A playful roll of her eyes was the obvious answer to the man’s comment, her perfectly polished fingers finding solace around the thin stem of her glass - without a ring to be found. “A charmer, I should have known,” she acknowledged in a relaxed tone, allowing herself to humor him as an exception - a very special circumstance where she’d ever allow a man to make such a pass at her. After plucking a green olive from the toothpick with her teeth, she gave him a smile. “I got caught up in traffic… you know how New York is, baby.” Her voice was sultry as ever as she finished off her drink, her tongue gliding over her crimson lips in search of any remaining liquid. “Absolutely, I’m quite parched.”
“I’ll forgive you this one time,” Sebastian responded, fully engaged and fascinated by the woman. He loved to play this game and the fact that she was letting him was enough to get the man grinning. “But you’ll have to make it up to me,” he added, waving the bartender over. “The lady will have another and keep them coming.” His attention returned to her, a smirk remained on his lips as his eyes took her in completely, well as much as he could in her seated position, but even then he could see that she was stunning. “What’s your name beautiful?”
