I met a girl
The music was loud, the rhythm thrumming incessantly to the beat. People moving to the groove on the dance floor as more people streamed in. My first time in a club, and awkwardly aware of the fact. My only friend away in the backroom, ready to entertain the masses with his adorable red hat and mustache costume.
It took a while and a few drinks to get myself to dance, stumbling along the circular dance floor. My eyes connected with a guy’s, and he didn’t hesitate to pull me in to dance with his group of two other girls. One of these girls, I could sort of tell was just like me, queer.
I don’t know what happened, but fast forward in time, I was dancing with the cute queer girl in my arms, her friends shouting at us to kiss. It was very surreal, and though the first time we turned away due to shyness, we kissed a short while after. One kiss turned to several kisses throughout the night and we left the club with each other’s contact numbers.
Since then, its been about 5 days. We’ve been messaging each other a lot and have really gotten to know each other. The coming Sunday we have a movie date planned and the both of us can’t wait.
I really hope it goes well.
