many don’t know this, but when you’re desperately on a time crunch to finish your dissertation and you’re stressed as fuck about the job market/the fact that you only got assigned one class in the fall and so you have to find other employment so you don’t actively run out of money/finishing your dissertation when your executive function is in the toilet due to mental health conditions that you literally cannot afford to fix because of the aforementioned one course and no pay over the summer either and you want to kill yourself, it is the perfect time to start reading an absolutely massive and depressing 19th century novel
