Missing You

Do you ever just miss someone who meant the world to you but now you two are nothing but “strangers” again. You want to contact them but you see them doing so well without you. You wish them nothing but the best, you want to make sure they experience nothing but success and happiness in life. You want to watch them grow as a person. You can’t help but check in on them every now and then. You see what you’ve missed on, the new friends they’ve made, the new places they’ve been, the new challenges they’ve encountered and conquered, the new experiences...you weren’t there to see it happen. You wish you could apologize for everything and start over but it always feels too late so you don’t do it at all. Regretting every thing you did that was wrong.

T, I hope and pray that you succeed in life. You’ve always been a smart, strong, and beautiful person inside and out. I’m proud of you and everything you’ve done. I wish I could be apart of it, but things happen for a reason. Just know, I’ve always cheered you on and will continue to do so. I’m genuinely happy for you and I’m amazed with your growth. You’ll probably never see this but I thought I’d say something that’s always been on my chest.
