A note as well; this happened to a Canadian sub as well a while back. People found out that r/canada was being astroturfed to shit by russian backed users when they did a "reddit year end review" and had russia show up as no.2 on the list. And the right leaning canadian sub r/canada_sub IS infiltrated by Russian backed accounts and the posts were made by a few handful of power users. Subredditdrama made a post about it as well.
