So this could be Nothing, but my brain just tied "I've met God, he had nothing nice to say about you" from Linda in Black Friday with "I saw God, and he told me, girl/To free up my heart" from Infected!Sam in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals.

Like, the Linda line is absolutely about Wiggly.

And the line in TGWDLM could just work as one of the many ways Sam is trying to convince Charlotte. The infected tend to use what they know of people to tempt or emotionally hurt them (Infected!Alice using Bill's love of his daughter against him). Charlotte is religious. She's the one to suggest going to a church in an emergency. Sam playing up the "miracle" angle makes sense as much as trying to wheedle her from the romance angle.

But also, it is canon that the infected are BOTH still individuals, and the hive mind (Pokotho). if infected!Sam met a god, it would be Pokey in this universe. And Pokey would absolutely tell Sam 'get in there and romance your wife, seduce her, whatever you have to infect her'. And I've seen it pointed out (e.g. in this video essay) that, once they're both dead, Sam becomes much more supportive of Charlotte. He's her hype man and backup dancer. It wasn't just about infecting Charlotte. Once they're in the hivemind together, they're part of the apotheosis together, they can love one another. (Or, really, Pokey can love himself). Pokotho probably sees it as a way to "free"/open people's hearts and unite everyone (with himself, naturally).

In retrospect, it's hilarious that Stratt made everybody on the vat speak English in deference to Grace being monolingual

Because with how quickly Grace was able to pick up Eridian, even with literally NOTHING about it being familiar the way a human language would be, they probably could have chosen Mandarin as the universal language on Stratt's Vat and he would have just. Learned it.

A lot of people act like it legitimately upset jon when he’a smug as shit that whole scene. He’s LOVING his boyfriend acting possessive, petty and jealous. It’s one of his favourite versions of his boyfriend!
