i think what tyler meant with “our brains are sick but that’s okay” was that it’s okay to be mentally ill and you should have no shame in that. but i dont believe he meant it like “it’s okay to be sad all the time and have self destructive thoughts”. some people take it that way and it’s definitely NOT how it should be. constant self destructive/negative thoughts are not normal.

don’t take it out of context. don’t validate your bad mental state by thinking it’s okay to be sick and that you don’t have to do anything about it.

but like i said, it’s okay to be mentally ill, don’t be ashamed of it. but please get help if you arent already.
