my favorite thing about being a dad is seeing the world through ella jane’s eyes. she’s got these big blue wide eyes that are always trying to take in everything in the world all at once, and her little mind is already so funny of questions and the urge to learn and i don’t know what i did to deserve her but i swear nothing in my life has ever been as amazing as being her dad.

there’s plenty of humorous things, too, like how i almost missed her birth because i was in the studio and i didn’t know my phone had died.
