yogi’s parents were teenagers when he was born. super reckless duo. kinda like the druggies of school tbh and accidentally had the treasure that is yogi bae.
not at all surprisingly, they struggled trying to raise them without much assistance from his mother’s grandparents. they sucked and only a year into yogi existing his dad took off at eighteen and never looked back.
very frustrated and annoyed her senior year was getting Totally Ruined by a baby, yogi was given to his father’s parents instead.
he immediately formed a very close relationship with his grandma. his grandpa was an entirely different story. things were tense, and with how sensitive yogi could get, his grandpa Hated It and was constantly attempting to push him away from always being in his feelings.
yogi was pretty quiet as a kid. he usually kept to himself and tried not to bother anyone. was very distracted with creating his own comic books with godawful storylines because he loved drawing.
got more and more talkative as he got older. now he deadass never shuts up. on god can talk about fifteen topics in under a minute he’s so stressful.
( death tw ) his grandfather passed away his senior year and his grandma got significantly ruder towards yogi as he attempted to help her mourn. their relationship got super strained as she talked down to him and rly... lowered his self esteem a whole lot ( convinced him he wasn’t good enough to be loved by ppl , etc., ) but he still?? loves her a lot and would do anything for her. calls her pretty much every single day and tries to only be loving despite how much she’s hurt him at this point.
very caring!!! definitely the one to call when you’re feeling down. he’s very loving and soft tbh he just has a very big heart and has no idea what to do with it.
has a lot of trust issues but??? doesn’t really realize it fully?he doesn’t recognize some of his actions as him being emotionally damaged by his parents giving him up/him never really getting to know them.
god.... don’t date him. don’t like him. don’t do that to yourself. he’s so loving and caring one second nd then he’s finding every reason to destroy the relationship or see it as something bad. he’s terrified of being with someone he ends up not being in love with forever and also doesn’t know how to let himself have good things so he ends up pushing the good away and clinging to very bad things for him. this makes him hurt a lot of people because he’s stupid KJGSKGJSKDJG but also will say he’s in love in three days. he’s so much please.
