Indulge in a luxurious yet easy-to-make shrimp pasta dish with a creamy white wine sauce. Perfect for a fancy dinner or a cozy night in.
Ingredients: 8 oz linguine pasta. 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined. 2 tbsp olive oil. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup white wine. 1 cup heavy cream. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook linguine until it is al dente. Remove the water and set it aside. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Mix in the garlic and cook until it smells good. Put shrimp in the pan and cook for about two to three minutes on each side until they turn pink. Take the shrimp out of the pan and set it aside. Use white wine to clean out the pan and scrape up any browned bits on the bottom. Be sure to add the Parmesan cheese and heavy cream. After about 5 minutes, the sauce should get thicker. Add salt and pepper to taste to the sauce. Return the shrimp and cooked linguine to the pan. Mix the pasta and shrimp with the sauce by tossing them around. Before serving, sprinkle with fresh parsley.
