ah, the constraints of 3rd person limited strike again. Dick and Jason are allowed to have their own paramour(s); however, they're supposed to be respectful to Tim (e.g. if they have a lover, keep a separate apartment or house for them). They could theoretically marry a beta or alpha while still being mated to Tim. As Tim's main alpha, Bruce can't legally marry or mate someone else. I'm hoping with the background laid previously in the Jay and JayTim fics in the series that it comes across that Jason's attraction to Tim is building as he gets to know him. I went back and forth on whether it was a 0.5 gel pen like the Uni-ball Signo, but I think the line variation leans more to the fountain pen as does the slight bleedthrough. Looks like a steel nib since I'm not seeing a lot of flex (though you might just have a lighter touch when writing).

That's very kind, thank you. I'm old enough that cursive was earnestly taught as a necessary life skill at my elementary school. And you're correct, it's a fountain pen I received as a gift about two and a half decades ago, a simple Rotring. The company doesn't make them anymore but they're quite reasonable on Ebay. The paper is 105 GSM, iirc, so rather thick compared to the majority of journaling paper nowadays. I was tired of being able to read the last page through the current page!

I would say Bruce didn't fully decide to ship Tim to Jason's until a certain alarm went off when a little mouse was sniffing around again...protecting access to secrets sealed the deal. As for safety with Jason, Jason's self-evaluation is not reliable. I defer to something Dick said about him in Acquisitions: “Not sure if you’ve noticed, but he doesn’t trust us still, let alone himself. Not fully. Tell him whatever you want. The only way he’s going to believe us is if we show him.” Bruce's own take on Jason is in the same story, and he tells Jason to his face he doesn't think he will harm Tim. Is he right?

(As for the boobytraps, Jason comes by that particular response to paranoia honestly: the Cave and the Manor have hidden surprises, too!)

In #TTT, is Themyscira off limits to alphas? Alphas and betas? All men regardless of designation? Some other sort of combination? etc. Since JL has been mentioned, I'm just curious what Wonder Woman and the Amazons would be in this universe.

I have been thinking about this quite a bit even prior to this ask because of Reasons. I want things to be logical so they do have a/b/o designations because although they aren't humans they are still Earthlings, however, a/b/o is about as culturally relevant in Amazonian life as hair color is to us. (And if the logic is followed, this means someone like Clark isn't anything, since he's not an Earthling.) Gender is still their main concern, and men are not allowed generally in Themyscira. (Bana-Mighdall is being rebuilt and has different rules.)

My reading speed can be a little slow when I take antihistamines so I got inordinately excited when I saw your Jay and Dick post because you said, "i know he [Jay] also gets pegged" and I was all hell yeah he does! and then the sentence continued and it was a different kind of getting pegged. Not that I disagree with the whole sentence! But the first half really sizzled.

I think #TTT Jason would/does love getting pegged especially by a big strong lady he likes and trusts for reasons both carnal and traumatic.

Is Tim's hurt toe a metaphor in Timtamtom? Like Tim doesn't quite fit yet in the Batfam just like the shoes aren't broken in yet so there's this discomfort/blister. Yes, when I originally jotted that down it was along the lines of Tim breaking in the shoes Bruce bought him because none of his are nice enough for the wardrobe he's got now. I didn't explicitly ponder further than that re: Tim's jerry rigged solution, but I love your thinking and will now tell anyone that was on purpose, too!

P.S. Speaking of subtext and because I want to mention it somewhere, in "Feared Symmetry" the symmetries are Tim:Tiger, Tim:Steph, Tim:Damian presented in order of Tim's awareness of how he is like them: unaware (captive-born tiger), hidden (Steph, because he thinks she's a beta), and acknowledged (Damian, who Tim sees himself in).

I've been working through technical problems (I'm waiting for my BYOK and my new laptop and otherwise piecemealing my workflow together since my laptop is dead).
