or something, idk. This is my fiber arts blog! I'm on ravelry, where I occasionally put out some free patterns.

You can find things I've made tagged #mine. I can crochet, knit, needle felt, sew, etc etc etc. Thus goes the way of people who get really into yarn and thread.

I really like chickens. #yarn chicken is my tag for various chickens depicted in some kind of fiber art medium.

nothing makes me feel as demotivated as trying to sew on a machine. genuinely I feel like no matter how much I practice I'm in beginner sewist hell like I don't get any better at it!!!!!! i make the same mistakes over and over, and I'm constantly handsewing parts that the tutorial can do effortlessly on the machine. and like YouTubers obviously never show the part where they fiddle with clips and pins for 20 minutes so I don't know what I'm doing wrong!!!

it doesn't help that you can exactly "frog" fabric, seam ripping takes forever, and it leaves noticable damage behind.

and then sometimes you look up specific tutorials to help you with one of those situations where you can never do it right, like aligning two differently curved pieces with the same circumference, and the first result is a blog post suggesting a $16 glue stick (shipping not included)(affiliate link)

and the thing is. the thing is I don't even think the affiliate link posters are wrong, a $30 pack of clips and a $25 dollar basting spray and a $60 cutting kit and a $16 glue stick and a $10 marking pen and [truncated for length] probably would help me enjoy the process more. but maybe im not trying to spend $140 and maybe I don't have the space for that and maybe people have been sewing for millenia without a fancy machine that cuts fabric for you!!

My summer project for myself is to make a collection of 16 of these embroidered thimble rings (called kaga yubinuki), these are my first 2 ^^

Hako Honkajuuri, my husbands DnD character as a needle felted doll..!

Rambling about materials and stuff under cut 💚

I wanted to see if it's possible to make a doll like this with needle felting and it seems it is indeed!

He's still work in progress, he will get pants and possibly some contouring on face and other touch-ups, but I still couldn't resist to have a little photoshoot with the little hare guy..!

It's been great to work with natural materials, wool, leather and glass, definitely want to keep this up in future works too, when I can..!

Hako has painted glass eyes, hand sewn cotton tunika with tea-stained wool trims and leather belt (with functioning metal buckle), arm guards and cauldrons, all by yours truly..! 💚

A ~beautiful~ KNITTED realistic fennec fox!!

This was my most complicated project yet! I worked on it continuously for weeks! It had A LOT of picking up stitches, which I have found I'm not very good at! lol

this pigeon purse has been on my favorites list a bit, and I found the perfect recipient for this bag so I absolutely had to make it!

i modified the instructions a tiny bit by mirroring the increases/decreases for the panels, turning one wing into an extra pocket, and embroidering the iris instead of crocheting it.

Spring arrived and I pulled out my 70s bedsheets dress. Mcall's 7969 without gathered sleeves and a fuller skirt. I created the appliqué flowers, one of which is a pocket.

Galo showed up to the park ready to make new friends. But the local roosters took one look at him and said, “Absolutely not, sir. We know an imposter when we see one.” 🐓😂

He tried his best to fit in. He strutted confidently, pecked at the grass, and even practiced his best rooster pose. But the boys weren’t sticking around long enough to hear him out. Poor Galo, just wanted acceptance. Honestly though, I wouldn't mind hanging out with this handsome crochet rooster, would you?
