8 months ago i quit my “dream” job to pursue bigger things (especially since i figured i hated it)
Here I am now, directly in charge of short of a million dollars in inventory, overseeing the movement of thousands of dollars of product all over the world, dealing with employees, some of which I have never ever met other than a voice on the other side of a phone, developing products and controlling supply chain/purchasing, directly dealing with federal regulators, running a damn fucking company that should be dozens of employees heavy condensed to myself, my vp of sales, a heavily abusive managing member, fuck i feel like throwing up....
i’m stressed the fuck out. i’ve never been so stressed in my life. if there is a breaking point, i test that limit every day. I really do not think I can talk to anyone about this, or at least in my own circle, as i don’t think anyone will understand the magnitude of pressure i undergo from the second i open my eyes to the second my brain allows me to shut off for the glorious 4/5 hours a night.
yeah this could make me millions in the foreseeable future, but fuck is this shit worth it? is sacrificing my relationships, my family and friends worth it? i know i am becoming someone i don’t want to be, not the pleasant person i once was. putting so much other shit on hold for this, but for what? money?
i need to think of an exit plan, plan b. or i could just quit.

When I am in 2015
When I’m driving down 280, I think of the freeways of Sao Paulo. When I’m looking at the city skyline, I think of the skyscrapers of Shanghai. When I’m enjoying a cup of tea, I think of the mountain village near Taipei. When I’m sitting in the pews of church, I think of the millions of Catholics that converge in Cebu for Sinolog. When I’m enjoying a good steak, I think of my friend in Santiago. When I’m enjoying a drink and good music, I think of the evenings in Rio and the people of Salvador. When I partake in a hike, I think of the snow capped ranges north of Tokyo.
It’s been great. Thank you God and all the powers that be that have made everything awesome up to today... It’s a new year and I think it’ll be a different one. Let it all be as challenging and even more rewarding as all the previous ones.
Truth is, I am very comfortable by myself.

A Brief History of Particles Zoo
A data-visualization poster realized for Density Design Lab at Poliecnico of Milano. It depicts the timeline of Standard Model’s particles discoveries during time, starting from the Electron in 1894 and ending (for the time being) with the Higgs Boson in 2012. The timeline is shaped as a section of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN: the form recalls the content. Every particle is represented with its own features, such as electric charge or mass. Moreover, the particles inside the timeline interact following Feynman’s diagrams rules.
