yanagi-and-hoshi :: yanagi means willow. hoshi means star. with yanagi appearing above nuriko’s heart and hoshi appearing on the left side of hotohori’s neck, these two have more in common besides having unrequited love from their priestess.

This is a highly selective, semi-private, low/medium activity duo RP Blog featuring Hotohori + Nuriko from Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play.

This blog will have some mature themes depending on the universe these two are in. Mainly when it comes from their own series seeing as these two are fighters who are destined to protect the Priestess of Suzaku. I will probably be leaning towards a modern verse for these two unless other characters from FY appear, which will probably lead me to RPing in Ancient China.

This is also a low/medium activity blog mainly as not many people know of the series that well with it being a 90s anime. Besides that, I am crossover and multiverse friendly! OCs are welcomed on the blog!

Looking up and down at the instructions his mother gave him, making sure he got on the right train,Ryuuen groaned as he felt lost in such a small town. "Of course, this would give me more issues than not." He just got off the train, relieved he even got to Inaba before the sunset, and knew he wouldn't be able to get back home this evening.

Which even sucked a lot more in a place he knew nothing about. Walking towards the town, and following the sidewalk into Inaba, he heard his stomach rumbling for food--forgetting that an apple and trail mix wasn't enough to fill him up for this trip--and flopped down on a nearby bench. "I need to get myself some food, first. Can't think on an empty stomach."

Inaba seemed to have a tendency to make others overestimate, whether it was the distance or the atmosphere. Alternatively, the moment she had decided to step into the shoes of a detective, the world decided that it would throw every conceivable event it could. “Are you all right...?” She raised a brow as she asked, a sign that she already knew what the answer was. “I don’t believe you’re a local.”

Turning on his heels, Ryuuen looked over to his right and noticed a finely dressed teenager. "I knew I stuck out like a sore thumb, but not this sore." He crossed his arms, eyeing the teen up and down, noticing something was off, but couldn't place his finger on what it was.

"I just got off the train a few minutes ago--I was actually trying to find the textile shop, but I guess a small town like this still confuses a city boy like me." Ryuuen explained, pushing his hair out of his face as a breeze pushed through them. "There are barely any signs around to guide people."

Fresh air was what Ryuuen needed. Badly. Because being in the city and being a model made everything feel stifling and choking him. And being out in the open and taking a walk just brought him back to better times with his family.

And just seeing someone tripping and hitting their shoulder roughly on the ground even made him wince in pain. So, he knew he had to jump in and help--Ryuuen hated to see people in pain. Leaning down to clean up the blood, he began to dab their shoulder tenderly and carefully.

"Well, I know how sisters can be, so no need to apologize." Ryuuen grinned, moving the tissue off of their shoulder and tilting his head. "Too bad I don't have antibiotic cream but..." Ryuuen reached into his fanny pack, noticing his cell phone, chapstick, and a few bandages dug deep down. "...you did get yourself pretty good. Let me at least help you."

Pulling out a small bandage, Ryuuen got on his knees, not caring he was getting his blue jeans dirty--everything will eventually wash off--and once it was open, he placed it gently on their shoulder. "Sisters always seem to be full of energy and want to tug us along for the ride, huh? Looks like you got the short end of the stick."

((I made a note in the RULES about the guys.

Basically, if you are RPing with Nuriko, he will go by his birth name Chou Ryuuen until his memories are back as Nuriko. The same with Hotohori: he will go by Saihitei Seishuku (Sai for short [depends if he's okay with that nickname]) until his memories are back as Hotohori.

I was debating on this for a while and thought that it would make sense until their memories are brought back. And it also depends on who they are interacting with, too.))
