Raison d’être {Prologue}
Author’s Note: Hello everyone! This is, as you can see, the prologue to my fanfiction chronicles ‘Behind The Garden Wall’ and before you ask; yes I got insoired by the show ‘Behind The Garden Wall’ for this title (credits to owner). This chapter is the prologue to every other up coming story in this chronicles. I hope you’re going to enjoy this as much as I do!

Raison d’être

A reason for existing.
The sun sank slowly; getting lost behind the horizon.
The last few rays of daylight were kissing the darkening sky, sinfully, creating a thrilling colour spectacle between all different types of red and orange on the firmament, exposing the stars to the majestic night sky.
Their mother, the moon, already expected them in excitement, since tonight was a special night. The night where her loved children would be send to earth and bring honour and pride to them who deserved it the most.
“And choose wisely” Were her last words, as she sent her youngsters with a good conscience away from their brothers and sisters and their loved home to present a family with the gift of a blessed child.
The magic of the stars are not only bringing honour and pride, no, this would be an insult to their magic! Every star had a lover. Not temporary like those human creatures, never. A star, when its found its soulmate once, would feel it right away and, a beyond the human believes, love would grow for its partner and this love would be for a lifetime.
Down on earth a storm was howling above the lands; making them trees bow, dominated by the wind, being only shadows without their beloved sunlight, while their trunks were cracking loudly under the heavy pressure. A loud, yet melodic howl made its way through the thick gale, calling for its companions.
From one moment to another the sky was lit up brightly. The falling stars were lighting up the dark clouds, as they were searching for their right host, their human, their new home.
Even though this tale, already old as time, true as it could be and you might be a little scared because neither of you prepared, since it’s happening every year unexpectedly. It is just a little change, but also will it never be the same. One day, everyone will find their true love.

Thoughtful his gaze hit the small, in velvet covered, box placed in his hands. It felt like hours, he was sitting in the little cafe, waiting for you to arrive, even though it wasn’t more than 15 minutes yet. You called him ten minutes ago, that you’re gonna be late, since you got stuck in the rush hour, but the longer he waited, the more nervous he got.
You were together since a few years now and after all the time you went trough together, good as bad, he finally wanted to make you his wife. You were the person, he wanted to be with forever. With you he wanted to grow old and be one of these cheesy chlicheé married couples. Everything he never thought of wanting before, he wanted to have it with you, even more and forever.
‘Forever.’ This word sounded so strong and long in his mind, but there wasn’t enough time for him to be with you. For him, nothing could compare to you. Even if you wouldn’t find the edges of the universe together, his love for you would never die.
The thought of waking up beside your glorious sight every morning and stranger people calling you by his surname, created a smile on his lips. With you by his side, he couldn’t be happier.
In one moment to the other, his heart sank. What if you didn’t feel the same? What if you felt the same, but didn’t want to marry him? Or if you just weren’t sure of it yet?
All bad thoughts, he had repressed before were now coming back to his mind caused by his nervousness and the fact that you still weren’t there.
He straightend his back and shook his head, trying to chase the bad thoughts away. He wasn’t chickening out after all this years.
The light door bell of the cafe rang and he looked up, seeing you standing, out of breath, in the door frame searching for him. With an apologetic but still gorgeous smile, as he thought, wearing on your lips, you were slowly walking over to him. Your hair wet from the melted snow, while your make up was only barely existent on your face. But for him, you still were the most beautiful person in the world.
For this night he had planned a lot. First of all, he reserved a table in your favorite restaurant, afterwards he would take you for a walk by the lake and because it was way to cold for a picknick, like he saw it in a movie once, he prepared a thermos and brought some blankets for the both of you, so you could watch the firework of the Christmas festival in silence, were he would finally propose to you. Or he could improvise.
“Y/N..”
His nervousness took over his movement and with he rumble from his chair, he stood up. He went down on his knees and opened the small, in velvet covered, box, showing a small silver ring.
His hands were sweaty and his throat completely dry, as you looked at him with so many emotions in your eyes, he couldn’t quite tell them apart.
“Do you want to marry me?”

Minhyuk was never good with expressing his feelings to a girl. For him, with guys it was way easier to tell them, how you felt, because they understood. But a girl. The opposite sex, was another type of league. Always when he talked to a girl, he was afraid of messing it up. But now, it was even worse.
He forgot how long he was in love with you now, but he remembered that it was even before you both became friends trough a funny coincidence.
His nervousness was coming back, as he saw you walking down the school halls to your locker. Today was his last chance of giving you his Christmas present, since Christmas vacation would start tomorrow and he knew, that you and your family would go to your home country, visiting your grandparents over the holidays.
He took all his courage together and walked over to you, still standing in front of your locker and searching for something. His quiet coughing cought your attention and you immediately started smiling as you saw him standing beside you, wearing an uncertain smile on his face.
“What are you up to?” Your voice was filled with curiosity, as you saw the tiny gift bag in his hands. “I’ve got something for you.” He said and scratched the back of his head slightly, feeling his confidence coming back slowly, after the biggest steps were done. “But I don’t have something for you!” Your lips warped into a sad smile, your voice whiney. “Oh, that doesn’t matter!” He assured you. “Please just take it, okay?” You nodded at his pleasant look and smiled happily. “Thank you very much, Minhyuk.”
A few days passed and he still didn’t get a sign from you, that you had open your present or listened to it. At first, he didn’t know, what he should give you for Christmas at all, because he didn’t want to give you something without a special meaning.
But as he listened to some Christmas carols in the radio, he knew what the perfect Christmas present would be. Your love for Christmas music wasn’t something he didn’t know, so he made you a personal Christmas playlist.
Once he came home from practice again, he heard his home telephone ring and then his mother talking to the other person on the telephone. “Oh, he did?” She asked. “It’s for you, Minhyuk.” She called him over, her voice filled with giggles as she gave her son the telephone, once he approached her. Blushing he took the said object away from his mother and held it onto his ear. “Hello?”
“Hey, It’s me Y/N. I wanted to talk to you-” “Y/N!” He said louder and looked to his mother in panic. She was sipping on her tea, very much enjoying this situation.
“Yeah, heh.. It’s me..” His throat went dry. “About the playlist you made me..”
“Y-Yeah?” He stumbled over his own voice, wanting to punch himself for this.
“There is only Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas on it.” Please, someone save him from his suffering.
“I-I know” You gasped in surprise. “O-Oh, so it wasn’t an accident?” Your uncertain voice was ringing in his ears. “No” He gulped.
You giggled, which made him hiss in confusion. Why were you giggling? Were you laughing at him?
“I’d love to be that person!”

14. December - Santa

For you, nothing was worse than seeing your little brother and sister cry. The problem on this, if you wouldn’t find a solution for your problem in the next thirty minutes it would happen and it would not gonna be easy to calm them down again, after you promised them that Santa would come to your house and visit them. It wasn’t really a problem until one hour ago, where your actual Santa cancelled this appointment, since he was sick. But should you tell your brother and sister? That Santa catched a cold, while he was riding his sled? As more as you were thinking about it, you thought it could work. You shook your head. You promised them to see Santa, so they were going to see Santa.
Mumbling something under your breath, you took out your phone of your jeans pocket and unlocked it, writing a text message to your boyfriend.
You: You know I love you and that you are the best boyfriend on the world?
Jackson: Besides I already know that, it wasn’t my fault.
You: What are you talking about??
Jackson: No, what are you talking about?
You: Would you like to be Santa for one day?
As Jackson arrived, you pulled him quickly inside your apartment so your brother and sister wouldn’t see him, pushing him with a way to large Santa costume into your bathroom. Once he got out, he looked at you, his eyes furrowed.
“That was actually not, what I expected.” He admited, as he was considering his backside in the mirror. “What did you expect?” Now it was your time to furrow your eyebrows, but he quickly shook his head, a slight blush on his cheeks. “Nevermind.” He said, distracting you from what you wanted to ask. “By the way, why do you need me as a Santa anyway?” You groaned.
“I kind of-” But as you tried to explain your situation to him, you were interrupted by your little sister’s screaming. “Santa!” Her little voice was resounding trough your apartment, which caused your little brother to run after her almost immediately.
Once they were standing in front of you, they were looking up at Jackson with big sparkling eyes. Your little brother poked at his belly. “Why are you so skinny? Don’t you eat well?” He asked and Jackson chuckled way more deeply, than he would usually do. “It’s because, I don’t eat cookies until the Christmas season starts.” But they weren’t really paying attention to his answer.

Hours later you and your boyfriend stood in the kitchen, him still wearing the Santa costume, you leaning against the kitchen counter. “Thank you so much for this. You made both of them really happy.” You said with a tired smile on your face. Even if it was very fun, the day was really exhausting. Not only for him, but also for you. “You’re welcome. I really enjoyed it, to be honest.” You chuckled, laying your arms on his brought shoulders. “I saw that.” He smiled and you moved forward to place a soft kiss on his beautiful lips, as you heard a loud gasp, you were breaking apart from each other.
“Y/N kissed Santa!” Your little sister yelled, running away from the scenario. “I wanna be an elven if Y/N is gonna be Mrs Santa Claus!” You heard your brother scream and you two started laughing. “Well, Mrs Santa Claus, I think we should explain this to them.”
“Don’t you dare”
13. December - Stars

With heavy breathing you and Chanyeol were carrying the tree up the stairs to your shared apartment. Once you got trough the door and put the fir-tree down on the floor, you almost collapsed beside it. Your hair sticked to your sweaty forehead and your chest was heavily sinking and lifting. With his typical charismatic grin Chanyeol lent over to you and held his hand out for you to grab it. “Now, we have to decorate.” He spoke, as he run his hand trough his hair, slightly smirking in revenge, as he heard you groaning, because you were the one, who had to unknot the light string from last year. “Can’t we just buy a new one?” He just shook his head at your whining. “Life doesn’t play like that.” He chuckled, what caused you to roll your eyes back in annoyance, because even though you didn’t liked the fact, you knew he was right. “I hate you.” You pouted, as he threw the package with the light string beside you on the sofa and rose his eyebrows. “No, you love me.” You scoffed. “You’re lucky, that you’re cute.”
Once you unknotted the light string, the sun was set and lovely Christmas carols were playing in the background, while you and your boyfriend were decorating the Christmas tree. This was your first Christmas together in your own apartment. All the years before you spent Christmas Eve with your parents, as well as Chanyeol was spending it, when he didn’t have to work, with his family or otherwise with the boys, if they were on tour again. But this year, they finally got a day off over the Christmas season, which meant, even though you are spending Christmas Eve together, his and your family will come over for dinner – which was kind of freaking you out already, since you were afraid that your and his parents won’t get along. It wasn’t like you didn’t like his parents, it was clearly the opposite. The problem were yours. Your parents always were a bit.. complicated. But nothing of this could take you down, because of the thought that you and that brown haired idiot were finally alone again – for Christmas morning you made you smile and giggle like a teenage girl. And on the 26th the boys would come over to celebrate Christmas.
You put your hands on your hips, as you were scanning your decorated tree with sceptical eyes, feeling beside all the lametta and ball ornament, that something was missing. Chanyeol seemed to feel your confusion and poked your side, which made you giggle. “Hey what’s wrong, grumpy?” Indignant you scoffed and playfully slapped his arm, when he tried to tickle you again. “I am not a grumpy!” Loud protesting, you were crossing your arms after you jostled him slightly. But he didn’t even move away from his place. “Seriously, what’s wrong?” He asked again, his smile still on his lips, but his eyes narrowed at your small figure. “There is something missing.” Mumbling under you breath, you didn't expect Chanyeol to understand it properly, but as he did you were surprised, he was holding another small package under your nose with the star for the Christmas tree. “Do you mean this?” Your eyes started to light u in glee. “Yes! Can you put it on?” Instead of putting the star on the top of the tree by himself, he lifted you, like you got no weight, and held you close to the top of your christmas tree. “Why don’t you do it yourself?”

Jooheon’s POV
Can’t she realize that I like her?! For a whole year we have known each other. Since the first day I met her I had feelings for her, but she always treated me like a friend, I almost confessed to her once but she came up that day with a girl I’ve never seen, she said I should go on a date with her, almost every week since a whole month she introduces me girls, but none of them caught my attention, it’s Lea who stole my heart.
Lea’s POV
I enter my appartement, after letting myself fall on my couch I take out my phone. I see that my bestfriend Hana texted me, so I call her immediatly.
-Hey wassup?
-Why didn’t you answer me earlier! My childish bestfriend whines
-I was with jooheon sorry!
-As I thought…Anyways! I’m coming over in 20 minutes!
-WAIT!
She doesn’t even hear me. So here I am waiting for her to come here, I bet the relaxing evening I was expecting is ruined.
My bestfriend comes in without even knocking, she seems excited which scares me.
-We are going to a party!
-No.
-Come on! You need a man, all you do is to try and find some chicks for him! Bow it’s your turn!
-I am exhausted!
-I don’t care! Now let’s get you ready to go!
I sight
After 1 hour I find myself being wrapped in a piece of fabric that my friend calls a dress, my feets are also being torture by incredibly high heels, I carefully have to watch each of my steps so I don’t fall. Hana drives us to some party, first of all I hate parties since I am a teenager
Second of all, wearing heels and a mini dress in the cold feels like hell. But I still manage to let my friend drive us there.
Jooheon’s POV
When I am walking back to my place, I get a call from an old friend.
-Hey Jooheon, I’m in Seoul for a few days how about we meet each other tonight theres a party some friends of mine talked to me about, we could go perhaps?
-Yeah why not!
Joosuk sends me the adress and I jump inside a cab.
He is waitting for me outside.
-Yo man wassup, long time no see huh?
-Yeah I am good and you?
-Yeah things are going on fine, you have a girl?

I tell him the whole story.

We get inside the house, I don’t like parties that much so I make my way to where ever theres is drinks. Then I freeze.
She is there, barely wearing anything…looking like a sex bomb. I guess that girl she has for a bestfriend is the one too blame…but then a guy I never seen grabs her waist. How dare he?! But Lea doesn’t seem to care she lets her touch her body just like as if it is nothing. I open a can of beer and drink it, then follows 3 shooters.
My friend finds me laughing alone with a glass of vodka.
-You drunk?

Joosuk drives me back to my house, he helps me to get inside, all what I can do is get to my bed where I collapse.
I wake up with a headache, after swollowing some pain killers I take a look at my phone, we are december 23, I know Lea is going to piss me off about finding a date, I really don’t feel like dealing with her, since theres not much inside my fridge I decide to take a walk to the grocery store, I leave my phone at home so at least I’ll have an excuse for not answering Lea’s calls.
I walk around the super market, all of a sudden I head a gasp and box fall on the ground. I turn around and see a cute girl, I laugh and helo her pick up her mess.
-You really don’t need too!
-well I had to pass by haha.
- well thank you.
I notice her white cheeks becoming pink, she is flustered. That’s adorable.

2 hours after meeting that girl we are sitting in the same coffee shop where me and Lea usually goes.
Min Ji learns me that she is single and her job is being a photographer.
-I am invited to a christmas party on christmasday, would you go with me, my friend would be really upset if I had to show up alone.
-Yeah I would like too!
At 7 O'clock I am infront of Min Ji’s house, she comes out, I notice how beautifull she looks in her red dress, after opening the door for her I get back in my seat and drive us both to the christmas party.
Immediatly when We walk in people stare at us, surprised that I found a girl to come with me. I spot Lea in the croud, she is wearing a black dress huging her curves all in the right places.
-Is that your bestfriend?
Min Ji noticed I was staring.
-Yeah let’s go say hi.
When we approach her, I recognize the boy who is with her , it’s the same douche from the party, I become really pissed.
-Jooheon hi! Hey who is that!?
-It’s Min ji.
They both talk a bit, and I just stand there with a cold expression on my face.
Lea’s POV
I know something is wrong with Jooheon, so I excuse our self to our date and pull him in the bathroom.
-Tell me what’s wrong?
-Nothings wrong now let’s go back. Jooheon tries to walk out but I stop him.
-NO! Stop thinkinh I am stupid, I know somethings wrong! He seems even more pissed, You can’t be mad at me it’s christmas!

For you, nothing was worse than seeing your little siblings cry. The problem on this, if you wouldn’t find a solution for your problem in the next thirty minutes it would happen and it would not gonna be easy to calm them down again, after you promised them that Santa would come to your house and visit them. It wasn’t really a problem until one hour ago, where your actual Santa cancelled this appointment, since he was sick. But should you tell your brother and sister? That Santa catched a cold, while he was riding his sled? As more as you were thinking about it, you thought it could work. You shook your head. You promised them to see Santa, so they were going to see Santa.
Mumbling something under your breath, you took out your phone of your jeans pocket and unlocked it, writing a text message to your boyfriend.
You: You know I love you and that you are the best boyfriend on the world?
Jackson: Besides I already know that, it wasn’t my fault.
You: What are you talking about??
Jackson: No, what are you talking about?
You: Would you like to be Santa for one day?
As Jackson arrived, you pulled him quickly inside your apartment so your brother and sister wouldn’t see him, pushing him with a way to large Santa costume into your bathroom. Once he got out, he looked at you, his eyes furrowed.
“That was actually not, what I expected.” He admited, as he was considering his backside in the mirror. “What did you expect?” Now it was your time to furrow your eyebrows, but he quickly shook his head, a slight blush on his cheeks. “Nevermind.” He said, distracting you from what you wanted to ask. “By the way, why do you need me as a Santa anyway?” You groaned.
“I kind of-” But as you tried to explain your situation to him, you were interrupted by your little sister’s screaming. “Santa!” Her little voice was resounding trough your apartment, which caused your little brother to run after her almost immediately.
Once they were standing in front of you, they were looking up at Jackson with big sparkling eyes. Your little brother poked at his belly. “Why are you so skinny? Don’t you eat well?” He asked and Jackson chuckled way more deeply, than he would usually do. “It’s because, I don’t eat cookies until the Christmas season starts.” But they weren’t really paying attention to his answer.

Hours later you and your boyfriend stood in the kitchen, him still wearing the Santa costume, you leaning against the kitchen counter. “Thank you so much for this. You made both of them really happy.” You said with a tired smile on your face. Even if it was very fun, the day was really exhausting. Not only for him, but also for you. “You’re welcome. I really enjoyed it, to be honest.” You chuckled, laying your arms on his brought shoulders. “I saw that.” He smiled and you moved forward to place a soft kiss on his beautiful lips, as you heard a loud gasp, you were breaking apart from each other.
“Y/N kissed Santa!” Your little sister yelled, running away from the scenario. “I wanna be an elven if Y/N is gonna be Mrs Santa Claus!” You heard your brother scream and you two started laughing. “Well, Mrs Santa Claus, I think we have something to explain.”

With heavy breathing you and Chanyeol were carrying the tree up the stairs to your shared apartment. Once you got trough the door and put the fir-tree down on the floor, you almost collapsed beside it. Your hair sticked to your sweaty forehead and your chest was heavily sinking and lifting. With his typical charismatic grin Chanyeol lent over to you and held his hand out for you to grab it. “Now, we have to decorate.” He spoke, as he run his hand trough his hair, slightly smirking in revenge, as he heard you groaning, because you were the one, who had to unknot the light string from last year. “Can’t we just buy a new one?” He just shook his head at your whining. “Life doesn’t play like that.” He chuckled, what caused you to roll your eyes back in annoyance, because even though you didn’t liked the fact, you knew he was right. “I hate you.” You pouted, as he threw the package with the light string beside you on the sofa and rose his eyebrows. “No, you love me.” You scoffed at him. “You’re lucky, that you’re cute.”
Once you unknotted the light string, the sun was set and lovely Christmas carols were playing in the background, while you and your boyfriend were decorating the Christmas tree. This was your first Christmas together in your own apartment. All the years before you spent Christmas Eve with your parents, as well as Chanyeol was spending it, when he didn’t have to work, with his family or otherwise with the boys, if they were on tour again. But this year, they finally got a day off over the Christmas season, which meant, even though you are spending Christmas Eve together, his and your family will come over for dinner – which was kind of freaking you out already, since you were afraid that your and his parents won’t get along. It wasn’t like you didn’t like his parents, it was clearly the opposite. The problem were yours. Your parents always were a bit.. complicated. But nothing of this could take you down, because of the thought that you and Chanyeol were finally alone again – for Christmas morning you and that brown haired idiot were finally alone again and on the 26th the boys would come over to celebrate Christmas.
You put your hands on your hips, as you were scanning your decorated tree with sceptical eyes, feeling beside all the lametta and ball ornament, that something was missing. Chanyeol seemed to feel your confusion and poked your side, which made you giggle. “Hey what’s wrong, grumpy?” Indignant you scoffed and playfully slapped his arm, when he tried to tickle you again. “I am not a grumpy!” Loud protesting, you were crossing your arms after you jostled him slightly. But he didn’t even move away from his place. “Honestly, what’s wrong?” He asked again, his smile still on his lips, but his eyes narrowed at your small figure. “There is something missing.” Mumbling under you breath, you didn't expect Chanyeol to understand it properly, but as he did you were surprised, he was holding another small package under your nose with the star for the Christmas tree. “Do you mean this?” Your eyes started to light u in glee. “Yes! Can you put it on?” Instead of putting the star on the top of the tree by himself, he lifted you, like you got no weight, and held you close to the top of your christmas tree. “Why don’t you do it yourself?”

Exhausted his body leaned against the kitchen counter, while he whipped the sticky blood and the dirt from his fingers with a wet towel. Life in a gang was tough, but it wasn’t something, he couldn’t deal with. With you and the gang on his side, he could manage to do everything. A loving smile built on his face, when he thought about you. His beloved wife. Back in the days it wasn’t always easy for the both of you, to convince the gang and his leader of your love to each other, since he was the youngest of his family and Hyungwoo was worried, he could get to distracted with you on his side. Which could bring not only the both of you, but the whole family, in a huge amount of trouble.
With heavy steps he went to your shared bedroom, only to see you cuddled under his blanket, your head snuggled into his pillow. He smiled. You always slept better with his sheets, when he wasn’t able to come home for a few days.
Softly his hand stroked a strand out of your face and placed a short peck on your head, not wanting to wake you in any kind of way.
Leaving his dirty clothes in the clothes basket, he left your bedroom. He took his cigarettes with him, as he went to the balcony. You didn’t like it, when he was smoking inside. The memory of you made him chuckle. Pouting, you had propped your hands on your hips and scolded him for once doing so.
He took his lighter out of his pants, while he glanced trough the window a light blue envelope laying on the couch table. Guided from curiosity his lighter was lost in his pants again and Changkyun went inside. His name written in your beautiful handwriting made him even more curious, as he already was. He could feel the cold sweat on his hands, as he opened the letter.
‘Dear Changkyun’ it started.
‘Before I am going to tell you, why am I writing a letter for you, let me tell you that I never regret loving you and that being your wife is the most I ever wished for, until a few days ago.’ His throat went dry. What happened?

The oversized shirt, you had stolen out of the closet of your husband, stroked your naked thighs, as you went into the kitchen, tying your hair into a messy ponytail. The sun was already up a few hours and even though your bed was incredibly comfy, your tummy was screaming for something eatable. You saw your loving husband sitting on the sofa, your letter in his strong hands. You stopped in your tracks, eagerly waiting for his reaction to show on his concentraded face.
A choked laugh escaped his lips and he covered his eyes with his hand, smiling widely. “Hello Mr. Im.” You said, leaning against the door frame. A shiver went down your skin as Changkyun jumped off the sofa and grabbed your hand. “Is that true?!” His voice full of hope and his eyes sparkled with tears of joy and you nodded.
He kissed your palms, then your forehead and then he went all over your face with excitement. “Changkyun!” You giggled and he stopped, brushing his nose against yours affectionately and layed his hand on your lower body, carefully stroking over your belly.
“You are wonderful.” He whispers, surpressing his tears. Even though he was in a gang, he was a very emotional person. “You both are wonderful.” He pulled you into a tight hug, pressing you against his body. “Thank you so much Y/N..”
11. December - Immortal
Author’s Note: Here we go with the 11th chapter, even though it is one day late again.. I am really sorry for always posting late but I am really busy with school in the moment because we are writing so many exams right before Christmas vacation, even on your last day, we’re gonna write our biology exam and I also have to make a book presentation for my English classes and a presentation about marketing in my economy classes.. Anyway, please enjoy!

Yearningly you were waiting for the night to finally break in.
Your parents had their monthly date night and told you that they probably weren’t coming home until the early hours in the morning. You were finally alone at home again, what meant, that you could see him again.
The man, who caused your little teenage heart to jump, when he was near. Of course you told them, that someone would visit you, but instead of telling your parents the truth, you told them, a friend from school, Harriette, would come to your house, so you both could finish your book project for English Literature classes.
Did you feel bad for lying to your parents? Of course. Would you change it? No. But could they take offense against you? What should you do? Tell them, that their daughter is in love with a more than three hundred years old succubus, who looked like pale version of Leonardo DiCaprio? No. Never in your life would you tell them about your love to Hansol, that’s for sure.
Your dad would probably want to kill him. He would yell at you, saying that he just wanted your blood and your virginity, because 'he had read about stuff like this’. While your mother would start crying at first, but when she has calmed, she would throw you out from home. Emotionally quitting the bond between mother and daughter, but you knew that she could never do it. At least not immediately.
Soft knocking was snapping you out of your dark thoughts, a big smile crept on your face, knowing it was him behind the pane of your window. Opening the said object, after you almost ripped your thick curtains off the frame.
He sat on the small metallic balcony railing of your room, letting the snowflakes sinful dancing around his aristocratic features. His body heat made the small ice cristalls melt on his alabasta like skin, making it shine. He was breathtaking.
Wrapping his arms around you, he pulled you into warm hug. “Oh god, you smell amazing.” He brushed his nose against the crook of your neck, causing you to giggle. You weren’t afraid of his fangs any more. You knew, that he wouldn’t do anything to you when you weren’t okay with it.
Softly caressing your cheek with his thumb, his dark orbs locked with yours, searching for any discomfort or fear in your features like at the first time, he met you. But his gaze met nothing but pure love just for him.
His hot blood was rushing trough his veins, as he felt his body reacting in joy. Never in his long lasting life was someone looking at him like you did. Never felt he so comfortable in his life with any other person, than he did with you. When he was with you, he wanted to change everything for you, to keep you save. You were his, over the hundred of years, missing dawn, his sunshine. His light in his tunnel of darkness. When he was with you, he could forget the terrible things he did in the past and how lonely he was, even though his brothers were always there for him. For you, he would do everything and more. You were his treasure and he would love nothing more than to keep you with him for ever, making you one of his kind, but he couldn’t.
He couldn’t just take everything you loved away from you. Even though he knew, when he would offer you this one opportunity, you wouldn’t say no. He wasn’t sure, if you really understood, what an immortal life as a vampire was keeping hidden. You would learn to miss the simple things in life. The rising morning sun, the sweet taste of a strawberry, or your reflection in the mirror. But seeing you living your own life, him staying at his age, you getting older, wanting to marry and all of it not with him? You could just as well ram a peg trough his heart immediately. No, a life without you wasn’t an option for him. And he knew, if you were just feeling a tiny bit like he did, you couldn’t accept it yourself.
Your love was his light from heaven and he would prefer living a mortal life with you, than an immortal life without you.
10. December - Starlight

Silently you were sitting on the veranda of your family house, very interested in not wakening your parents, the sun long lost behind the horizon.
Today, the clear night sky was showing off his children, shining so bright, you didn’t remember they ever did before.
Quietly were you observing how the starlight was dancing with the, on top of the mountains laying snow and them underneath laying, in snow covered, crowns of the trees and the old forest they belonged to. What interesting history would the threes tell you, if you would be able to understand their language? And what would the wind whisper you, if you just would be able to listen? You'd never know.
The time was passing by and every time you were breathing out, a small haze cloud would get visible. You shivered, feeling the nature heat of your body slowly leaving, while you were waiting.
Finally, a single rustle in the bushes of your backyard took your attention.
“Hani?” your voice thin and uncertain compared to the dark night.
You jumped on your feed, as you saw the creature, elegant and silver as the moon itself moving out of the dark green leaves of the bushes it was hiding in.
Immediately the cold snow touched your bare feet and you were rushing to the now human looking like creature standing in your backyard.
Her silver hair was shimmering in the moonlight, slightly brushing over the pure looking white naked skin of her shoulders, her ears twitching in amusement as she saw the excitement in your eyes.
She knew, that it was dangerous for her to come so near to the village, especially right after a girl was confirmed as a wolf lover and the major, your father, opened the hunting season. Even though as a fox spirit, Hani was much smaller than a wolf or any other supernatural creature living in the forest, she had to be very careful and that you knew.
But if loving a fox spirit wasn’t enough, it had to be a woman.
For you, as a woman yourself, it wasn’t allowed to show more affection to a woman than a mother would to her daughter and even this could be too much for the village people.
As the daughter of the major you knew, loving a person from the same sex was one of the biggest crimes you could do in this world. It was right under being a lover of a supernatural creature or a murderer.
You felt your heart clenching, as you saw Hani trying to smile but it wasn’t reaching her usually always joyful eyes.
“Please, just come with me..” She whispers, her voice thin while tears started streaming down her usually almost glowing cheeks. But you shook your head. You couldn’t do it now..
“No..”
“Why?” She chuckled dryly.
“Hani, you know why!” You whined, feeling your tears building up. You knew that it was hurting her as much it was hurting you, but still.. as much as you wanted to go with her, you weren’t able to do it now.
Softly she took your hand in hers and kissed your palm. “I have to go now.” She told you and you nodded, not being able to feel your feet anymore because of the snow.
“I love you.” You whispered, leaning your forehead against hers.
“I love you too.”

A gun shot was making you jump out of your bed. It was very loud, so it couldn’t be very far away from the village.
You put on your dressing gown, as you run out of your parents house into the backyard, seeing a handful of hunters coming out of the forest.
“Ohh, Lady Y/N, what a pleasure!”
“For gods sake, Lady Y/N, where are your clothes?”
But you weren’t listening, running as fast as your legs were able to, straight into the forest. The sharp ends of the branches were reaching out for you and tugging at your clothes. The cold wind hit your face with such force, that it started to feel numb. But you couldn’t care less.
All what you were able to think about was Hani.
A pained scream left your body, as you saw the dead body of the fox spirit, laying on its side motionless.
Her usually silver fur stained with blood.
Your eyes were burning and your sight was blurry by your tears, that started running down your cheeks. Loud sobbing suffused the forest with choked cries and you pressed the dead body to your chest, stroking the sticky fur.
Your heart was ripping apart.
How were human able to do such things? Killing other creatures, because they are scared! How were they able to look at themselfs?!
You weren’t moving out of your huddling position, even once you felt a hand laying on your shoulder.
“Y/N..” You heard someone say, but you weren’t reacting. You didn’t want to see this person. Whoever it was, they could never bring you back.
You would never forgive your father, or the village, for doing something barbaric like this.
“Y/N.” The voice said again, shaking you slightly.
With narrowed eyes you turned around. “Wha-” You cut yourself off.
Hani was standing right in front of you, smiling like she usually did, while tears were streaming down her face.
In panic, you crept back, shaking your head furiously “No, you are dead!” You screamed, pulling your legs to your chest and ruffled your hair. “You are not real!”
A hand softly touched your head and you looked up in shock. There was standing Hani, right in front of you. Her skin as white as snow and her hair shining silver, like the moon itself. If she wasn’t real, she wouldn’t be able to touch you.
“Hani..”
“I have more than one life, you idiot..”
