Handsome in any aspect, for some reason I always liked him even more with facial hair, especially a grey moustache. Shame he didn't make it his default look.

How hard should it be to find this man wearing leather gloves? I know he occasionally wore them in Rebus, but this is the only gloved Stott I have found so far.

Always loved him as an actor. I've seen every Ken Stott episode of Rebus more than once. Never actually fancied him that much until he started getting older and a little tubbier.

Then he's cast in a TV adaptation of J.B.Priestly's An Inspector Calls and... Oh my fucking God!

And, occasionally, he shows up smoking a cigar. Believe me, he knows how to smoke a cigar.

P.S. Another thanks for all the likes, follows and comments. I always hoped there were other leather-glove-wearing, cigar- and pipe-smoking perverted obsessive gentlemen out there. It's good to have the confirmation.

Neill Rae

Who doesn't love a Kiwi detective? OK, so Brokenwood Mysteries is a bit derivative: a murderous rural backwater (Midsomer Murders), a slightly dishevelled lead character driving an old car (Columbo), which happens to be a classic of its type (Morse), and with a niche taste in music (Morse again). I happen to love it. Every single episode, and not just for the stunningly handsome Neill Rae.

I discovered Brokenwood when I found Brian watching it in secret. When I asked why he didn't want me to know, he said he though I might be jealous as Neill looks a bit like me...

I can see a slight resemblance (the beard and the paunch, mainly). But Neill has a full head of hair and I... don't. He's also younger than me. I don't often find a younger man attractive. I make an exception here.

Anyway, now we watch it together. The episodes are clever, the outcomes are usually unexpected and Senior Detective Mike Shepherd uses brain-power more than force (Margret - although most detective shows can find their roots in Maigret). He looks good in leather, BTW.

Of all my postings, the shots of Ed Asner (Yitzhak Edward Asner) as Lou Grant, with a half-smoked cigar, have had the most interest. So here are a couple more of the great man accompanied by his little smoky friends.
