Last month I finally sat down and watched The Untamed- WTF IS THIS I'M IN LOVE WEI YING MY BABY CUTIE PATOOTIE I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH THE CHEMISTRY IS ABSOLUTE BONKERS I'M IN HEAVEN MY YAOI ANGST HEART CAN'T TAKE THISSSSS 🥀

Anyways 😊 Danmei is my one of new obsessions nowdays. Kinda crazy that it took me this long to get here, considering how much BL and GL I read. Probably cuz' I've never been into historical fantasy settings much and danmei novels have this setting quite a lot. Now I did 360 babyyy and I can't get enough of it!!! I also finally get the long hair obsession- like yeah these Legolas lookin' ahhh do something to me....

Tho tbh after finishing The Untamed I right away jumped on Word of Honor and dare I say I actually love it wayyyy more. Probably because I just love their dynamic more - Wen Kexing being the unbothered hoe he is and harrasing Zhou Zi Shu 24/7 is just peak cinema. I also appreciate how minimally the drama was censored. Like they flirt CONSTANTLY. It's hilarious! Don't know how the studio got away with it tbh

I also started reading some Danmei novels, not just watching the live adaptations (watching The Spirealm atm, it's so good, but the censoring is pretty visible despite me not even reading the source material 🥀). Anyways, Thousand Autumns is sooo good! I'm at Vol. 3 and I'm lovin' it so far. The main characters balance each other very well and Yan Wushi reminds me a lot of Wei Kexing - both are "evil" flirty demon insects bothering the main ill guy *perfection*

I also started reading the first vol. of Ballad of Sword and Wine, and Case File Compendium. QJJ got me hooked because of the enemies to lovers tag (everyone praising it as the best with this trope in Danmei), which is my fav, but my gooood, the political side of it is killing meeee. I don't mind plot driven romance story, often times I even prefer it, because slow burn is usually that way, but holy sh*t this will be rough to go through....I also unfortunately got spoiled with one particular horse scene and that itself is pushing me to keep reading 🥀🥀🥀

CFC (BAB) looks like pretty standard dark (toxic) yaoi. From what I've read, the author dives into A LOT of dark themes, which I don't mind, but out of the 3 novel series, I chose this one, mainly cuz' YUWU is ex's to lovers (not a fan of established relationship) and 2ha seems to have waaay too much pay gorn for my taste, not to mention most of it (i think) being 🍇 ....Just nah. No thx

But yeah, that's about it. Give me some of your recomms guys if u want <3 (not a fan of isekai, established relationship, omegaverse and dear god pls no fish mpreg...)

Incredible show! Saw this ig reel a while back of it, thought it looked cool, made some time few days ago to give it a try and now I'm OBSESSED. Hands down the best donghua I've seen and probably even the best sci-fi show as well. Definitely should be on Netflix to get more global recognition, cuz' it certainly deserves it. The story, character development, creature design, music, fight choreography, pacing and overall great balance of dark themes and humor really sold it for me. I'm geniually so impressed. Kudos to the creators! Now I'm hella hyped for the 3rd season!!!

The Soma/Severance theory really kicked in with this ep huh

The idea of the characters' scanned brains to enter TADC being due to outside reasons, such as splitting their minds from their bodies, almost like in Severance is pretty interesting. Them not knowing that leaving could bring only death or no way to return to their normal life, body is pretty disturbing. The idea of people CHOOSING to enter TADC to escape the outside world and then forgetting about it, either due to psychological aspect like in Severance or the world's essential destruction like in Soma - leaving the body behind and keeping only the brain, but not knowing about the outside world's situation.
