I very rarely speak about such things as mental health. But I do have something to say.

Living with BPD and ADHD isn’t an aesthetic. It’s not cute. It’s not an excuse. It nearly destroyed me before I got help. I see so many people throwing these labels around casually, and I just want to say—please be mindful and respectful. Mental disorder isn't a carnival costume one can put on and off. It's a real, painful struggle, not a make-up.

I'll get shit for this, but i don't care. I'm just exhausted seeing myself shut out from cReaTorS though my skills are no worse than the others', the shows I gif are no worse or better than others' shows.

The more I look at tumblr's gifmaking and gifmakers and such, the more I realize that it's now turned into this clique-esque fandom of its own. I probably didn't want to believe it but the more I look, the more it makes sense.

Why do we even have some iMpOrTanT users we need to tag in order to make our gifs seen?

It's always been this: you tagged your set with tv shows, characters, my posts and off it went.

We have lots of seemingly cool groups dedicated to various things. But guess what? They keep reblogging only their mutuals or certain style of gifs. And that's cool but why do you guys promote yourself as open and supportive to all creators when in reality same gifs, same shows keep circulating over and over?

And the giffing trends? If you don't create some complex edits, you aren't in the trend and it apparently makes you a lesser gifmaker.

I can't make a difference on my feed anymore. Everything looks the same, text overlaps across half of the faces, transitions keep repeating themselves, even colouring is the same.

I'm not envy of the skill - I can reproduce most of those trends. I'm pissed that this hobby I used to love has turned into some elitist pissing contest, who gets to use Adobe After Effects for the gif, who gets to use 3D for the gif...

Where is the fucking joy of capturing the characters you love and admiring their lines or hell, objectifying the fuck out of them?

It's super frustrating and I'm sure I'll get now the usual "you're jealous" and all this. Yeah, I'm jealous of the simpler times and equal opportunities for folks on Tumblr.

I’m in the mood for philosophy and associations today. And you thought I’m just making gifs? Nah, I’m a pretentious fucker who loves adding the subtext and layers of meaning to everything.

fits pre-Reddington Ress, and, well, Ress in general. Since that AA meeting in a church, I’ve headcanoned Ress as a strong believer in God (he never actually openly mentions it, so as I see it, his faith is a personal matter to him which is something I also relate to).

Ressler’s relationships with Reddington and Henry/Mitchell are two turning points at which Ressler has been broken and reborn again to navigate through the gray world he’s living in.

Incest and pedophilia aren't just "uncomfortable topics", they're things that are actually criminal offenses in the real world and in general just immoral. It's not about what I personally deem is right, it's that in society this is a punishable offense and I can almost guarantee that if you have anyone in your close circle in real life, if you admitted to them the kind of content you enjoy, they'd probably never speak to you ever again: If you feel like you have to go out of your way to justify why you should be able to like something, it's probably something you shouldn't be liking in the first place. What you enjoy in fiction, is a reflection of your own interests in the real world, whether you're mature enough to admit that to yourself or not. Just because "the character isn't living and breathing" doesn't make it any less of a concern: If you're attracted to twelve year old character, me and literally anyone else with a functioning brain are going to assume you're attracted to children in real life.
