Stop me if you’ve heard this one before…

A regular friendly competition event, one typically involving many colours and occasionally the usage of paint and/or paint-like tools, has two opposing teams every event, with two contrasting themes to represent them. However, one day, they surprise everyone by unexpectedly announcing THREE opposing themes. The colour schemes of which are Blueish, Orange/Yellowish, and Red With Heavy Accents Of Grey. The characters behind each team have masks representing them. Yellowish/Orange is bright and upbeat, Bluiesh is more low-key and somber, and Red is the unexpected third party that caught everyone off-guard.

Now, am I talking about Artfight, or Splatoon?

As your friendly Deep Cut Special Interest-ist (which is kicking up into high gear because of Raiders hype), I couldn’t help myself. I know I wasn’t the only one whose first thought was “..did they just pull a splatoon 3 on us?”, and if anyone was gonna make an art of it, it was gonna be me.

10 years ago today, Kirby: Planet Robobot came out. (At least, in the US and Europe)

Given that Kirby is my favourite game series of all time, that Planet Robobot is one of the best Kirby games for most people, and that I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life basically novelising the story… yeah, I was obligated to draw something for the occasion, heh <3

Tryin' ta figure out how to stylize these guys for my own drawing purposes going forward, because drawing Orbot more on-model like I've done in the one (1) other full piece I have featuring him not in human form has felt kind of...unnatural if that makes sense. I think the attempt's going pretty well so far, what do you guys think?

So, I saw The Amazing Digital Circus Last Act in theatres the other day. (don’t worry, there’s no spoilers ahead, I drew this beforehand)

I’ve enjoyed this show quite a lot, even if the fandom has become completely insane. Then again, what fandom hasn’t? TADC has paved the way for indie animation, and it’s bittersweet to see it end.

…iunno what else I can say, I don’t have the emotional attachment to give some big speech about this..
