). Run, walk away (English)
Ex. Kinakausap pa kita, huwag mo akong i-Mayweather!
I’m still talking to you, don’t Mayweather me!
- If their fight is not qualified to be brand as the “Fight of the century”, can we at least have this new word be the “Word of the year”? Cause you know, words evolves like BAE. Right, Bae? Promise, I would not Mayweather you. During our fight, I’ll just Mayweather you.
Oh, it’s a bit confusing, let’s decide which word fit best.
Mayweather (adj): When someone hug you, then hurt, and then running away from you. (English)
Ex : My ex Mayweather me. He’s such and a$$.
