🔥⚡🚨⭐💥🎉Hi all! Update time – so, as you may already know, I have been a full-time early years teacher for the past 15 years. In the last five years specifically, I joined a high-paying but high-intensity school that has burnt me out completely. It became harder and harder over these past years to teach and also maintain a presence on social media, make art, make content, maintain a website, respond to messages and so on. I’m still a solo owner and operator of this small business – it’s all me!  In the end there was only one conclusion: a break was in order.

And so, I’ve quit full-time teaching and will be working fully from home this year! I will still teach but only online and for much shorter hours, giving me the time and headspace I need to continue all the creative projects I’ve been stuck on for so long! Some cool things to look forward to: I have another collaboration with Colouring Heaven coming up, I will be working on and completing my Chibi Tarot minor arcana series, and I will be more active sharing coloring tips and tricks, hopefully hosting coloring contests with prizes just like in the old days! I am also trying to join a Motion Graphics course to get some new skills going and maybe make my YouTube channel more exciting!

Thanks so much to everyone who has supported my work over the years, and thanks to anyone who may be a newer follower! You all make it possible for a girl like me to have her dreams of working from home finally come true! It is a very weird feeling knowing all my teacher friends have started school again, and seeing Tiktok Teachers showing off their new classroom setups and all, but I know I am on the right path. Wish me luck!

Here's some of the linearts from @yampuff 's book "Carousel Dreams" I colored.

First of all, a carousel horse inspired by Steven Universe's "gem warrior" mother Rose Quartz.

This carousel horse was based on this passage from Peter S. Beagle's novel The Last Unicorn:

"The unicorn lived in a lilac wood, and she lived all alone. She was very old, though she did not know it, and she was no longer the careless color of sea foam but rather the color of snow falling on a moonlit night. But her eyes were still clear and unwearied, and she still moved like a shadow on the sea."

A cupcake carousel pony

A long-abandoned carousel lion which was apparently replaced by a horse and forgotten afterward. Hopefully someone will see it and restore it to its former glory.

A beautiful girl and her carousel pony (She said it started out as a random sketch she did for fun and relaxation, but she decided to make it a lineart anyhow.)

A sea-pony (or if you prefer "hippocampus")

A chibi-fied version of a unicorn (I thought she looked like Rarity from Hasbro's My Little Pony, so I gave her those colors.)

A ponified version of a 1980s fitness instructor...and yes, it was a very colorful decade back then.

And speaking of the 1980s, here's another colorful horse from that era: Rainbow Brite's horse Starlite made into a carousel horse. (Wonder how that will affect his ego?)
