Meet the Yellows

Hello. We're the Yellow Lizards in that one room in Underhang beneath the gate to Five Pebbles. If you're a slugcat, we're going to eat you. Or if you're a dropwig. Or eggbug! Or centipede. Or squidcada. Really anything we can fit in our mouths.

Hello, it's JA here with a new RP blog, yippee! I've always wanted to do a multi-character blog, so here we are.

I'm Alpha. He/him. Pack leader. You can recognize me because I have the longest antennae, and the fact I can leap.

I'm Creamsickle. She/her. Hunter. I'm the most orange colored one, with the scars.

We're Spark and Wire. He/they and she/they. Juveniles. Spark is the one missing an antenna, Wire's the one with the scrape on their snout.

Baby (Name is Gold, he/him).

I'm Sunset (any pronouns), and I'm an orange lizard. You can recognize me from the slime mold- the yellower patch on my nose. (Note from Alpha: We all know they're not a yellow lizard.)

... (Note from Wire: That's Stargazer. They're a black lizard. Spend all their time on the radio antennae, except when we're hunting. They think they're in a group of black lizards. They/them.)

K so now that introductions are done, here's the ground rules and some basic lore.

First of all, no bots, bigots, politics, preachers, AI, etc, here. This is for silly RP. Also no NSFW; suggestive is fine, but keep it to a minimum.

Anyways a fun fact about all of the lizards:

Alpha and Gold are the only ones actually native to Underhang. The others migrated over from a variety of regions.

Creamsickle allegedly fought and killed a Miros Bird on the way up.

Spark and Wire are twins, and both lived on Communications Array for some time.

Sunset is actually a tamed lizard. They couldn't follow the one that tamed them, but their friendliness remained. They're also scared of heights.

Stargazer actually lived inside Five Pebbles until Rot began spreading. They ate enough neuron flies that their whiskers are basically Iterator strata (wall grass) and they can pick up electrical signals.

The "Gang Warfare" tag is for interactions with the @ask-the-wall-cyan-gang.

[Setting up camera to record a video] Ah, there we go. Here, we can see the wild yellow lizards. We are currently in The Underhang, where the yellow lizards usually flock to either to stay, or temporarily. Yellow lizards are always in packs, just like these ones here. They communicate through their atenna, just like the Skarr tribe. Although, this breed of lizard are usually seen in Sky Islands or Communications Array. Oh, and here's some emerging from their dens, with a pink lizard and a unique slugcat, for the daily hunt...

*sniff sniff*

Voice... not like the usual antenna voices.

Stargazer, sense anything?

*Stargazer is sniffing their way over to the camera*

That might be dangerous. Let go!

*Creamsickle topples the camera with a full-body tackle and snaps the tripod*

(Zap starts slowly approaching you licking their lips)

(zap's and voltage's bodies recoil back a bit)

Zap: "WHAT? NO?! THE ONLY THING WE WOULD BE HITTING ON YOU WITH IS OUR CLAWS"

(zap starts backing away)

ember: "ain't no way you are trying to flirt with a lizard"

(you can feel a togue grab onto you from above and starts pulling you up) Jet: "we will let it slide this time paint"

(Survivor throws a flashbang on the ground)

Jet: "OH SHIT" (it makes all the lizards flinch and paint ends up dropping you)

*Sunset has began aggressively sprinting after @survivor-rw-rp, and Alpha is charging up a leap, while the others face the Wall Gang head on*

*Western music begins playing as the yellow lizards Spark, Wire, and Creamsickle face off against the other group*

This structure ain't big enough for the two of us.

Why'd you change your accent?

Jet: "agility verse brute strength, 5v3, your leader didnt think too well about this now did they?" Voltage: "so this structure aint big enough for both of our groups but one member? also there is a lot of room around"

Zap: "LEEEEEEEEETS DOOOOOOOOOO IIIIIIIIITTT"

(all the cyans start charging a leap) Jet: "PAINT GET ON THEIR FLANK AND STOP THEM FROMN LANDING BITES" Paint: "GOT IT"

But we're more coordinated.

We can talk without you hearing.

And with Alpha away, you can't disable it.

But one bite to the tail and there goes your leaps.

And I've killed a Miros Bird. You're no trouble.

*The gang's antennae rise into the air. Creamsickle readies her huge jaws and stands by the wall, while the twins stand in defensive position at the ready, lashing their tails*

If we need to, we can call those two right back here. Alpha can leap too, and he's stronger than them. You need my help? Or Sunset's help? No! Get the slugcat!

Should we get Stargazer? You know Stargazer can't fight. He's built for enclosed spaces. Who attacks first? They'll just dodge if we try to strike. And the white one could sneak up. Then we stay defensive. If you feel a bite but don't see it, get the other twin to take care of it. You're doing great at planning! Don't focus on us, you dimwitted fool, catch the slugcat!

*The gang remains still, locked in a defensive position. Creamsickle's jaws are bared and ready to snap shut, while the twins are keeping an eye on the group, muscles tense*

Jet: "we know the area around here better then you do so we know where to go when that starts coming down"

(looking above a king vulture starts descending above everyone)

Jet: "SCATTER, LET IT SOFTEN THEM UP. YOU KNOW WHERE TO REGROUP"

(they all dash off in a bunch of directions leaving you to deal with the vulture)

King Vulture. Oh, fun. What do we do? A King Vulture isn't big enough to take us all on if we regroup. If we bring it down, we can take pieces back to eat. No need going after the slugcat. We can't eat the whole thing. They'll get some too. Not if we push off the remaining body. That's a good point, actually. ALPHA! Already on my way with Sunset.

*Creamsickle stays still and angles her armored head up, waiting for the others to scatter so it'll go for her*

*The others have positioned themselves beneath various concrete ledges and in some tunnels, muscles tensed as the King Vulture descends*

*At the last second, Creamsickle rolls out of the way of a harpoon, while Wire leaps at the thing, biting its neck to make sure it misses the next shot*

*Alpha leaps in soon after, teeth latching onto the wing and dragging it off course. Sunset clambers over the body after giving it a good bite, forming a defensive formation with Wire, while Alpha and Creamsickle begin tearing at the thing's neck and head*

(a togue grabs onto sunset's head restraining them as one of the cyans quickly dashes in a gets a bite off on wire before dashing off again before you can do anything)

You motherfu- *Wire snaps at the Cyan as it jets off but misses before turning and biting down on the tongue restraining Sunset*

Alpha turns immediately, before charging a leap and releasing a burst of yellowish light, dashing at the cyan attacking Sunset and clamping his jaws onto their tail*

*Creamsickle has managed to tear off the King Vulture's head, lifting both the mask and head together and spitting it out*

Twins, move the vulture corpse. Me and the others will get these bastards.

*The twins retreat, Wire limping over and tearing off a wing, while Spark quickly snaps up the head. They both disappear into the nearest pipe back to Underhang*

*Alpha bites down hard on the jump rings, making sure the one that attacked Sunset can't leap for a while, while Creamsickle quickly tosses a chunk of vulture neck towards the pipe and drags the corpse into the corner*

*The remaining group pushes the one they attacked (who is it??) onto a lower level, before getting into the corner in front of the corpse and readies their jaws to bite down, preventing any surprises*

Paint: "ow my togue"

ember: "AH SHIT, VOID DAMNIT" (the other cyans quickly rush to ember's side guarding them as they retreat back) Zap: "what other bullshit could we pull?"

Jet: "right, i know. aim for their back legs, dont let them move. watch out for the big one"

(Jet signals something and they all start approaching again)

Voltage: "3v3. this is our turf, you have your own yet you be greedy. you are luckily the purple slugcat is sleeping"

Oh, I remember them! I helped them once!

Didn't they injure Stargazer?

Yes, but they were just defending themself.

Wha- whatever!

Our pack is larger, and our turf has less food.

And we have young back home.

*Alpha falls silent, muscles tense, until...*

Alpha leaps forward with a burst of yellow light and gas, flinging his full body weight at Jet and biting!

Sunset charges forward, covering his flank, while Creamsickle keeps her back to the wall, seemingly ready to charge at a moment's notice.

Just two of us here right now. They can't hear us plan. But Sunset can't either. Sunset can handle themself. Knowing them they'll try to make friends with the Cyans.

(Voltage manages to tackle you before you can hit Jet and bites down hard on one of your antennas, the type of force that a slugcat would find lethal. They quickly dash away)

Jet: "NICE SAVE AND HIT"

*Sunset lets out a hiss of dismay, before running at Jet in Alpha's stead and trying to bite their jump rings*

*Meanwhile, Creamsickle surges into action, attempting to pin Zap with her body weight and teeth*

*Alpha pauses, trying to telepathically communicate for a moment before giving up on that, choosing to try defend Sunset's flank from attacks*

*The pipe back to Underhang flashes yellow. The twins will be back in: 2 rounds.*

Sunset's attack: 11.

Creamsickle's attack: 4.

Alpha's defense: 6.

(Zap counters Creamsickle going after them head on and tries biting at your antenna)

(Jet tries dodging back at least trying to not let their jump rings get bit)

(Paint licks onto Sunset's head trying to stop them from biting Jet)

(Voltage dashes at Alpha going for their antennas or what ever is letting them dash)

TURN 1 RESULTS:

Sunset's attack hits Jet, Paint's tongue whipping past them as they bite down!

Creamsickle manages to land a hit, before Zap strikes back with a bite to the antennae!

Alpha's rings have been bit by Voltage, removing his dash ability!

The Twins arrive in: 1 round.

Underhang Gang's turn!

Creamsickle lets out a snarl, before trying to using her side to deliver a bodyslam to Zap.

Alpha attempts a counterattack on Voltage, trying to bite their tail and fling them!

Sunset notices Alpha having problems, considering for a moment before trying to disable Paint's tongue via biting.

Creamsickle's attack: 10.

Alpha's counterattack: 7

Sunset's attack: 6.

(Jet lets out a grunt of pain and Sunset manages to temporally disable one of their jump rings. Jet gets back up and charges Alpha trying to disable their antennas)

(Voltage counters Alpha's counter aiming for their neck) (Zap braces for the attack)

(Paint jumps on Sunset aiming for the back of their neck)

Jet attack: 3

Voltage counterattack: 9

Zap defense: 4

TURN 2 RESULTS:

Creamsickle's body slam lands true, rendering Zap immobile as she pins him with her full weight.

Jet is unable to leap for an amount of time thanks to Sunset's bite, but is trying to attack Alpha's antennae (again...)

Paint cannot use their tongue, but has lept onto Sunset and is attempting a bite!

Voltage has dodged a bite from Alpha, and is attempting to bite their neck!

The twins Wire and Spark lunge out of the pipe, hissing and ready to strike!

Underhang Gang's turn!

Creamsickle attempts a follow-up by biting Jet's midsection and slamming them into the floor!

Sunset hisses, before curling his neck and flicking his armored head back to try and deflect the bite from Paint!

Alpha attempts to counter the counter-counter-attack by bucking to try and throw off Voltage!

Wire and Spark see the predicament Alpha is in, Spark trying to bite Jet's side while Wire slams her head into his head, trying to disorient!

Creamsickle's attack on Zap: 7! (success)

Sunset's defense against Paint: 11! (success)

Alpha's counterattack on Voltage: 7! (fail)

Spark's attack on Jet: 4! (TBD)

Hey, do we... huff... need to keep... fighting? The slugcat's gone already.

(Sunset is having second thoughts, but gets into a defensive position nonetheless)

The scug wakes up, stretches and goes outside of the shelter rubbing his eyes. When he saw Cyan and Yellow lizards fighting, he immediately grew a pair of spears from his tail and runned towards the lizards.

He was waving his hands at the Jet and Sunset primarily, because they were the only ones who would listen to him. Though, in case other lizards would attack him, he'll be ready to counter-attack.

The purple slugcat?

Hey, wait a minute. *Creamsickle drops Zap, approaching with a growl*

H-hey, Creamsickle, stop. It's not worth the struggle.

Just grab the rest of the King Vulture and go.

*Creamsickle looks indecisive for a second, before finally relenting, grabbing half the King Vulture corpse and carrying it with the Twins*

*Alpha and Sunset remain, scrutinizing Spearmaster*

Is it friends with these lizards?

Probably.

What do we do?

Leave?

We could eat it...

Not if we're injured.

Just leave it, then?

Guess so.

Hey, didn't you find some strange thing?

Yeah, I did. I'll talk to the group about it once we're back.

Spears came closer to the Sunset and, with a bit of hesitation, pets them on the head. He knew that they saved him once from getting eaten and that they were friendly enough. He waved at Jet for them to come closer and translate what he's saying.

Okay... *Sunset reluctantly stops getting pet, shuffling back with Alpha*

*Sunset and Alpha hoist the remnants of the King Vulture corpse in their teeth, mostly just chunks of the body, the mask, and some neck, and haul it towards the pipe back to Underhang*

*Within seconds, they enter the pipe. After a few minutes, it flashes yellow as they exit, then fades to its normal black color*

This here is Stargazer, one of our packmates. As you may be able to tell, they can't see, and we can't telepathically communicate.

They were attempting to hunt a slugcat, one of the more dangerous ones, and it hit them twice with some quills.

Creamsickle here managed to get them to a den in time and staunch the bleeding. We're slowly getting them healthy again, but it's a challenge. They lost quite a bit of blood and nutrients in the encounter.

(amber heads over to the edge and looks back before backflipping off and you can hear them fly off)

(about when the cycle is about to end they come back with two dead lantern mice skewed on their tusks and carrying a dead adult centipede in their mouth which they promptly drop and unhook the mice)

Hey, I found this weird thing above us, and caught a stray blue lizard we could ea- who's this?

This is Amber. *Alpha takes the corpse of the blue lizard, chewing off a bit of the tail and feeding it to Stargazer*

Apologies for that, Amber. We were just a bit, err... concerned.

This here is Stargazer, one of our packmates. As you may be able to tell, they can't see, and we can't telepathically communicate.

They were attempting to hunt a slugcat, one of the more dangerous ones, and it hit them twice with some quills.

Creamsickle here managed to get them to a den in time and staunch the bleeding. We're slowly getting them healthy again, but it's a challenge. They lost quite a bit of blood and nutrients in the encounter.

It's all watery. Like a soup of rotten lumps. Makes you sick if you eat it, kills you if you eat too much.

Something rich in nutrients, ideally.

If you fly down below there's plenty of glowing rodents and spiders. I know from experience, it's easy prey. They shouldn't know how to deal with flying predators.
