Thank you for the input! I love empaths, & being able to explore that and the culture of Betazoids really appeals to me.
I might be making Janice inactive. I don't know, I've rebooted her twice & I feel like I've lost all muse for her. I've also not made an OC in a while, & I'd like to try & make one with more thought put into her. Literally the only reason I'm hesitating is because of my lovely threads with khantsleep & rex-stellarum -- so guys, if I was to make a different account, would you still want to thread?

Janice is officially rebooted! She has a new face-claim, & I’ll be working on her characterisation, but I might be dropping some threads. If I am dropping a thread, I’ll send you a message — & probably ask if you want to start a new one! Please check the new about pages, & come chat to me & Ness!

Leonard had always doubted his parenting skills, so even though he wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to look after Janice, he was doubting himself just a little. Still, he had spent enough time with Joanna when she was that age, he thought, to be able to adequately take care of Janice.
He nodded as if he was considering it, and then looked over to her as he carried her into the oddly quiet mess hall.
"I think I’ll have strawberry."
Ness looked around as they walked, curiously taking in her surroundings. There weren't as many people down here which was a relief, and she perked up a little. The prospect of ice cream wasn't doing any harm either -- usually she wasn't allowed ice cream at home, or she had to share.
"I like strawberry too," she confided, "But I had strawberry last time."

“‘Course you can.” He nodded, taking her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze.
Really, the Enterprise was no place for a child. It was too busy, and too hectic. Too dangerous. He should have taken her to his office, or his quarters or something, where it was maybe a bit quieter. He looked down, noting her distress, and pulled her up by her underarms and settled her on his hip. “What flavour of ice cream you gonna have?”
Ness grasped onto the front of his shirt, snuggling her face into his neck as they walked. At least she had found Leonard -- he was nice, and she liked that he picked her up and carried her. Her legs got tired when she had to walk too much.
She considered his question, thumb back in her mouth -- removing it to speak, and then popping it back in again.
"...chocolate?"

Several people on my dash have fallen victim to a new tumblr error. You won’t be able to log back in (except perhaps via mobile, /if/ you’re already signed in.) There is a something up and I’ve seen at least 10 people say they’re getting password incorrect messages upon trying to login.
Leonard was almost getting used to the whole de-aging thing; every race they came across thought they were the first ones to do it, but honestly, this wasn’t the first time. That didn’t mean that Leonard had a cure, it just meant that he wasn’t surprised.
He looked down, brow furrowing slightly.
"Alright, c’mon then— we’ll go and get you somethin’ to eat."
"Can I have ice cream?"
She slipped her tiny hand into his, shuffling against his leg when a nurse rushed by with a PADD in hand. Ness didn't know anyone really, and she was scared of how busy this place was, how loud it was. She took her thumb out of her mouth and pressed it over one ear, but it didn't help in the slightest.
Mm, please.

Getting turned into a four year old child hadn't actually done any harm to Ness. She was tinier than usual, with dimpled cheeks and big eyes. She followed the nice man that she recognised, even though the room smelt funny.
Tugging on his sleeve, she popped her thumb into her mouth.
"M'hungry."

Leonard wasn’t a massive fan of thunder storms for a number of reasons. Usually he was stuck at the hospital when they caused a hundred different accidents, meaning he’d be rushed off his feet, and then he’d get soaked on his way home in the pitch black at 2am, six hours after his shift was supposed to end. And apparently, this time was no different. He looked out of the window, arms folded across his chest. “This is bullshit.”
Ness glanced over at Leonard, trying to hide the smile that was tugging at her lips. She had always loved thunderstorms, but she hadn't planned on waiting to pick Len up in one. With the rain coming down so hard, there was no way she'd be able to see well enough to drive.
"Something like that," she sighed, running a hand through her hair, "There is no way I can drive you home in this."
