I'm starting school for videography in January and it's been a really rough journey to get to this point. 26 years of hardship. I'm glad I am here and have this opportunity. I want to make this post to give hope to my fellow queer community and tell my future queer screenwriters, directors, cinematographers etc... that we won't let them win.
Unfortunately Stranger Things got too big for it's britches. I'm not saying that there isn't still a chance of Byler endgame. I do believe it will happen. But I also do believe that the buildup and payoff could have been SO MUCH better.
I want film makers in the industry like US. People who truly get it. We would make the best god damn ending anyone has ever seen. WE could do it better.
I love all of you in this fandom so so much and I want you all too know how intelligent, thought-provoking, empathetic, and truly special you all are. You built this story into something so beautiful and you didnt even have to go far to do it. You just looked at the subtext. You made sense of what was layed out right in front of you.
Absolutely SCREW anyone and everyone who is trying to bully you into thinking you are anything but so incredibly intelligent.
It's hard to be a forward thinker because unfortunately, not a lot of people are. Unfortunately, the majority of people stay in their little bubble and never venture out of it.
I want you all to know you have the ability to change the world, no matter how big or how small. You all deserve to be behind the making of this art. Film, drawings, set design, lighting. All of it.
Queer people own this damn world. We made it. We keep it spinning. We are all so fucking resilient. Keep loving who you love and keep being who you are and shout it from the fucking rooftops. People need to hear YOUR stories. Make them. KEEP making them.
