It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ananda Lewis, beloved former MTV VJ, talk show host, and advocate, and one of our fav OG IT GIRL who transitioned at the age of 52 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

She wasn’t just a pretty face, Ananda inspired a generation with her brilliance, style, authenticity, and unwavering commitment to empowering women—especially Black women—to prioritize their health and voices.

Ananda Lewis was THAT GIRL.
