Tumblr, how are you?
Inside your embrace Is my favorite place Warms my body & face In mysterious ways.
There are days when everything seems to be out of place
when everything seems to be going against you
like its you versus the entire universe
and you’re there - all confused, disappointed and feeling horrible
The Jar & the Coffee
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember this story. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes." The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, " I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. “The golf balls are the important things -- your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. “The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. “The sand is everything else -- the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. “Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and ‘fix the disposal’. “Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."
because they think she’s okay
She is funny. She is energetic. She laughs out loud. She goes with the flow.
She looks fine, she looks okay, she looks normal.
So you make fun of her, you bully her like it’s normal.
Because you think she’s okay.
You point out her flaws and laugh about it.
You compare her with anything you can laugh about.
You shout out loud her imperfections for others to hear.
Beacause you think it’s okay.
She goes home with a heavy heart and tears on her face
She wonders when could this possibly end
She wishes to forget about the pain
But she can’t, cause they won’t stop..
So here she is, pretending to be strong, pretending to be okay, every single day.
Taking all the words, smiling though it hurts.
Because they think she’s okay and they think it’s okay.
Adieu
It's time to wake up & get out of this wrap Destroy all the trap This time I won't flop My eyes built a lump I can hear my gulp But adieu to this hap This love shall just stop
unusual sadness
it’s weird to feel this way
when you know you’re okay
but you feel sad anyway
what could be the reason
for this strange emotion
that remains a question
can’t even make a guess
for my heart is a mess
inscrutable sadness
I don’t know what’s worse: to not know what you are and be happy, or to become what you’ve always wanted to be, and feel alone
Flowers for Algernon
Trying to forget you was like trying to forget your first house. You lived there for too long, you know everything about it by heart. And sure you've moved on and found your dream home, but no matter what, you'll always remember the address.
You were my first love

It’s important to make friendships that are deeper than gossiping and drinking and smoking and going out. Make friends who you can go get breakfast with, make friends you can cry with, make friends who support your life goals and believe in you.
