Macaque. Actually, the "Six-Eared Macaque" is, you know, my full name. Actually, that's not entirely true, my real name is Yuelei, my mate Wukong gave me that name when we were younger. Well, see you around, Tumblr.
Welcome to the shadow play everyone, gather around and meet The Six-Eared Macaque/Yuelei of this Ask/Rp Blog!
{Yuelei/Mac's Bio post will be subject to change as the Ask/Rp Blog progresses!}
Name: Yuelěi / Yuelei
Origin of the name: 月 (yuè) meaning "moon" and 蕾 (lěi) meaning "buds, unopened flowers".
Alias: Macaque/The Six-Eared Macaque/ Liu'er Mihou Species: Shadowwalker Gender: Intersex (A Genetic condition where one is not exclusively male/female, but somewhere in between.)
Pronouns: He/Him and They/Them
Age: 1,000 plus or so (Younger than Wukong but not by much, give or take 2-3 years younger.) Practically ageless/functionally immortal. Honestly dying and being revived has really fucked up his age timeline wise, so it's anyone's guess.
Likes: The sun, the moon, the stars/constellations, acting, singing, dancing, making art, writing plays/directing them, shadow plays, ducks, shiny objects, music, soft and gentle rainstorms.
Dislikes: Loud sudden noises, thunderstorms, crowded and noisy places like the city, heights, fleas and ticks, most birds especially chickens.
Favorite Foods: Plums, peaches, mangoes, coconuts, moonflowers, crabs, spiders, lizards, fish, seeds, other bugs etc.
Lover/Mate: Sun Wukong {{ @xxsun-kingxx }}
Children: MK The Monkie Kid and Bai He
Future Children To Be Depicted: Xiaoyang and Xingmei Mental/Emotional Health: Mostly stable, but has ptsd, seasonal depression, and is autistic with sensory overload issues.
Physical Health: Mostly healthy, but is constantly cold, has chronic pain on his right side and chest/heart pains due to LBD's ice-crystal magic still lingering in his system even after all this time, and suffers from his limbs locking up due to something like rigorous mortis, and has a mild form of narcolepsy. Partially blind in his right eye and has chronic migraines on only the RIGHT side of his skull. His core used to be unstable.
Core Health: Used to be unstable, but has since been relatively stabilized. Almost died again, because LBD's magic was the thing keeping him alive before, but they have since found new magical energy to keep his core stable. At risk of relapsing and his core cracking if he's put under immense physical, mental, or emotional stressors. The only permanent fix is a Peach Of Immortality.
The Mysterious Story of The Moon: First Life To First Death-
Yuelei's background before he met Sun Wukong is as mysterious as the dark side of the moon. Not even Yuelei remembers his past, for it is haunted by trauma and pain to such depths that Yuelei's brain has darkened out his past as a form of self-defense to protect him from his past phantoms.
Yuelei doesn't remember how he found his way to Flower Fruit Mountain, he doesn't know a life before the Mountain. He might remember feelings from the time before he came to live on Flower Fruit Mountain, but he doesn't have memories, just the feelings. He doesn't know what age exactly he was when he first stepped foot on the shores of FFM, but he knows he was young, really young. Probably somewhere between 3 to 5 years of age.
Yuelei did not have his name at the time he met Wukong and became friends with him. Wukong is the one that discovered him on FFM and brought him back to his Troopmates. Yuelei was nonverbal at the start, and so the Elders of the Troop simply bestowed the name Six-Eared Macaque on him, because of his six ears and him being a macaque monkey.
Wukong thought this unfair and decided to think up of a real name for Yuelei and that's how he finally got the name Yuelei. Upon receiving his name, Yuelei spoke for the very first time.
The two best buds were inseparable since that day.
They grew up together in relative peace and happiness, until the day things changed when Wukong and Yuelei learned what death was. Death was the catalyst that caused their lives to go into a tragic direction. Wukong became obsessed with finding a way to make sure the ones he loved and himself didn't EVER die.
After Wukong dedicated his life to this mission, he promised Yuelei that once it was finished, they would live a lazy life under the sun getting fat off of fruits for the rest of forever.
During Wukong's quest for immortality, Yuelei followed along his ever-loyal warrior. At some point this led to the formation of the Brotherhood and for them to proclaim War against the Celestial Realm. During these days, Yuelei felt as if he was growing distant from Wukong, it was no longer just the two of them and their loving Troopmates. Wukong had other equals at his side, brothers in arms that would fight with him to the bitter end.
Overtime Yuelei felt as though he was falling behind/being left behind. That he was no longer as important to Wukong anymore, and their promise of forever being fulfilled felt farther and farther away each year that passed them by. Slowly and surely the bonds between the Sun and the Moon began to shake and break, year by year Yuelei would feel left out of Wukong's love and light.
Wukong did his best to reassure Yuelei and reaffirm how important he was, and how he still intended to keep their promise, and that he was doing all of it for them.
Tragically, the threads of their bonds would tear apart and break after their failure to bring down the Jade Emperor. Yuelei would do his best to visit Wukong underneath Five Phases Mountain and provide comfort, but the longer Wukong was trapped and knowing that the rest of the Brotherhood had abandoned him, the more resentful Wukong became of his imprisonment.
Having nowhere to run from himself, he let out all his pain upon Yuelei. Because Yuelei was still free, he could still come and go, he could still see the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars and everything. He could still partake in the joys of food and drink, and all that life had to offer.
While Wukong was trapped under mountain in the dark.
Eventually their small conflicts turned into huge arguments, and finally... one day, it all came to an end. Yuelei, having had enough of Wukong's verbal mistreatment towards his person, walked away after exchanging choice words.
Yuelei might have walked away, but he didn't truly leave for good. Instead, he kept an eye on Wukong from time to time with his shadows, but made sure Wukong wouldn't see him again, because that's what Wukong wished.
500+ years later after Wukong was freed from Five Phases Mountain and left for a Journey To The West, Yuelei decided to check in on him, only to find out Five Phases Mountain was destroyed and Wukong was gone. Using his six ears to try and figure out what happened to Wukong, he heard Wukong screaming in agony. Terrified for the safety of his former and dear friend, Yuelei set off looking for him.
It took years, but finally he found Wukong, only to see red when he watched the great Monk Tripitaka use the circlet upon Wukong whenever the Monk decided he was out of line. Wanting nothing more than to protect/save Wukong from what he thought was abuse, he hatched a plan of attack.
This was the beginning of the end for the Six-Eared Macaque. 500+ years of letting himself lack on training and years surviving all alone, left Yuelei weaker than before. His power levels paled in comparison to Sun Wukong's own, who had many years to hone his power.
The imbalance of power is what led to the accidental death of Yuelei at the hands of Wukong. The King of the Monkeys never intended to kill Yuelei, being unaware of how weak the warrior was in comparison to him now, he never could have foreseen the battle ending with Yuelei's blood all over his hands and his staff.
Wukong was able to take a short respite from the Journey and was allowed to go back home to FFM to lay Yuelei to rest under their Peachtree.
Second Life (After many deaths/revivals) To Present Time -
Thousands of years later Yuelei was revived by the Lady Bone Demon to be her Champion and help her reforge the world. Yuelei took the deal, however he never intended to follow through. With the breath of his brand-new second life, he rebelled and walked away. Unfortunately, he could not run from "destiny" forever and LBD dragged him back and forced him to dance for her or die.
Yuelei being the master at theatre and pretending to be something he's not and played the big bad villain in order to secure his own life. Doing all he could to stall, Yuelei looked for ways out of his deal with the LBD and never had any intention to do her bidding, like bringing Wukong, MK and the others back to her.
Yuelei fooled everyone with his act, and somehow bought himself enough time to escape his deal with the LBD. But not before she punished him several times over for his failures by killing him over and over again and then bringing him back to life.
Fortunately, through the events of the Samadhi Fire incident, Yuelei finally was freed from his deal, and with his newfound freedom he helped Wukong, MK the Monkie Kid and the rest of their crew to defeat LBD once and for all.
Afterwards he slowly stepped out of the shadows and into the light of their lives, becoming a part of their day to day. Slowly accepted him into their friend/family circle and he began to find his place in the Universe once more.
Yuelei has fought alongside Wukong, MK and the others through thick and thin, against seemingly impossible odds, and they've all pulled through together. And at some point, during his wild new lease on life, somehow, someway, he and Wukong finally found some time to sit down and talk about what happened between them. They are slowly starting to work towards closure and reconciliation now. It's a road to recovery that will last a lifetime and they're sure to have their rough patches, but a lifetime is exactly what they have now.
An immortal lifetime at that.
Forever.
Thier promise of forever has never been this close to being fulfilled.
PSA: Blog events take place after S5! Anything that happens on this blog before S6 is released should be accepted as part of an alternative canon/universe because unlike Yuelei/Macaque the Mun/Roleplayer of Yuelei/Mac (You may call me Luna) cannot hear into the future of the show!
