And in the span of a day! I didn’t pay attention to class and went full hail on knitting again.
I don't normally post my knitting, but given that this is relevant to my fandom interests: here's the Lan Wangji/Gusu Lan themed jumper I made for my friend ! Feat. me trying to remember what a triple crochet is for the cloud 😂
y'all like my other knitting memes, so I made more

So i posted the Gusu Lan jumper separately and it reminded me that I could actually share my knitting here, too! So here are the 4 jumpers I’ve made so far this year 😊

just because this deserves its own post:
dressmakers, tailors, cosplayers, historical costumers, and generally any people who sew are artists
people who work with fiber (knitting, crocheting, etc.) are artists
embroiderers are artists
weavers are artists
lacemakers are artists
shoemakers are artists
leatherworkers are artists
textile, clothing, and fiber arts are still art forms, even though they’ve historically been devalued in many societies
credit. all. artists.

Grabbed this from a cross stitch group I am in on FB. This applies to so many things not just cross stitch. Gate keepers on any art be it needle or fiber arts are terrible. Don’t let the nasty words of other turn you away from a craft you love. Support and encourage each other, no matter the time of the season. We all had to start somewhere!
Hobby Lobby just released some new yarn designs - unsurprisingly they stole designs by a few different indie dyers, including lemonade shop, who’s been working on her speckled designs and rainbow splash color runs for a while (lemonade shop yarn is left, hobby lobby is right) :
She’s not the only designer they’ve stolen unique fiber patterns from, and the indie dyer community is reaching out to a few more dyers with very singular designs that hobby lobby has also taken, so I’ll try to update the list as I can.
Stolen art is stolen livelihood. Please support artists, small time crafters and creators as you can, and if you recognize someone else’s yarn in the hobby lobby release, be sure to include them and a link to their store. There isn’t much else that they can do to fight this unfortunately.
