Laniate
For once I felt fully rested, like all my energy was restored, I no longer had nightmares with her by my side, we were finally back together and knowing that, realising if we died we would together, it just gave me peace. My eyes studied hers as we were all set and titled my head to the side. “How?” I asked her as I took out the map to figure out how to drive. “You mean. You want to go home? How will that?” And yet then it hit me and I frowned deeply. “Right.. Maybe with luck it’s still in there.” I said as I opened the garage and sighed relieved by the calmth before driving off, back to our home town. “Let’s hope it’s walker free.”
"You do realize that everyone we once knew is probably dead by now, right?" I wondered while looking out of the window, it was still surreal to think that this virus would ever happen to the world, you read about it in the books and watched it in series on the tv but I had never expected it to be real. "This injection is your only hope to stay alive, I just want to help you, I can't lose you to one of them." I whispered and leaned my head back to look at him, my fingers running along his smooth jawline again, my thumb tracing the shape of his lips. "I still can't believe it, you, us, still alive and kicking. I'm so happy to have you back." I smiled dreamily and leaned over to rest my head on his shoulder, both looking at the endless road ahead of us. "What will we do after we get there and in the best case scenario have that injection in our pocket? Where will we go?"
