I'm alive, my new heart is slowly rejecting which brings me excitement. Means I can really get to torturing it.

Hi, I've noticed you have scars horizontally in your chest.. did you have also ginecomastia surgery?

This is actually a common question I get but no, it's one scar straight across. It was from my motorbike accident when they had to open my entire chest, safest way to do that was a clamshell incision

getting a new heart sounds like a dream, i'm happy for you!! are you planning on messing up your new heart too?

This new heart will eventually fail so I'm planning to train it to the absolute max. Get it thick and muscular and then it'll eventually balloon like my first heart

It took 7 hours

Oh constantly, I don't have a sternum so my heart is right below the skin

Did you informed where your old heart goes? Did they use your old heart for educational purposes like what usual disease organ go for medication educational purposes?

Yep, my old heart was taking by a university to be studied!

I’m glad a heart was found for you and that you’re recovering. Can you explain more about why your genetic HCM will eventually affect the new heart? Thanks.

I have Familial Cardiomyopathy, so I have a genetic disposition to DCM. I previously was told that my DCM was caused by an accident that I had (and of course, the ridiculous things I would do to my heart), but that it was a coincidence and genetic testing has confirmed that it was always going to happen.

I just have the perfect genetics to ruin hearts it seems.

So, where have I been?

By some kind of miracle, a heart was found for me. My old heart was useless, nothing but murmur and inefficient beating. I had a resting rate of 112bpm and standing up would skyrocket it to 170bpm+

Now I have a new heart, and I'm recovering well from surgery. My DCM is genetic and eventually this new heart will fail like the old one... but for the time being, it's beating and I'm alive

When your heart inevitably stops, are you a DNR or will they try everything to bring you back and get that huge heart barely beating again?

Yeah I'm DNR, there would be no point

What was the injury (dont need an exact description, just what was hit and how heavy that item was) that caused your dramatic increase in heart size?

EF is 13 right now. Injury was a motorcycle accident that smashed my sternum into pieces, multiple pieces of bone were lodged in my heart
