Anyways a little random rant i didn't see online much ;

Im a bit disappointed jax abstracts without ever facing gangle and or feeling remorse for her , I don't like gangle all that much- and im a jax kinnie and even i was like " wait that's it ?"

Like idk ,i get that it's more realistic to jaxs character but also i expected to see more of gangle in his flashbacks

The only real memory he had of her was naming her and the purpose of it was to show him becoming cruel rather than any form of guilt

I think the jax part was done really REALLY well, it never makes him redeemed nor not redeemed it's very human- so it only makes me more disappointed at how underdone gangle felt , it's not like she was badly written or neglected it just felt ... incomplete?

They keep getting so close to the truth, but haven't pieced together that there's no reason to trust the flashback light.

I know I say it all the time but.

People don't go to their own funerals if they're trying to fake their deaths.

It just gets me because they never actually land on that as proof the memories are false (if I remember correctly).

Though also the inconsistencies of the Mech Bomb thing and the production team suddenly dropping the ball hard in Season 53 by giving Miu the tech gear to just... break everything is honestly baffling to me? Like... they've been running these games for a while. These are rookie errors. Both in terms of game design and their memories not holding up.

I enjoy the game but like... I am going to pay a lot of attention to the Chapter Six reveal. But also this is still better than DR2's inconsistencies (yes I went there, DR2 is my least favourite in the series).

PT2. KOKICHI V3 HEADCANNONS

This post is building heavily on old headcannons post so make sure to read that first ! HEADCANNONS POST

What's happening in the drawing itself is that Kokichi was trying to cut off his hair in order to not look like his in-game self and got caught by someone 🔎

As you know I HC pregame kokichi as a blonde he ends up dying his hair black even before the game starts, narratively i wanted to show that he lies so much that he'd lie about something so unconventional such as his hair color , however the in universe reason is that his pregame self wanted to blend in , Japan is known for conformity and pregame Kokichi had wanted to blend in so he looks unsuspecting, and so that no one from his old life could regocinise him at a quick glance .

My pregame kichi is still a liar but he mostly lies to himself about who he is and what he wants .

And team danganropa took note of that and decided to keep the black hair for his in-game look as narrative story telling, they also made his primary color palette purple as it's opposite of yellow .

in my hc kokichis purple is a PR choice

However in game kokichi is more himself than pregame kokichi

He claims to have lied to himself about enjoying the killing game however the very fact that he knew it was a lie means he knew the truth about himself and his motives thus, in-game kokichi only lies to people not himself

That's why post game Kokichi is conflicted on who he truly is, but that's the irony because there is no truth to ouma kokichi

~ authors personal thoughts incoming; i tend to hate when people try to get rid of kokichis lies and or make him only lie harmless lies when he's " healed" sure it's more healthy but it just reduces a characters complexity, it just makes him boring,which just betrays the entire character of kokichi ouma yk ~

Kokichi would 100% force suichi to watch hydraulic press videos, iykyk

I'd like to imagine that suichi hates horror movies because the extreme gore is unimaginative , he also dislikes murder mysteries because he always ends up immediately guessing the murderer and just sits there bored the entire time- he hates movies in general he prefers documentaries

Same for Kokichi he just thinks the extreme gore is boring, but he kinda likes watching characters react to pressure so he's less annoyed
