Lily liked Taylorâs birthday posts in 2019.
Lily and Taylorâs mom at the Rep tour getting their photo taken by a fan.
Taylor released the âforever is the sweetest conâ chapter on Lilyâs birthday in 2021.
is it just me or the way taylor performed false god in snl when dianna was in the audience has the same vibe when taylor was singing dress to karlie. it's the hand movements for me đ
Yes. This keeps me up at night.
just thinking about these looqs xx

idk exactly about other artists but I know something similar happened with Blue, she was retroactively nominated for brown skinned girl this same Grammys and from the way people talked about it, it's really not something unusual to happen, in Blue's case it only became news because, well, she's 9
grammy winner blue ivy đ why did it happen retroactively though? the reasons why might help it seem less strange to people
blue got added to the nom list a little bit after the nominations went out but in a common enough way
"The eight-year-old daughter of BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Z was added to the nominees for best music video for her mother's âBrown Skin Girl" on Friday (Dec. 11). She wasn't listed when the nominations were announced on Nov. 23, but itâs not uncommon for adjustments to be made in the weeks following the announcement."
blue ivy was literally IN the music video for brown skin girl there was never any question about that.
that's not what happened with joe, who as far as we knew was not involved with 4/6 of the songs that have now won him a grammy until a month after the grammys passed which is highly uncommon. taylor directed and executive produced a whole documentary explaining what went into the writing and production of these songs and only mentioned joe on two songs and she then did speak in depth about his contributions.
joe being added so late to the production credits is HIGHLY bizarre and unusual according to everyone I've spoken to that works in the music industry, including an actual music producer and I have yet to see another case like this (but would love to read up on one if there is one! please pass along if you've got one.)
are we gonna get an anecdote about how taylor just wandered into the studio one day to find joe manning the board like a pro
This is all Iâm going to personally say about this because I simply donât have the knowledge (or interest, to be perfectly honest) on the subject to comment more, but this tweet pissed me off:
Like thatâs literally our point?
Historically, legendary artists - Iâm talking Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry & Snoop Dogg level legendary - have been snubbed by the Grammyâs. Yet Joe (who I am quite literally a fan of so donât come for me there) did some writing and producing that he was only able to do because heâs Taylor Swiftâs boyfriend. Maybe heâs a great producer! Maybe heâs Grammy-worthy! Itâs still nepotism. That is fact. Whether you think itâs fair or not, that is fact. It is nepotism. Like literally the definition:
Itâs like how Bella & Gigi Hadid may still be good models and deserve success, but they got their place in the industry through nepotism. That is what people donât like, because it is an unfair advantage, deserving or not.
And you can be fine with that! Not everyone is against nepotism, often those with influence, or who arenât anti-capitalist, donât care about it. However, donât then try to say that people are only mad bc they âdonât like Joeâ or that they âwant Taylor to be gayâ or the other reasons Iâve seen Swifties spouting. It is because itâs not a good look. Iâm sure many of us have experienced nepotism - look how hard it is to get into so-called âprestigious universitiesâ because of all the nepotism that goes on.
Imagine how it feels for those that have fought their way to the top for this award, then lost, only to see a man that was barely even credited getting one. Joe hasnât even spoken about it. No interviews, no thank you in his notes app. People are allowed to feel weird about this, especially those that are fans of other deserving artists that donât have the same privileges, such as Nicki Minaj or The Weeknd.
Furthermore, the way they handled the situation was very shady, and I doubt it wouldâve caused nearly as much drama if not done on the down-low with little to no recognition, with fudged dates and secrecy. Because this way it does seem, to those looking objectively, that she âsnuckâ the credit in just to get her bf a nice award. Whether thatâs the case or not, it leaves a bad taste.
Defend the action if you feel so inclined, but donât try to demean otherâs opinions about the subject because it doesnât bother you. And please donât use this as a âflexâ on other artists because Grammy-worthy producer boyfriend or not, nepotism still got said boyfriend the Grammy.
To sum up my feelings: Joe is WB. WB (and therefore Joe) got a Grammy because his connection to Taylor gave him the opportunity. People may find this sleezy or shady, something they donât expect from Taylor. It doesnât mean that they arenât true fans of Taylor, because CRITICISM â HATE.
i love mess
