“It sounds like you need a break.” She glanced down at the mountains of paper. “DNA samples are above my pay grade. A drink with a friend? That I can do.”

Jemma knew she needed to rest. She wasn’t entirely sure when the last time she really, truly slept was. She nodded her head slowly- maybe sleep would help answer some questions. There were several theories that sleep helped the brain process information, after all. “I think you’re right.” She admitted with a sheepish look on her face. 

“Oh, I am. It’s one of my many good traits. What brought you down here in the first place?” Elena finished the job of lowering herself to the ground so that she and Jemma were level. She appreciated her friend even if she couldn’t always understand where her mind was spiraling. They would always be different in that way.
