niche localish drama: a vintage shop left two big ass rugs rolled and crumpled up on their sidewalk/stairwell for a long stretch of time, a girl saw them at 3 am and stooped them because they were, you know, crumpled up on the fucking sidewalk at 3 am with no signage no nothing, and the vintage shop (which, BY THE WAY, is run by a woman who 1) moved to the city last year and 2) sources her vintage shit BY STOOPING and via facebook marketplace) called the fucking cops and the news to find the "thief" who stole "$4000 worth of rugs" like girl please be serious. would've been sooooo easy to just be like "hey, we think this person misunderstood, can you please return these rugs" but they just went STRAIGHT to the cops and now everyone and their mother is hating on them and they've absolutely nerfed their reputation
