personally I am of the opinion that vegans who are like “the way our food system currently works under capitalism on a large scale is exceptionally cruel to all animals including humans and is not sustainable, so I’m doing what I can to make the most ethical choices available to me about what I eat and encourage others to do the same” are generally very reasonable people who I agree with in spades. but vegans who seem to think human beings are not themselves animals who are ultimately also part of the food chain but instead some kind of other paternalistic higher entity that can never engage in ethical and sustainable hunting practices (and especially the fringe I’ve seen who think other carnivorous animal predators are also evil and need to be eliminated) are people I regard as foolish at best if not actively anti-indigenous and racist

okay yay :) 19: do I have a favorite very specific hockey stat? yes and it’s that ARD has the most penalty minutes of any goalie in the league #mycriminal and also that gwyn is the only goalie so far to get a penalty in the playoffs (but she can do some crime if she wants because lord knows her defense is not defending her ever) and 25: my favorite thing about watching hockey is when you are at a game and your team is behind and then they claw it back for a win. for instance the sarah fillier natural hatty against the frost that was CRAZY. or when I went to a game with my friend and he started rooting for the sceptres halfway through because they were in the lead and then the sirens won and I got to make fun of his fair-weather fan behavior letting him down while my steadfast support of my terrible team paid off. and also of course because I AM a hater: when everyone boos when curl has the puck. warms my heart. especially in montreal games, their haterism is so delicious

hiii okay so 1) I got into hockey in I think this past december?? maybe january??? it was before the takeover tour line brawl at least because I remember seeing that and being so annoyed that I had to teach and hadn’t caught that game. and it was via my longtime mutual from before we both got obsessed with the PWHL @emi--rose whose liveblogging compelled me and also via videos of Abby Roque doing crimes on my tiktok fyp :) I ❤️ my criminals. and also that post about Laura Stacey that goes around on here about MPP wooing her under the stars etc etc. and 11) hmmmm for Victoire maybe a little bit of gold to make it fancy? I think their color scheme is pretty much perfect to be honest, I really like it. and for my Sirens I would give them a little bit of red as a teeny tiny accent color as a nod to the color of actual siren lights and also the emoji we all use for them 🚨🚨🚨

11 for the hockey ask??

I just answered this one for Victoire and Sirens but I will continue with more teams that aren’t my two faves because I have opinions. I think the Charge need something to make them look less like the Flames (WHY are the logos and color schemes so much the same????) so I think they should add in a darker color like a deep, deep burgundy or maybe black. also because when my sister and I were watching the playoffs with my four-year-old niece, she couldn’t tell that “the red team” was not the Victoire when they were playing at Ottawa and so she kept rooting for the Charge instead 😭 and also I HATE the Sceptres color scheme and I think they should add a light blue to it and change their main blue to a nicer cobalt shade. I HATE their current blue and yellow situation and it vexes me. pick nicer shades of those colors PLEASE. and finally, this is not a team, but I think the PWHL should change their brand’s color scheme because it’s too much like the Frost’s colors, I think the league should have a color scheme that isn’t shared by one of the teams
