There is something significant about Alastor saying there are no friends in hell (buddies still pending) and Husk and Niffty both being saved by their friends. In S2E8 during the second trio fight, Cherri knocks Valentino down while Husk holds him still after having been thrown across the room and Niffty is shown stumbling three times and looking panicked before Baxter hacks Velvette's second power source. In the most basic sense this telegraphs that Husk and Niffty have already been shown how impactful these new people in their lives are and these two helped them survive in a fight Alastor wasn't around for. Hmmm.

There was even the implication that Cherri has become so close to Husk that he made her the 2 in his deck. She comments that he "stole her move" by using his exploding dice at the end. But its the idea of her being the 2 of hearts that would really symbolize the way she's important to Husk.

When Husk throws his cards you can see the king, an ace, and a jack and we know now from the art book that the cards show references to the rest of the trio with Alastor being the king, Niffty being the queen, and Husk making himself the Jack of all trades. When his Jack gets through at the end it flips into a 2 of hearts and is the final blow that knocks Valentino's final gun away.

This was first pointed out by @pomegranate-pancake in this fantastic post! As well as @greatblueturaco points! The fact that you caught this before the art book will always blow my mind, so good!! Knowing how firm his deck reflects the radiotrio now I think this is even more possible. While the card just shows a two, it fits with the imaginary of a cherry and how Cherri is the additional friend he got through Angel that he didn't expect.

When the topic becomes about racism between children you very quickly realise children of colour aren't seen as children but as some other thing that should just take the abuse and then forgive the Real White Children because they didn't know better. They don't understand it but children of colour can and will very early in their youth.
